"We love coming here for a sweet treat! The service is always exceptional, very friendly and welcoming"
"Everything is mediocre at best or just bad, and even more insulting is the price"
"This cafe shop is nice and peaceful"
"A very nice and cosy atmosphere bakery cafe"
"Sorry I have nothing nice to say about the plain harupan… i was really looking forward to it but when I cut it open, it was clearly over-proofed and the texture was like a rough scone"
We love coming here for a sweet treat! The service is always exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. The almond chocolate croissant is the best I’ve had! We have tried a lot of other pastries, savoury and sweet and have enjoyed each one. The coffee and matcha are also amazing! Thanks ladies :)
Everything is mediocre at best or just bad, and even more insulting is the price. Extremely overpriced as the previous reviewer said. The best bakeries of Melbourne aren't charging these prices so why do these guys feel it's okay when they are no where near as good? Never ever coming back.
This cafe shop is nice and peaceful. Their service is good and workers are very polite. The shop got a variety of sweet pastry/bread and cake. The cake is a little bit too sweet for me but the pastries are really good. Their coffee and matcha are some of the best out there.
A very nice and cosy atmosphere bakery cafe. They have Taiwanese style of loaf bread, bread rolls and pastries. I tried the garlic loaf and was tasty. A good place to catch up with friends for a coffee with treats. Friendly staff and efficient. Will definitely come again.
Sorry I have nothing nice to say about the plain harupan… i was really looking forward to it but when I cut it open, it was clearly over-proofed and the texture was like a rough scone. Taste was also unpleasant. It really shouldn’t have been on the shelf for sale …
I really enjoy the coffee here and the fast service. The pastries, especially the cinnamon scroll .. are delicious with a good mixture of sweet and savoury. I always feel that they are friendly but not as welcoming as you’d expect. Still, I will continue to visit ….
Great coffee, amazing bread, and top-notch service! This bakery is a hidden gem. The coffee is rich and aromatic, and the bread is freshly baked to perfection. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit a delightful experience
You can tell the owners/staff here love what they do. They are always excited to have you try new products and everything I've tried has been more delicious than the last. The spelt sourdough and cinnamon rolls are particularly amazing though!
Freshly made pastry every day! Looking for a healthy and light bakery? Here's where you should try. They bake the signiture HARU Pans (Asian style soft toast) every morning and serve the yummy bread whether you wanna dine in or takeaway in
Easily one of the most interesting bakeries around, with a great selection of Japanese and Western style bread. They do the classics like sourdough and baguettes really well, but are also very experimental with new flavours like dark brown
The bread here are very sweet, even the savoury ones. The red bean bun was alright. Garlic cream bun was like eating a garlic flavoured donut. The sausage bun was sweet too. I have no idea where they bought their sausage cause it did not
Last year, my eldest had to wait for me to pick her up and was allowed to wait in Haru Bakery even though it was closing time. My family hasn't been able to visit until today and we could enjoy the melon bread, butter roll, ham & cheese
I had a black coffee and a red bean paste bun. This bakery while having a modern Australian look, had pastries and treats very reminiscent of a Japanese bakery. I was delighted to see Japanese style cakes, Motchi and almond croissants
Not a fan of the cold cream cheese bun, but their shokupan loaf is awesome ordered a chestnut loaf and they are real cheatnut pieces inside. One loaf cost $9.50 and cut into 4-5 thick slices. Great taste & reasonably priced. …
One of the best cafe in the location. Service and attitude can be described as exceptional and outstanding. Staffs are attentive, courteous, and dedicated to ensuring a superb dining experience
Delicious and healthy. Very warm staff and big size cakes. We ordered a very generous size almond cake and it is the best we've tried so far in Melbourne. Nice atmosphere as well. Great bakery.
The bread and pastries are nice but it's unfortunately overpriced to me. It cost just under $21 for two items - an almond croissant (pictured) and a coffee shokupan.
What a gem! This modern bakery is bright and welcoming. The Japanese bread is a must try. They have excellent coffee and are always introducing new bakery items.
Popped in for a coffee largely due to the story of the two founders. Korean and Taiwanese who met in English language school. It’s what makes Australia great.
I went so many times, and every time I went just got even more disappointed. The first two three time,it was perfect experience. But after that, everytime we
Lovely bakery store, their sweet potato loaf and chestnut loaf are sooooo good, very soft and fluffy. Also bought some other breads, all looked very yummy!
We picked up the best honey cake from Haru. We can taste they use the best ingredients to make it. Such a cute establishment with very friendly owners!
Lovely little bakery making fresh bread in-store. They sell cute cards too. Nice place to have a coffee and pastry The lady is friendly too :) …
Fresh Shokupan and other varieties of bread. Loved the egg crossiant. The mochi was disappointing. I would go back to try the other items.
Good patisserie supplied with mouth watering pastry. Best place to catch up with friends. Lunch with baked rice set is just beautiful :)
If you have to buy anything to reheat, it means it’s stale It’s been in the cabinet too long was so disappointed when I bought it home
Very cute little bakery. Friendly staff, yummy treats and good coffee ❤️ definitely worth a visit …
Top quality pastries and really friendly service. Love coming here. Try the caneles!
