"fantastic school, close community and caring teachers"
"I hated attending this school and I am so glad I left"
"I attended this college in the years 1979 till 1983"
"Still remember my first day got shouted at by some old white itch Karen when I just walked through the door for not having a tucked in shirt (even though it was my first day and I just got there)"
"Both of boys are at Coorparoo Secondary College"
fantastic school, close community and caring teachers. nobody knows who stole that bathroom door but fairly it does show some practical skills to sneak out with a stall door the size of a year 10 kid. regardless, i would definitely recommend this school to parents. bullying is much less present post 2017 and eshays are too busy trying to singlehandedly increase carbon emissions in the country to take your childs debit card. also (you didnt hear it from me) it has been said that bullying is great character building (not my opinion and cannot confirm nor deny whether or not this is true). library ladies are great, if your child complains about them then they need to learn some respect.
I hated attending this school and I am so glad I left. I still remember this Karen of a teacher once lost her temper at me and shouted at my face. She says to me good morning behind me as I walk my way to class and I say good morning back. She's probably reaching late her late 70s and has hearing loss so she didn't hear me. Immediately she shouts at my face all offended and wouldn't listen to a word I said. This is unacceptable, the teachers here really need to vent their anger elsewhere and not on students just minding their own business. And this teacher I know was hated by everyone one of the students.
I attended this college in the years 1979 till 1983. I retain many fond memories of teachers who found to be a great influence on me. Their attitude towards great teaching ethics proved positive students all were treated fairly and encouraged in all activities to excel. Yeah they were quite strict this was for best interest. I loved it here and I'm sure others must have experienced similar effect.it was called cooparoo high school. I was proud to say I attended here, even today now I'm 51 yrs old .
Still remember my first day got shouted at by some old white itch Karen when I just walked through the door for not having a tucked in shirt (even though it was my first day and I just got there). Proceeded to turn around not without saying something back and went home never looked backed. Actually thankful for it Dodged a bullet and can’t imagine abuse and other teachers to deal with in there. Probably wouldn’t have finished my secondary education luckily I did perfectly fine somewhere else.
Both of boys are at Coorparoo Secondary College. Honestly, the school is great and safe, and what I respect and feel very much confident of is that they are always developing and evolving their way of running the school. No place is perfect but at least they are trying to be. Just wish if they could hold more activities at different levels, undergraduate fair (whether job career mapping or educational one), to lay a spot on the road to their students
Coorparoo is a work in progress it has a caring and experienced staff and a progressive principle that is working very hard to improve both learning outcomes and the schools reputation. This school has lots going for it and I think with some redevelopment and a little more funding could be a great place to learn.
I've heard several negative comments about the school, but personally I have been through grade 8-12 and now graduated and studying at uni thanks to all the support from peers but mostly they're caring teachers. They have great number of kind staff that is willing to help you at anytime :)
This school does not care about the safety and well-being of its students. Despite raising the alarm several times about a situation involving one of their students, I have been ignored, disrespected and stonewalled. I only gave one star as half a star is not an option.
If you looking for a school that thinks outside the box. and is interested in their students this is the place to be. Both deputy's principles are fantastic and invested in their students. and Staff is amazing
I taught Yr. 8 Art, and commercial subjects (typing, shorthand, bookkeeping) at Coorparoo for two years 1979-1980, with Ces Rebetzke, Helen Barrett, and Irene Luxton. It was a wonderful two years!!
Can't even go to the toilet cause it's full of kids vaping and one of the doors is missing. How do you not notice someone steal a door the same size as most of their students
CSC doesn't deserve any stars. Out of ALL the staff at Coorparoo Secondary College, the Vice Principal is the only person who isn't a bully. Principal included.
Recently attended the school open day and have contacted the school more than six times trying to enrol my child and nobody will return my calls.
worst school of all time. bad food, bad teachers, not in the 100. bad students, education. they make us do thing without any reasons. 0.1 star
I went here when it was Coorparoo high and finished in 1993! Went for a walk around the grounds today. Still familiar but oh so different!!
the school is good but really locking the bath rom doors tisk but hay there are the good but there are the bad and the confusing.
If you want to see fights for free this is the place to be. Whites vs. blacks, asians vs. arabs. Everything goes at Coop!
theres a group of cosplayers who talk bad about the school all the time, honestly they ruin the school
My child has special needs and admin and teachers have been empathetic, supportive and proactive
