I wish there was a negative star scale, I’d give this place -5 stars. Paid $16 dollars for a traffic jam. My original garage I picked on SpotHero was inaccessible due to road/utility work, (first of many challenges on this mother/daughter trip into DC-will be contacting SpotHero for hopefully a refund). This garage was literally less than a block away from the inaccessible one. I chose it so we could park and make our show on time. 45 min later I finally got out of there-it was “a trashcan fire” as my 16 year old described it. Not enough room for two cars to pass each other on any level, pretty much all subcompact car parking only and even that’s limited as there are a lot of reserved spots for monthly parking and EV vehicles and valet. and every huge SUV in was town trying to find a spot (plus my minivan -why do we all drive huge vehicles? I felt like Richard Hammond in Colombia in his truck). Had to turn around at lowest level since my minivan wasn’t fitting anywhere and there is a dead end on the lowest level. Everyone else also turned around. No fun sitting in standstill traffic underground—people were actually getting out of their cars to walk forward to see what was going on (or NOT going on). Needless to say we missed our show and I’m out even more money for parking. I will never park there again.
As I was having a medical emergency and needed to leave the garage it took over 30 minutes for me to retrieve my vehicle from the vallet. I stated earlier when I dropped the vehicle off that I would be back 5:15pm but due to the emergency I had to leave early. I prepaid prior to going into the garage and was charged an additional 8 dollars to leave after speaking with two operators that had the capability to open the gate due to the additional charge and their employees negligence. I've been using this garage for the past year due to the height of the vehicles it can take and the earlybird special but if you're having an emergency and you have to rely on their staff I would definitely recommend other garages not managed by Colonial
I pulled into the garage and the sign clearly offered a choice, either valet or self park. An attendant stopped me and said that I “would do valet”. I said no and he said you can do valet or park somewhere else. I laughed in his face and the he said that I could self park on P3. I was already inside on the second level or I definitely would have parked somewhere else. There is plenty of parking in the area. Don’t waste your time here!
Beware! I parked here last nigh 6/11/2022 and used my debit card to pay the $15 fee. This is the ONLY place I used my debit card all day. The next day I experienced numerous fraudulent charges to my card for restaurants (Pizza Hut, El Polla Loco, & Subway) located in Los Angeles -- very suspicious. I've never been to any of these restaurants in years.
The $16 early bird special is a good deal if in before 9am & out by 6pm. However the majority of the parking is valet/reserved and for compact vehicles only. Maneuvering a mid size SUV in this garage is not easy depending on parking spot availability. Garage dead ends at lowest level. Definitely not recommended for full size SUVs / pickup trucks.
Their street sign and signs posted in the garage all state $16 all day parking Saturday and Sunday yet I was charged the Monday thru Friday daily max of $25. We parked 2 vehicles in the garage and the other vehicle was only charged $16, we entered and exited one behind the other, not sure why 1 was charged more than the other.
10/20/2022 reserved a parking spot using spot hero and the attendant insisted on valet on vehicle. The attendant states this is a valet only garage that I can not park myself and there is no spot available, if we attempted to self park. Very aggressive and argued in attempting to valet my vehicle. Do not use their garage!!
I was a monthly parker here for 4 months then cancelled. It took me 3 months to get a refund for 2 days I had to pay at the beginning of my monthly parking before my key card was activated. The employees and customer service are incompetent and scammers. Do not park here.
It’s a scam! They charged us 91$, that is was not correct. Assistant admitted it, but to get your money back you have to call manager. I saw in other reviews people met exact the same situation. If you have time to fight with them your are welcome to this parking.
