Had the BEST customer service experience at the Kmart Broadmeadows branch in August 2022. Was sent to the store with (what I thought) was a short and simple shopping list for a few children's items for someone who was unable to shop in-store personally themselves (they had COVID). I approached the staff on the floor and asked if a team member was available to assist me find the items. Melissa Collaco was the person who as kindly re-directed to help me with personal shopping. However, when I messaged the lady I was helping (who was housebound with COVID), she kept replying with additional items that were NOT on the original list! Melissa and I obligingly hunted down the new requests and had to discuss out-of-stock options, like-for-like comparisons, alternative colourways, etc. Every time Melissa and I confirmed an item and thought 'this is the final one on the list!', the COVID person replied with yet MORE items to purchase! Long story short, after an hour+ in the store I finally went to pay for the items and exit the store. Before I left though, I tried (unsuccessfully) to 'gift/give' Melissa a pre-paid gift card (that was originally intended for myself as a way of thanks from the COVID person). Multiple staff members I asked politely (and correctly) declined to accept the gift card (as per staff policy) and directed me to post a Google review so head office can decide how to best recognise and reward Melissa Collaco for a truly outstanding customer service experience. Many thanks to her can-do attitude and helpful assistance!

Hello, I’d just like to inform you that me and a couple of my friends were at Broadmeadows kmart trying to have a good time right. My friend tried using the pool floaty to see if it was worth buying. Not sure who it was but i’m pretty sure it was the manager, she kicked us out within a minute and it ruined our whole experience. We were devastated and as we were getting kicked out. She told us to go to another shop and be naughty, that is bad influencing on the younger people in life. I’m speaking as of my rights and i’m letting you know as one of your customers that i do not feel safe around that lady. Have a great day and i hope you make a few changes. Also another thing, I was at the store a week ago and the same lady was yelling for us to get out. Speaking of my rights again. In that position i did not feel safe. I intact felt very threatened, I felt as if if i had spoken up for myself i would be sat down . we didn’t have a great time and again, i’m hoping you make more changes in the future to keep the soviet safe and happy. My experience today left me leaving everything i was about to pay for and walk off. Very lucky its Ramadan or else my response wouldve been completely different. My son was standing on the register area and i was told off i understand he shouldnt have been up there but there is a manner of speaking to someone,then she stood next to me saying ok keep going keep scanning i turned and said I Know what im doing ive clearly done this before ,she was extremely rude and responded really? Everyone in the store had their eyes on us. Now if my manner had permitted i wouldve had many other things to say instead i chose to walk off. Customer service is everything. Dont mean to be rude but if youre too old to be working or hate your job please do everyone a favour and stay home or find something that you love as you ruin the experience for everyone. Im a mother of 3 and really dont need to face this attitude. Either respect yourself,your job and people around you or stay indoors the world doesnt need anymore negativity.

Most horrible Kmart IV ever come across and Kmart has always been the place I shop most but ever since they mistreated myself and my disabled son IV never been back and that was the place my son and I went outing to every Thursday night....now that's not happening anymore my son won't walk back in there because they humiliated him in front if everyone accusing him of stealing wen his pockets were only filled with papers that he picked up a thing he does every where he goes the ppl at Kmart should of known him by then we went there for 2,years.....I cannot get over the way they treated us in front of everyone .....I had to just walk off leaving all our belongings behind coz my son was so worked up full of anxiety and was going to lash out on everyone including myself .....once wen were in my car my son seizures multiple times from the stress these security bought on to my son....if my son could talk I believe he would of had alot to tell these guys thanks for ruining s only night out U shud b ashamed

My review relates to the Photo Lab at Kmart Broadmeadows. Firstly, there are two single printed notices up advising customers to pay for their orders, else they won’t be printed. However, nothing on the self-serve touchscreens or printed order receipts alerts one to this fact, only stating “Instant” or “Next Day” service. Your mobile number is recorded, but no reminder is sent to pay or pick up your order. A week later when I enquire if my mug order is ready, I’m then informed I have to pay and it will be ready to pick up next day. When I return, my photos are printed, but the mug order has been lost, so I have to do it again. I’m told to return in 15 mins. When I come back, the mug has been printed with two labels, one mine, and overlaid by another customer’s Happy Eid label. A very lovely and apologetic young lady offers to print it again immediately. Which is appreciated. Third time lucky? Not good enough, Kmart.

Doesn't even deserve a star but unfortunately thats not an option for reviews. Not even worth shopping at this place. Doesn't deserve to even be open. Clearly staff don't care about you since I've looked at all the reviews saying staff are nasty. They don't even pick up the phone, I had been waiting for 8 minutes but it shouldn't take that long for you all to get up and walk to pick up a phone. To the staff who work here get your stuff organized, clean the shop up and actually become more professional in the industry. I will never understand how this shop has passed health regulations when it isn't even clean. (seen by all the photos others have posted in the reviews) I only finally got through after pressing a different number and the girl response was well nothing came through my phone, that shouldn't be the case your are a store that should help one another out.

