6/3/23 - Response to Ashley Homestores Auburn. Regardless of whether the “seperate/free lance delivery person” is seldom used by your organisation it is a service Ashley Homestores Auburn recommended to us. We do hold Ashley Homestore Auburn responsible as we did not find this delivery service ourselves. You recommended, we accepted and you proceeded to book them for us. Yes, we have now received a receipt - 1 week after payment and only after numerous phone calls, texts and a complaint to several government bodies! Thank you for apologising for the inconvenience caused however I do see tones of deflection in your response to my initial post. Initial review - We purchased a 3 seater sofa from Ashley Homestore Auburn which was delivered 19/2/23. The experience in the store and the sales process was smooth and I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the aftermath of shocking and illegal behaviour demonstrated by a service that Ashley Homestore Auburn endorsed. We were highly recommended to use a delivery service the Ashley Homestore staff praised. Big mistake. On the day of delivery we were met with two extremely rude men who were disrespectful and were giggling unnecessarily. Their initial attempt to get the sofa to a level 1 apartment, which has a small flight of steps, a lift via the main entrance, or direct entry via a courtyard was where the problem started. The sofa was pushed and squeezed into a lift with the door not shutting. We had to ask the delivery staff to stop forcing the lift doors to close. After bringing the sofa up a small flight of stairs we saw the sofa was going to be difficult to fit through the front door due to packaging and asked the delivery duo to take care with the freshly painted walls and doors. Their response "what can we do, I can't guarantee that". This was a selling point of the sales lady at Ashley Homestore Auburn for using this service, that care would be given and if damage was made the delivery service would fix it. After a brief stand off and not allowing them in to the property Ashley Homestore Auburn staff were contacted. Subsequently, Ashley Homestore Auburn staff contacted the delivery people who then agreed to bring the sofa in from the front court yard - a large double sliding door. After delivery was made we paid $126 to "Nick" and asked for a receipt. He responded that we could get a receipt for the transaction from Ashley Homestore Auburn. I informed Nick this was not what we were informed by Ashley Homestore Auburn staff as they had told us the delivery people were sub-contractors. I requested a receipt on the spot as this was the point of sale but we were not provided one. Nick assured us a receipt would be emailed. The assurance was given verbally and via text message and he even took down our email address. It is now Friday 24/2/2023 and after several phone calls, texts to Nick and Ashley Homestore Auburn we still do not have a receipt. I contacted Ashley Homestore Auburn today who said the delivery people may be "cash". I expressed disappointment with their organisation doing business with a delivery service who operates under cash terms the response I got was "OMG I'm not dealing with this". Ashley Homestore in Auburn did not give us the business name of the delivery service they praised so highly. Buyer beware of the cash only delivery service Ashley Homestore Auburn is recommending. We now have no choice but to refer this to the Department of Fair Trading, The Australian Taxation Office and the ACCC.

Dear Ashley: As a reply to your comment. Funny how you are accusing that my review is not from what I ordered from Ashley Furniture. For your peace of mind RE: Online order, Invoice #2325314. I ordered 4 items: Taylen dining table, Bellingen buffet table, Dayton Hall table, Avenel set of 3 tables. After paying, I got an email 2 days later that the Avenel set was over sold. That’s fine, I was refunded. The delivery was set on 16/11/2023 through Auburn. On the 14th I sent an email to Ashley Auburn's to follow up. Got replied the next morning that yes on the 16th. After an hour I got a call that my 3 orders are not gonna be delivered until 30th because one is not yet in their warehouse, and the lady was a bit snappy. I asked to deliver the 2 onhand and they said they cannot do that. Then come 3pm I got a call from the courier that they are coming in 30mins to deliver and better have someone at home!! Good thing my hubby rushed home that day and delivery arrived after 4pm. My Bellingen table has a scratch on the front left side but I cannot be bothered returning this because their customer service is appalling. Now I am following up for the Dayton hall table coz it was set on 30th originally, only to find out that it will be delivered on the 7th of December. What is wrong with these people not communicating and doing their job. I cannot trust them anymore, especially this Auburn store.

We got our couch delivered yesterday. There is no problem with the couch so far, but the information given to us has been misleading. 1. While booking the couch, we weren't informed that any cancellation would incur charges by the agent (we weren't sure if the couch would fit into the apartment and wanted to have the option to change our couch). Invoices are generated later and have the TnC's that mention the cancellation charges. 2. We had pre ordered the couch, and the ETA kept changing by a month. In anticipation, we bought a temporary couch only to be informed that our couch was ready to be collected a week later. Edit 28/11/2023: We had got a call from Eric as soon as I posted the review. He was more focused on asserting his frustration about the review rather than actually understanding the reason for the review. Cherry on top was that he told us he didn't make any money on the couch because it was on sale (not our fault) and said sold couches worth 50k. I am glad he could vent out his frustration on a customer. Hope that helped him feel better.

