By far the worst high school I've ever heard of. Apart from the IDT teachers that school is putrid. Teachers telling yr 12 students to drop out in term 2 because they are wasting their time because they don't want to go to uni after they leave and don't want an OP because they wish to do a trade when they are done and wont need one... disgusting behavior from teachers if you ask me. Also getting bullied by students and teachers on a regular basis. Students not being allowed text books or to do sport because they haven't paid fees in full. It's hard for single parents to fork out that much money all at once thats why you send your kids to public schools, and the fact they publicly shame kids infront of their peers that have pore parents. Kids shouldn't be punished for having parents that cant afford their fees. Don't bother sending your kids hear you'll regret it.

27/12/2016 9:26am Mrs Miller is a wonderful principal, and has done nothing wrong to any students, once upon a time Aspley had a bad name, but when Mrs Miller came to the school, the school improved significantly. To people who read this, please note; if you haven't experience an education at Aspley State High School, you do not know how Mrs Miller behaves to incidents or how she runs the school, but I can tell you from my 3 years at Aspley, have been really good, and Mrs Miller and staff at Aspley are nice, respectful and strict to all students. They will walk past students and give a nice "Good Morning" or "Hello", at the same time, they cares for students at the school and she is very strict on bullying. I therefore, highly recomend your Kid to go to Aspley State HIgh School.

I reported to a teacher that tyrone was being bullied outside the school grounds about 2 months ago. My sons went to this school and 1 was bullied excessively all reported to Jacquinta Miller it wasn't till i threatened police action that i was taken seriously the next incident my son was taken to hospital only then was the child suspended for 3 days. My son has been in counseling ever since and the fact that there was a brutal incident 1 month before with tyrone I find it Unbelievable that Ms Miller knew nothing about this bulling. She should be fired and prosecuted for this incident. A young boy has died and a mother grief stricken due to the school failure of duty of care

As a parent, my biggest regret in life was in sending my two kids to this school. 2/2 of my kids subjected to high doses of bullying. School had its head buried in the sand, with no real solutions. Very reactive (or not really, actually) and no planned approach to detecting, investigating and solving these issues. We moved one child in grade 10 to another school, after reaching crisis point and realising the school was in a dangerous state of denial. There were a few stand-out teachers and I’m very grateful for their individual brilliance. On the whole, it’s a “fail”.

I was travelling on the train today and I boarded the wrong service. I realised a few stops in. I was travelling with luggage and the train was packed with passengers, notably a large number of Aspley students. I had a very friendly and mature conversation with several students and they helped me without hesitation or reservation. I stood up to get off and around 20 tightly packed students made room for me and my luggage. The students were overwhelmingly lovely, courteous, and mature. A true testament to their school, parents, and community.

This school was a nightmare, I only lasted two terms. Everyday, there was at least one fight, the students did not get along because they were so obsessed with being popular. The teachers did not care at all, they only wanted to get through the school day so they could leave. My digital technology teacher told kids if they didn’t want to be there then they could leave she made a lot of people cry and deserves to be fired.

They protect the bullies, until it's too late. The teachers victimise the vulnerable students to breaking point and they push out the students that have trouble with school work, instead of supporting and helping, they encourage them to leave school. It's all about image with this school. The school has a big 'too hard to deal with' bin, only because they can't sweep anymore under the carpet. That's too full aswell.

This school doesn't even deserve a star. Worst school ever. Principal should be sacked. I went to this school and the worst thing i did was stay i should've left on the 1st day of school... bullied for 5 years!! Nothing was ever done about it!! I ended up getting punched up in gear 12, the girl still got to go to the formal and graduate!!! Do your selves a favour don’t even bother with this s...t hole

I attended this school and it was the worst experience I have ever been through! Was bullied all through from year 8 through to year 10 and nothing was done about it went to try and have something done from police as well then was told the school had to do something but still nothing! I have unnecessary trauma and ptsd from attending DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!

My son currently goes to this school and I’d have to say the worst school I’ve ever put my child into. Bullying is extreme yet they pass it off by saying there’s no evidence, suspensions are out of control it seems to be the easy solution instead of looking at the issue and resolving it. My advice is let’s all stick together and take this to the media.

I would never advice anyone to put their child in this school My daughter saw her friend die through suicide from bullying Then she was excessively bullied as well The school have no successful bullying program In the whole time after sending principal numerous email she only replied once my daughter left that school It was a disgrace

The best years of my life were spent at ASHS! I made some wonderful life long friends, had so many laughs and had amazing teachers, notably Mr Dorey who was my form teacher and basketball coach! I will always have fond memories of this school and thank you for shaping me in to the adult I am today …

This school is riddled with bullies who think it’s cool to break jaws, threaten students and parents and bash fellow peers. The school does nothing about it and turns a blind eye to all the bullying and bashing that happens. It’s disgusting. Do not send your child here.

Its a great school people, I've before and I heard about the tyrone bullying problem and I was friends with him. He was a great friend. R.I.P. him. Ever since that problem happened, no bullying problems ever happened. TRUST ME, ITS A GREAT SCHOOL.

The school is awesome, way better than many others that I have been to, the education is great, the only problem is the people who were expelled who hangout at the train station, the teachers are lovely and non-bias.

This school is just terrible. Horrible reputation and lack of education in many forms. I do not recommend this school in any way, unless you want your child to commit suicide.

I was an ex Aspley State High School Student and I really enjoyed the high school, The teachers are very friendly and really did enjoy being at Aspley for 5 years.

All my friends moved here after graduating primary, and I've never seen them since, pretty sure this place is actively killing children

Great school. The 2022 school captains are alright, I mean Eva is the better captain just because manit is trash with his triangles.

The students at Aspley High school put on an amazing production of 'Grease'..hats off to all involved. A great family night out.