Hi I was at the Broadmeadows Vic store yesterday since my refund had not gone through for the items I returned five days ago. I was talking to the lovely girl at the customer service desk ( unfortunately didn’t get her name) who was very helpful and did everything to help me. She spoke to Assam the guy that I saw when I returned the items and she also spoke to the manager on duty Melissa. Melissa was very attentive and took ownership of the issue and reassured me that she will speak to the relevant area the next day and get back to me. She not only got back to me but has also rectified the issue and got my refund sorted out. What an absolutely great service by Melissa and her team. A huge thanks to Melissa, the lovely girl at the c/s desk and Assam. I’m a very happy customer and will continue to shop with you!! Anji x

I want to share with you and write about my experience today at Kmart, me and my Mum went to Kmart today and two men working there asked us about vaccine certificate to let us enter which is fair enough and I showed them our certifies that's not the problem, the problem is on our way out I noticed women with three children entering and the same men didn't ask them about the vaccine certificate at that moment I asked them why you didn't stop her and ask her about her vaccine certificate and you asked me? They said to me” we are free we do what we want to do if you are not happy don't come here again “. I left that place with a big chock, I want any responsible reading my review to respond to my request which is please stop employ unprofessional workers, please this kind of employees shouldn't be there.

Friendly staff, but better product knowledge is required. Sells an array of merchandise at seemingly average prices. The choice of Lego type toys was limited. Low priced clothing available, quality accordingly. Staffing level low, helpful when available. First visit was in December 2020 before Xmas. Return visit about 6 weeks later, early February 21, turned out disappointing. Looking again for Lego toys there was even less choice available than during first visit. Afterpay in- store, which had been an incentive for me at previous visit, has been abolished meanwhile, only accessible for on-line or gift vouchers. No purchase by me. And I won't be returning there for toys ever again. KMART need to learn how to attract customers with incentives, even prices didn't appear specially competitive or cheap.

I came in the store 10 minutes before it was supposed to close, to get one specific item. As I was going to the register, one of the workers approached me angrily and told me that they announced the store closing 4 times. I said I didn’t hear the announcements and she aggressively snatched the items off my hand, and dropped my phone while doing so. When I told her to calm down she said, “No it’s not my fault, you dropped it it’s your fault”. This was also witnessed by 3 employees and a security guard. This happened next to the register near the entry (would be seen by security cameras 1 Feb, 8:07pm). She could have told me calmly once. Totally nasty and rude behaviour to a customer. I was lucky enough to not have been beaten by her :).

I went here on Monday, (12-02-2018) to buy some clothes. This Kmart isn't too bad, everything is there (albeit at times slightly disorganised but that's often not the staff's fault). The store is pretty clean and bright as well. The clothes, they are cheap and you get what you pay for. That goes for nearly everything that is sold at Kmart. Also a lot of stuff is homebrand but branded products can be found. As for the staff, I didn't interact with many so I have little to offer in this regard unfortunately. The lines at the register can get long but they do put extra people at the registers when this happens so you never have to wait too long. Overall, I'm happy with my experience at shopping at the Broadmeadows Central Kmart.

This place has the absolute worst customer service i have ever seen, doesn't matter how busy it is they literally refuse to serve you and get angry if you need help. Every single worker is so rude and incompetent they make you feel uncomfortable being there. After waiting for 20 minutes because there self serve only had half the machines working and they refused to serve, I could overhear a young girl complaining so loudly that she has to count a till by hand, what else do you guys do? Don't serve, don't help, all your stock looks like it's been thrown at a wall and nothing is ever priced correct or in the right spot, absolutely disgusting store with disgusting service

Go to kmart broadmeadows and get ripped off the staff are not honest -went to buy a photo album it said 6 dollars on the sticker and at the register it say 10 dollars when l queried it the girl went and checked it and came back and said it was 10 dollars so l went back with her because I knew I was right and the albums were all stacked in the 10 dollar racks and the yellow stickers saying 6 dollars were gone i said where's the yellow stickers she said there was none i told her i know what i saw and she said you must be wrong i know she took them off so kmart staff can't be trusted when it comes to the customers always right -l'll shop in big W from now on

Entering and exiting the store customer service was very welcoming. Upon browsing it was clear that kids or lazy people had picked clothes up and put them in the wrong places multiple times. Very hard to enjoy a browse with unsupervised kids running around as if it was an arcade rather then a store. To top it off had to wait over 10 minutes at a self serve to get security tags removed from one piece of clothing while a may I mentioned a very rude staff member continued to stand in the corner and ignore the fact that multiple people required service. After waiting to be served the worker continued to serve in a rude manner. Definetly unimpressed

It is with regret that I feel compelled to write this, but feel very disappointed that some 48 hours after placing an online order, I still haven't heard anything from the store, regarding collection of my goods. What makes it more disappointing is that I visited the store after 24 hours to enquire if my order was actually ready, only to be told "orders are picked at night and would seem they have overlooked your order" Upon going into the store, the items I had ordered were actually on the shelves, so I was somewhat confused as to why my order hadn't been satisfied and at time of writing this, there is still no communication from Kmart.

