Harvey Norman Highpoint is by far the worst store to shop at from start to finish. It actually deserves a zero star rating but sadly in order to place this review I’m forced to give a 1 star which is not even worthy of. I did not experience one thing that was positive. As I enter the store I’m immediately approached by Michael who didn’t even give me any opportunity to speak and was wanting to reserve the washing machine and have me buy it, I’m wanting to look at I have not even made my mind up and wanted to see the washing machine in person. Then he finally listens and gives me an opportunity to speak and takes me over to the washing machine he then left to go and serve another customer where I had a questions regarding the washing machine another worker Fares comes to support and answer my questions. Michael then comes back and the 2 workers are out loud arguing because he stepped in to help me or In Michael eyes a sale got stolen away from him. I was then harassed by Michael and he physically put his hands on me pulling me away from the other worker to stop him from helping me. First of all he has zero customer service skills and no team moral working collaboratively together. Where is his work ethics?? Where is his respect for his collages and customers ??? His physically harassing a Muslim woman might I add placing his hands over me and completely pulling me away from him. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with the customer service and outraged that his invaded my privacy and personal space. He has no right to put his hands on a Muslim woman or any individual regardless of there religion or race. I then was in complete shock and did not want to buy anything from this store at this point Fares then supported me with the rest of the sale. I then requested to speak to the manager as I am still outraged and in complete shock and anger regarding this matter. The manager then said he would speak to Michael weather he did or not I wouldn’t know but Harvey Norman highpoint store definitely need to provide there staff with more customer service training as they have zero customer service skills. I was then told the washing machine would come within a week time. 1 weeks gone by still have not received anything I call as we’ve entered into the 2nd week of waiting I then get told by the person over the phone that the washing machine is not in stock! Why would I purchase something that’s not in stock and I am in urgent need of a washing machine ? Again zero knowledge with customer service skills. I then get passed onto a manager then tells me a set date for delivery was never placed in. That is just the cherry on top of the cake for me. Moral of this review, I will not be shopping here ever again nor will my friends and family after the horrific, disgusting experience I had to witness and be involved. The worst shopping experience ever ! You should be ashamed of yourselves absolutely no pride, invading peoples personal space and zero customer service skills.

Absolutely shocking delivery and purchase experience. I purchased a washing machine, display fridge and tv from Harvey Norman Maribyrnong one month ago. They were all supposed to be delivered and installed on the one day. However, it's taken five visits from random contractors who have no clue what they are doing, who come without the right tools and who have even tried to screw on screws using a Stanley knife. On the delivery day, they told me they had accidentally given my tv to someone else and were trying to locate another one, instead of it arriving at 11am, it came at 6pm. The fridge that they sent me was missing a general screw which meant that they didn't do plumbing. The washing machine they just dropped off and didn't bother to do the plumbing. The tradies told us to buy another a converter for a 1/2 to 1/4 pipe because it was required. We ordered one and paid for express shipping as Harvey Norman said they would send the contractors out again in two days. However nobody showed up after two days. We called again and notified the Harvey Norman store about the issue and they said that we'll receive a text and someone will come in 1 business day. Another two days later nobody came so we went in person to the store. The man at the store booked in another time for tradies to come install the fridge and washing machine as we had prepaid for the plumbing. The next time that the tradies came, they just told us that the fridge was missing a water filter and that we would have to go back to the store to get one and they didn't even use the part that we had bought which the other tradies told us was necessary. Then they proceeded to install the washing machine screws with a Stanley knife because they didn't have a flathead screwdriver. After collecting the water filter from the store that same day, we thought we're better off just installing it ourselves rather than wait another two business days for another two tradies who don't know what they're doing to come. This week the washing machine water wasn't going down and guess what when we called Harvey Norman I was told I'll receive another text with another day and time and another three hour window. The tradies came to fix the machine today and again didn't have a flathead screwdriver and proceeded to use their car keys and a scissor to undo the screw on the pipe. When that didn't work they called their 'manager' who then told them to tell me to call a plumber cause they don't do plumbing - I told them that we specifically paid extra for the plumbing installation service and that it wasn't done correctly the first time because the guys didn't even bring any tools. Still waiting on them to fix this after now 5 visits to the house water has been stuck in the machine and they are saying it's basically not their problem. Such a disaster. Do not recommend.

The products were as expected but the service was not. After several issues with incompetent installation of a washing machine that finally got resolved however it cost me more time and money. I was reasonable through the experience but sent in a complaint and request for response but this has since been ignored for weeks. No matter who you try to speak to they keep referring you back to to store that ignore you. Important to note … the installers for washing machines are not Trade Professionals as the website states. I had a Neff oven installed by HN a few years ago and these were trades people so I assumed the same for the install of my washing machine. This was not the case. In fact they were a delivery company so I would suggest paying a tradesperson to install. The delivery company do not drill any access holes, provide necessary parts such as o- rings etc as it’s not part of the contract with HN, where a trades person will. My laundry flooded after the Harvey Norman installer came due to incorrect and incompetent installation, thankfully I was home so there was no damage to floorboards or the apartment below me. It took 3 attempts to have it installed correctly. I have another $5k to spend on furniture for my home and now it definitely won’t be with Harvey Norman. Very very disappointing experience.