Extremely disappointed with Ashely Furniture. Probably the last time we will do any business with them. We bought a dinning table spending 2k and after 3 weeks of delivery we realised its too big for our dinning space in our new house based on measurements. Furniture is unopened in box as it was delivered. However Ashley furniture would not accept a swap for a smaller table. Instead they would buy back at 80% of the cost. What a CONVINIENT RIP OFF. They showed us the fine print on the invoice which states this. Who reads all that? You would expect a decent curtesy for an exchange from a reputed furniture store for an item in an unopened original box for a genuine reason. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY unless you are certain of what you need. Unless THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF in broad daylight!!! Now we are left with a table that's too big for our needs. Had it been with another retailor, it would have been a simple exchange. How hard is that? Unbelievable!

I’m not a really type of person to leave a google review wether good or bad but this stores obnoxious and idiotic response to the problem they caused really got me up to write a review. We ordered a bed which came with all sorts of problems. Bed frame being broken, mattress not fitting, scratches as i posted in the picture. After ignoring calls and months of debate on a stupid and simple solution which we just wanted a simple refund for all the trouble they put us up with. They offered to fix a bed which takes 4 month apparently to order. Or we just cop a 80% refund which seems highly questionable with why do i need to pay for your faulty item. Absolutely speechless as i did not experience this level of customer service in my life.

DO NOT Buy anything from Ashley Furniture. I ordered a dining table and chairs and it took 7 months to be delivered. Every time I asked when it was coming I was told it was coming next month or that some items had been delayed which delayed the whole order. Absolutely useless and they didn’t care. I was told finally that the order was being delivered on a Saturday and I stayed home all day, nothing arrived and when I questioned what happened I was told nothing was confirmed with the delivery partner - why could you have not told me that instead of wasting my time ?! It is not the store themselves. The sales people are great, it’s the after sales that is pathetic.

Terrible customer service going through worst experience for an order that cannot be delivered due to the size dont fit in the lift. The guy Eric has bad attitude and Vinesh never told me that customer has to measure the lift or passage of building which should be guided by them. Now they are asking 20% fee to refund my payment which is cheating. Asking me to pay delivery charges again as well. Plus they dont give good warranties too you have to purchase that as well. I am trying to get rid of my order. Will talk further to the manager Dipti next week again. Will never trade with them and would request everyone to stay away from them.

We were greeted with a Smiling & Welcoming person named Erick. He provided us a lot advice & opinion as we were confused on several things. He was honest & super patient. We are super happy with Ericks service, honestly if you want to shop from Ashley, Go ask for Erick as he provides, gives his opinion, & makes sure you get the best product you need. My family & I have never been more happier. We strongly recommend Ericks service & you will know once he helps you with your needs. He puts customers priorities & needs first before anything. Looking forward for more service & quality goods from Ashley’s with Ericks Service.

The shop deserves 3 stars. Reasons? Let start with the good ones. Good customer service pre sales. Polite staff. Fantastic and high quality furniture (worth the money). Gives good discount during sales. Bad ones. Poor in communication after sales. No updates unless asked. Too many hidden charges on delivery. (They charge $100 for delivery, $10 lift fee, $20/flight stair fee $20 parking fee) I find these is very disgusting in their part. So please ask for these things as they wouldn’t tell you about it. They are very cheeky on explaining these to you so be aware. This furniture company could do better!

I wish I can give zero stars. We have placed order in October and expected a delivery on mid of November. Since November I gave them call and they have no clear picture on delivery date. Today the store manager informed that there is delay in delivery as we haven’t promised any date we gave you ETA so we have to wait until mid to end of December for delivery. I would never recommend Ashley furniture as their customer service is terrible and upon asking their return policy. Their manager was changing statements. Staff isn’t well informed about the business policy.

I got the best customer service experience at Ashley Furniture at Auburn. I went there on their grand opening and was welcomed by such a warm welcoming staff. Eric was with us from the very moment and helped us with the selection of our lounge. He provided us the genuine guidance with area we have and lounge we wanted. Me and my wife made decision on the very moment and paid for it on the spot. Even after that, Eric was always available on phone and sorted out every issue we had. Eric, a big thanks to you for making our shopping experience at Ashleys so awesome.