This is one of the best Kmart branches. It's well organised and very easy to find whatever you need. Some times it has Sales that other Kmart branches don't have. I noticed the difference of the prices. I like to buy toys for my kids. LEGO is one of the best thing I advise you to buy because it is cheaper than other shops. Some clothes are good quality but some of them if you wash them it well be smaller than your size. So, better to buy bigger size than usual. If you want to buy gifts for any age this shop has lots of things that could suit your needs. All in all, I like Kmart.

DON'T HAVE YOUR PHOTOS PRINTED AT KMART. My family photos were lost at Kmart Broadmeadows and my issue was handled very poorly at the staff level and also customer support level. I was told that someone has signed for them (a total stranger) and that I would have to either do my order again at the kiosk or get a refund. No further investigation has been made into who has my photos even though I have asked for this. Instead I was given a link to their terms and conditions. My issue has not been resolved. Beware that Kmart's liability only extends to replacing or refunding.

Takes so long to just get a click and collect, only one staff member doing click and collect and refund service at customer service. Althoug the line is divided, need to wait more than 20 mins and asked other staff to just help click and collect explaining that waiting is unexpectedly long and there is only one staff at customer service, however the other staff informed that it is how it is in Kmart. So I need to come back tomorrow to collect the stuffs again as I would gonna late for appointment, so left

I visited Kmart today and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the products they had in stock. They had everything from clothing and accessories to home decor and electronics. The prices were also very reasonable and competitive. The store was clean and well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The opening hours were convenient for me, as they opened at 8 am and closed at 10 pm. I would definitely recommend Kmart to anyone looking for a great shopping experience.

I'm disappointed with the current kmart stores as there is practically no auto section any more, I couldn't even get a shower curtain that I could use straight from the pkt. I had to buy rings/clips for it so I decided to go to spotlight instead. I also went looking for shoes which appears to be plenty there but there are no decent shoes for adults. All cheap and inappropriate shoes for what I need. Once again I would rather go to Rivers or Big W. Instead I went to Sketchers at DFO Essendon.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff. EVERYTIME I GO IN they treat me with absolute disrespect always ignores me when self check out needs team member assistance. I let it go first few times. Just three days prior bought a GT car, and opened it as my 4 yr old is insisting..one of the lady staff( short,) in an authoritative tone, " excuse me, u r not supposed to open" I replied " i paid for it, besides my son is insisting " She was so rude, she asked me to show the bill. Customer support is legitimately non-existent at times, you could be standing at the service desk for 20 minutes and still no one would turn up after pressing the announcement button multiple times. They've also never picked up the phone when I've called them ever. Online they have the same pack of underwear (same size too) in 2 different colours for different prices ($7 vs $15). The underwear in each pack is identical except the colour is different, Kmart's a joke.

shelves missing alot of prices. the clothes section, specifically the sales section was a mess and we can never find what we want. it took me and two other to find a pair of pants in the size we wanted. which shows how poor its managed. i havent encountered a wait longer then about a minute in the lines. and everything is cheap and everything i buy here last me seemingly forever. cant really go wrong if u dont mind searchibg for what your after.

Store is good but click and collect has turned into a big fat mess, some staff can't be bothered and try playing games...i guess it a hard time for everyone but our attitude is what makes us or breaks us. The mobile you are supposed to call for click and collect goes straight to message bank very disappointing. Kmart offers cheap homewares, clothing, toys, electronic accessories and so on. Although quality is not as good as similar retailers target and big W. They sell mainly their own branded product so you won't find most well known product names which is why prices are low. Clothing is not ideal from Kmart as material is thin and tends to stretch after a few wears. Low prices she low quality.... I'd rather go to Target honestly.

Click and collect is an absolute joke i have never seen such a unorganized process.No details on app where to pick goods up from when i arrived at my pick up time i waited over 45 mins.My goods came out in a already open box.There was over 20 cars waiting with 2 staff members bringing goods out to customers.During covid times you should certainly have more staff to accommodate the amount of orders you have .very poor

17/12/2022 16:25 The MA security guard accused me of being a thief after seeing my slides. He then tried to coerce me to show him my handbag, which he can't legally do since it was smaller than A4. He tried to call the other centre guards. He continued to harass me even after the store manager came to resolve the situation. Very unprofessional. I was very humiliated by his actions. I'll never shop there again.