After my experience today, I’ve realise that Customer Service is not dead in Australia. Bronwyn B, what a gun! Talk about knowing how to handle a customer. She was so incredibly helpful. I had to purchase multiple items for a house on short notice. She sat there, and went through exactly what I needed and help me through every step of the way. She was conscious of my budget And help me style what I needed. I will be going back there to see her when I organise my next room in the house. Once I was finished with her, she then introduced me to each of her other sales colleagues in the various areas, including appliances and rugs. This made the entire experience easy end to end as I made my way through the large store. For five star service, go, see Bronwyn in bedding. Her colleagues, Sally and Raf were equally as helpful. On Saturday I was served by Leesa at HN Maribyrnong, who helped me purchase a dining room table I have been thinking about buying for quite a while! Such a honest, friendly, and down to earth sales woman with outstanding customer service! When finalising the invoice that afternoon, realised there was a mistake on the invoice (we were chatting away- my fault for distracting!) called me right away and apologised and changed it to reflect the discount!! Leesa, your honesty is much appreciated as not everyone would have done what you did- thank you! I had such a great experience I ended up going back to see her the next day to purchase the tv unit and coffee table to match! Oh and she even dug up the stains to the chairs to show me and make sure they match the table!! Bought quite a lot of stuff over the years at Harvey Norman. Well laid out store with pretty much everything you need to fit out an entire house and office. Definetly check your prices online, they will negotiate to get the sale. Really great selection of items that are mostly well displayed and in some cases able to be tested. Prices on some items were confusing as items nearly always have clear price labels on them, and then another set of labels with usually cheaper/special etc prices displayed on the back panel of the displays. Trying to figure out which label/price belongs to which item especially when they have similar names was tiring. Staff were friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable about products I asked about. Only hassle was we seemed to be almost pestered by sales staff no matter where we were in the store asking us if we needed help, on average every couple of minutes. This really gets annoying after a while.

Very poor customer service provided by a photo shop male staff on Sunday visit, no respect to customers, very rude attitude, looking at the machine while advising the price to us with his back facing to us, I was wondering if he was talking to a machine or to us ?, after photos came out from the machine, he just quickly puts them in an envelope and slightly throw it on the bench without a word, then he went to the register without a word, so we hang over $100, he just looks at it, again took the money without a word, gave change without a word, I think he needs to reconsider that he is dealing with human, not machinery, he needs to understand what are the customer etiquette. Hope Harvey Norman management provides better training to their staff to be friendly with customers.

The MOST Unprofessional delivery service that I have ever experienced!!!!!!! I made full payment of over 10k the second I placed the order and the order was supposed to deliver on the scheduled day. I have waited till 2pm but no call nor message received so I followed up with a phone call and was given a promise that the products would 100% be delivered which NEVER HAPPENED. Then I followed up later who apologized and said would give me a buzz to confirm redelivery time. Still no one from the store followed up and I have to call back again to check what’s going on! Let’s see if I can get the products this time. BTW I still haven’t received the email to confirm the rescheduled delivery time.

We purchased a fridge and a washing machine. The entire purchasing experience has been amazing. Anthony in store was very experienced and super lovely to speak with. He made sure we are happy with the purchase and secured a good deal. Ali was amazing with the delivery as well. He was polite, careful, professional and made sure our fridge and washing machine gets into the house safe and sound. They kept us informed throughout the delivery and installation. They even hooked everything up and removed all the rubbish too!!! Anthony and Ali services were second to none, Gold standard for any appliances purchase experience, definitely would recommend.

The icing on the cake was our delivery for a tricky situation. Be careful of their refund policy, no refund from change of mind, even without a notice before we make the payment. We bought the laptop $1299 in store, which is $200 expensive than the same product in the other shops when we check later. Copy their REFUND POLICY as below. "Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or simply found the goods cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order." We will never go back to Harvey Norman again.

Just recently purchased a hisense 8kg front loading washing machine couldn't be happier with it, more importantly to me was the quality of service I received from Michael,friendly polite and totally professional, answered all my questions with a great deal of knowledge and understanding. Also big thanks to ALI AND JAMES for delivering my purchase so friendly and at the same time totally professional kept me fully informed with updates sms and phone calls, got delivery within 3min of the time quoted would highly recommend Michael in store also Ali and James (delivering) in such a professional manner.