So far the store at,Auburn has helped us very well and we have been able to find the furniture we are looking for. The layout of the shop is what I would expect in a proper furniture shop. I walked into the other stores in the same complex to see if there was anything of interest. It struck me that those shops look like store rooms non of the furniture was displayed. Ashley store managed by Dipti looks very inviting and the displays are tastefully presented making it easy to imagine how it looks in your own home. Well done. I can recommend this store to anyone.

Please buyers beware. Ashley will happily take your money and then you will hear absolutely nothing! We are desperately trying to get sn update on furniture ordered and paid in full months ago. No proactive communication, no estimated delivery date. Nothing. Asked if we could purxhase the floor stock after waiting forever and they had the hide to say it would be at new price. No discount given it is old floor stock. So fed up. Older couple who are sitting on fold out chairs while we wait. Appalling. Onto Consumer Affairs and ready to go ballistic. Stay tuned.

Just visited for the first time and it could have not gone any better than that. We were approached by Andres which provided us with one of the best customer services I have ever received. He was very calm, patient and considerate and did his best to give us the best deal. We initially only wanted to get a bed set but we ended up getting a whole dining set on top of that. Will certainly come back again and tell all my friends and family of the great experience that we had.

Ashley Furniture has absolutely stunning pieces for those like myself seeking unique, timeless and cosy furnishings to complete your home. It is not always easy to find comfort, practicality and elegance all in the one product, yet Ashley Furniture to its credit has been able to achieve exactly that. Recently we bought dining table from ashley furniture. It is maximum waiting time for 16weeks however we are happy to wait because dining table looks amazing. One of your amazing staff erick helping us all the process and explain about table. Also explain about wonderful warranty system as well. Ohhh my God…. Ashley furniture is the best in Sydney. I have looked for sofa a lot. These ones i bought from Ashley are amazing. I receive many compliments from friends when they come to my place.They are comfortable, stylish and unique. Andres ,one of the stuff helped us a lot and he is so warm , patient and smiley. He has been always very supportive. Definitely, i ll back there if i need anything else for my place.

Ashley Furniture has a vast collection in affordable to semi premium range. We bought our entire bedroom and living room furnitures from here after a month long exploration, visiting stores that had sub standard and over priced products. Jainam from the store was super helpful and knowledgeable. He understood our requirements and helped us find the right pieces for our home. Highly recommend this store.

Dipti and Vinesh at Ashley helped us immensely at our furniture search yesterday. Dipti went above and beyond to ensure we can have our stuff delivered, helped us make our choices and provided us all information , product advice without sugar coating anything. We await for our product at this stage, however, 10 on 10 on Dipti's dedication and commitment towards her work.

Worst experience I’ve had with a furniture store. Their product insurance is not available when you call, they say accidental damage is covered but it isn’t , it’s taken months and they just seem to not want to respond The couches broke within a couple of months and the fabric is poor quality, Do not buy here. I only gave the 1 star to post my review to warn others.

Worst experience ever …….we bought the whole house furniture from them….deepti and eric try to give you discounts and all but don’t fall for that…when we called them to tell them about the furniture and the quality they were so rude and didn’t want to help you ….we got ripped off….furniture didn’t last for six months and it’s falling apart….highly disappointed….

Worst experience I’ve had with a furniture store. The product delivery went beyond their estimated timeline and all they can tell is sorry. Don't fall in trap of "Product insurance" they sell as those guys don't respond and when respond.. its always some non sense questions and no intention of fixing the issue. Avoid if you want peace in your life.

The team at Ashley Furniture were extremely helpful. Erick was lovely to work with and he helped me with all the questions I had even after being so indecisive. I’m so glad I purchased from him and I will definitely be back for more. The service was exceptional, and I was able to receive my couches in a short amount of time.

The worst experience I ever had with those ppl! Waiting for a bedroom for 9months to come faulty, it took them 1 whole month to send a technician he still didn’t fix it and now they offered me $200 to fix it from my end The bedroom costed me $3000plus Rubbish quality, I will never recommend this store

Terrible customer service …. When it comes to payment , they call everyday… when it comes to customer service , they will not reply at all. Sales people are so arrogant and disrespectful. We are waiting for our sofa from Nov 2022. Whatever was delivered is of lowest quality you can think of!

Initial purchase of my Lounge was a great experience with Dipti however customer service thereafter was absolutely appalling Eric was the gentleman I have been liaising with he needs to work on his customer service he has been rude and extremely arrogant. I am offended with his behaviour….

Tell your sales people to back off! I was hassled 3 times in 5 minutes when it was clear I just wanted to have a look. Don't start telling me about a products features just cause I sat on it once, If I want to know, I'll ask! I certainly won't be coming back.
