It's pretty quiet! I know it's a library but that is not always the case at libraries. My favorite part of this particular one is the "Study Rooms". Daily, you can come in and request a study room (if it is open of course) for 2 hours just to be to yourself and work on whatever you need to work on. At home I wish I had space like that but not quite yet ... LoL The staff is friendly and funny. I don't speak Spanish but the staff is definitely ready for those that do. My wife attends a class/meet-up just to speak Spanish with Spanish speaking people and for those Spanish speaking people to get to test out their English. This library has a steady calendar of activities usually going on. The times when those are happening it isn't the quietest but nothing is overbearing.

Wow, I nice little library gem on busy South Blvd! It was only by chance I found out about this location due to having a business meeting selected here. The library itself is right off of the main street, so you can easily miss it if you are going to fast on the Boulevard. That is about my only observed downfall, which motorists can appreciate if you are using GPS especially! Inside, the library was clean, organized, and had a nice modern feel. The help was friendly, and courteous. You feel the open space inside and will be able to take tour time with the purpose of your visit. Recommend taking the little ones to experience what a local Charlotte based library outside of uptown should feel like

Scaleybark Small parking lot, but they are in a center so there is other parking around. Very small branch, you can see the whole place when you walk in. Restrooms with a changing table. Older crowd during early hours. Friendly staff. Has a teen zone Couple of adult computers Large selection of books for sale Children's area is small and separated by book shelves. Two kids computers. A kitchen set with lots of food. Bins organized by toy groups. Puzzles. Train table. Magnetic board with letters. Kid tables and chairs. Good sized DVD collection. Large easy reader section. Overall a nice library, but the lack of space makes you feel like you have to be EXTRA quiet to not bother others.

I love the new facility. I went to the old one and was so confused it was like a new business and I was lost then I kept walking down on my Google Maps gps and arrived at the new location. So grateful to see it and I went today briefly,but that's my new liberty spot. They have quiet book reading room, deals for you to work at and free wifi . Also you can reserve the computer with a library or guest card. Even have a cute kids section for the youth to do practically the same things Plenty of activities listed on the calendar ️ to not be bored and useful resources. Even the Queen Charlotte is there . #itakegreatpics

This is the nicest branch of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library that I've been to. It was just recently redone. I don't go to the library often anymore since I just get e-books online through their digital program. This isn't my normal branch, but I was running errands and in the area. As a millennial that doesn't own a printer, I really appreciate that the library has free printing. You can print from a computer or they also have a mobile app you can upload documents to print. I highly recommend forgoing your printer and just using the library!

This location is very nice and it's in a good location. The homeless are allowed to come in and stay cool which is a plus. I had an issue today with the one of the study rooms and I was very irriated and I was not happy with the way it was handled by the employee. They need to make sure that everyone understands the new policy for the work study rooms . And the lady that handled it needs to show compassion.

Librarians are helpful and kind. Library is well organized and very clean, placing holds is easy, checkout is simple, and most times of the day, it is quiet. Great place to study or do work. You can reserve an office space or study room for yourself which is great if you need a little extra privacy. Pleasantly surprised by this library.

The police/security man tells you to get out if you get a phone call but he talks out loud with others in the room and nobody can tell him anything. Please correct yourself first if you are the leading example. I understand little talks as long as they're not loud and mindful of others around.

I love this place granted the location is small due to it being a neighborhood branch and those seeking a bigger facility should go elsewhere. While the size may dissuade some I find it enjoyable the staff is always more than willing to help me out when need be.

Very small branch and extremely loud. I wouldn't recommend coming here to study or read unless you can ignore the noise. Still, the branch is clean and well maintained, with a number of computers available for those who need them.

I was followed around the library like I was going to steal something I just got off megabus coming from Atlanta and I needed to print tickets for carowinds but since this employee was following my every move I left the library

Great Library brand New building from the ground up. If you want a Library card you have to have your identification card and a bill from your home or lease agreement which is a bit much to me identification should be enough.

Love the new S. Blvd Library & location. Formerly Scaley Bark, the check out materials are better. The study rooms are great, plenty of computers and seating areas. They have vending machines. Love It! ♥️ …

I love taking my toddler to story time here! Ms. Erin is the best! We bring the whole family a few times a week to play and check out books. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

The staff is knowledgeable , the selection is small but eclectic, the security guard is a mainstay and the WiFi corner is a dream another perfect PLCMC Branch!

I haven't been since the covid but it looks to be remodeled. it is very nice and roomy and quiet in there.

Printing is free, librarians were very helpful, and even stopped to ask if my 8yr old wanted to do art.