We recently purchase a lounge sofa set from this store consisting of two 3 seater sofas and 1 chair. The set costs me over $3900. One of the 3 seater sofa was wobbly and not sitting flat. I first thought it was my floor issue but it turned out to be the sofa itself. I complained about it to the store. Their resolution which came from someone by the name of Emanuel was and I quote “Go to Bunnings and buy some pads to adjust the level”!!! Pathetic and disgusting response. So after paying close to 4K you meant to do some repair on your new sofa. I don’t recommend buying furniture from this store

Just got our washing machine installed by amazing guys Ali and Dean. We moved from England just last night and had ordered the washing machine without actually checking the laundry room size. When today morning Ali and Dean came to install they saw that washing machine is slightly bigger that the laundry room. Ali quickly did a quick think of lifting the machine and safely lowered it into small space. They both lifted the heavy machine and safely lowered it. And now it's in working order. Just brilliant service, friendly guys and super quick. ...I think 5 star is not enough.

Absolutely woeful! Ordered a bed for my daughter with pick up from warehouse, when following up no one could tell me if the bed was ready for pick up, once they did, I was given the wrong item and only found out when assembling it. When organising a replacement they didn't return my calls after multiple attempts to find the right parts but asked that I drive back to the store as the rights parts should be there. Given that I live 50 km away and ended driving 200 km because of their mistakes. Not buying anything from their again.

We just had our recliner couch delivered by Ali and Sammy and both were very professional and friendly. They were both very careful in bringing in the pieces (it all clicks into one) into the house and ensured it was all put in place correctly. We even asked them if they didn’t mind moving an old couch into another room to make way for the new one and it was moved without any hesitation or issue- for that we’re really thankful! Thank you both, Ali and Sammy for the incredible service you both delivered today!

Someone should train Farhan how to do his job. I dont work at Harvey Norman but I dont think the training module suggests staff to tell customers 'if your pockets dont allow it then maybe you should go to a cheaper store'. Racist much? Pretty bold of an average sales rep to be assuming someone's financial status. We bought a few things from here over the weekend but I heard of this behaviour towards my mum after I had shopped. If I knew earlier, I would've never bought anything from there.

Today I visited this Harvey Norman store as I was needing a new split system air conditioning unit. The store itself is huge and very well set out. It is clean and well organised. I was assisted by Darren who helped me with my purchase. Darren was extremely professional, kind and welcoming. He also had a wealth of knowledge in this area of the business. Had my fridge and tv delivered by Ali and his partner. I have never come across any delivery guys so professional and polite before. When they arrived we were greeted with excellent customer service. They then handled the goods with absolute care and happily moved it to the locations i requested. They unloaded promptly but never made me feel like they were just in a rush to dump and go like normal delivery guys do. Absolute top blokes.

Massive thank you to Kostyn (the kiwi) helped me out with a few new TV’s and a sound bar. The sound bar was the only thing I had to wait for. After a few weeks it was in. Ali - delivered our fridge for us and was very professional, complimentary and understanding. Unfortunately it wasn’t told to him from the beginning that there were stairs in our home but he was able to make it work and they delivered our fridge safely with no damage to my property or to the product. Very happy with the level of service. Will be recommending and will be happy to receive a harvey normal delivery again!

I recently had a terrible experience with Harvey Norman. Despite being told the delivery for a $1500 bed frame would take a maximum of 4 weeks, when I followed up after that period, they provided conflicting information. Now, after 4 weeks, they are unable to deliver and are refusing a refund. It's frustrating. Also, the pricing seems overpriced for anything you want to buy. I am never buying anything from them.

Surprisingly great experience, and deals!! Despite the general negativity about the brand, we had a very good experience here, proving that it is the staff that make the difference in customer experience. The staff here were very helpful, the store surprisingly has an excellent availability of electronics compared to similar other Retail chains. Highly recommended for the super staff here!

Overall-super positive and convenient experience! Their home/appliance salesman Darren, gave me THE BEST service, it was so much more convenient than buying online! And he gave me an awesome discount on an incredible new coffee machine. The warehouse staff assisted and loaded the machine straight into my car afterwards, so convenient! And Hazel at the checkout was lovely and informative!

Purchase a dishwasher 2 years ago and a fridge 2 days ago. Both delivered by Aaron and Hamza from BB Transport. You can tell, no matter how big or small a sale is, he will deliver great service with a friendly attitude. Much appreciating his time! I'm actually enjoying cleaning with my new little MACHINE of a vacuum.

Outstanding customer service from David and Ricky. They went great lengths to get my wall mounted faucet which was on back order. David even called me on his weekend day off to update on the order. Ricky coordinated the faucet delivery date. I am so thankful for their great service and really appreciate the gesture.

Dealt with Winston at harvey norman and Ali and a colleague came and delivered and installed my washer and dryer. Never had a more seamless transaction. The guys even managed to come earlier than expected. Courteous and respectable. It's all it takes to have a repeat customer. I'll be back

Service was mediocre at best. Staff could be more helpful. Sent a JBL soundbar that was purchased online for repair and have not received a word from them yet since and it's been more than a month. They even hesitated to accept the unit just because the unit didn't come from their branch.

Vincent, Brad and Solomona just dropped our new fridge off - they even moved our old one into the garage and had to take the front door off and on again just to get the fridge in - it was no issue for them and all round a really easy and pleasant experience, I recommend these guys 10/10