Shocking customer service. I would know because I myself work in customer service, and this was nothing short of horrible. Was first served by someone who barely knew what they were talking about, who was then helped by another lady who said 'huh' loudly in my face when she failed to understand what I had said. Customer Service is a joke. We have been waiting at the Customer Service counter for 15 minutes. And staff are working behind the wall and know that there is a queue of people waiting but keep avoiding doing their job. 5 people in queue. The bell has been rung about 5 times. Absolute joke! Terrible experience with my click and collect order. I booked a time and when I got there I found that I have to wait for unknown period of time. Waited for almost half an hour but still want successful. Had to leave coz I had an appointment to attend. Very very disappointed. U guys need to improve your service and increase the number of Ur staff.

I've never been a fan of Kmart but went recently. Okay, there's alot of junk throughout the store but i quite enjoyed walking around the store. I don't like the location of the check-outs - in the middle of the store. Wonder why it's like that ? I do like the choices of check-outs. Prefer someone to do that for me and keep them employed !

Hate how all the checkouts are all in the middle of all Kmart stores. The checkout service was totally appalling taking us over 20 minutes to get through the self serve checkouts as they could not process our print out vouchers for most of this time. Totally ready to just dump our purchases at the self serve & walk out with disgust.

I have really tried to like Kmart. Prices are decent but quality is not the greatest. I have found that appliances don't last very long and the womens clothes are a bit outdated. The kitchen pots i bought fell apart in 2 months. For this particular location... helpful staff, fairly clean (except change rooms). Hope this helps

Would strongly advise to just pay the extra $10 to get your order delivered as the click and collect system is an absolute joke. They make you book in a specific time to pick up your order which means nothing because they make you wait in your car for over an hour with no indication of how long it is going to take.

People trying clothes on in the isle and then leaning the clothes their. People walking out with items saying they brought this at another store. Horrible

Kmart offers affordable home-wares, clothing, consumer electronics, accessories and some furniture.. The online shopping is a great way too to find the products easily.. However, in-store the many shelves are missing prices, some many products are misplaced.. It could use some better organizing.

Seen some staff be rude to other less trained staff members, other than that a good Kmart. I don't like the check out procedure. I think if you spend over a hundred or so in store that on check out your given a proper moment to find the docket in the mammoth of items you just bought there.

I bought so many products like candles, journals, glasses,water bottles. Most of the household things are under one roof. So it is very convenient to buy and if you do not like it after purchase, you can refund the product as well after show your receipt to the employee.

Not too good at all , average range , average prices. Limited supply of many items and unable/unwilling to help source items at stores which do have stock. Items as simple as shoes for boys frequently impossible to get two pairs of; a real nuisance shopping for twins.

Staff at the service desk today was helpful, but how come they keep only one staff member for all these people in the queue !!! Extremely under staff. Was in the que for 30 min + . That's the longest time I have to wait for a simple fix. It's very frustrating.

My visit at Kmart Broadmeadows shopping town was a little disappointing,, there was lots of empty shelves next to the checkouts,and still some Christmas items on them. This is the time to clean them up and set them ready for new merchandise.

Very rude staff. Was made to show receipt twice because instead of stopping the person who actually made the scanner go off, the worker decided to treat me like a thief, even though she had already checked my receipt and items.

Went through checkout only to discover that the security tag hasn't been taken off. Now i have to travel 30kms to get tag removed . Not happy Was wondering why the security beepers were going off when i went to other shops

Checkouts in the centre of the store with single line through mountains of garbage impulse purchases makes the purchase experience pretty terrible. Much rather Target however they're replacing most of them with Kmart's.

I was buying my daughter a new dress when I noticed a dead pigeon near the cash register. Although I think it wasn't their fault. Pigeons always fly inside. otherwise very clean

Charge 3 dollars for every click and collect order took them a day to prepare the order, and still you have to wait like 20 minutes outside in parking ! Staff is sluggish!

Bought decoration products for the birthday. It’s supposed to stick on the wall but it didn’t at all. Really disappointed at the product. The price was expensive as well.

If you're looking for a Kmart, this one is fine. It's a discount department store, and has a lot of own brand stuff, so choices in some departments are limited.

It's a stop off for cheap travel to the country, the mall says great but the district is shabby. People I met were friendly but done shady characters as well.

Got some great Clearance items for the grandkids. I like the layout and there are pretty good stick levels. Some great quality clothes that are well priced !

A big Kmart with a full range. If Kmart sells it, you should be able to find it! The sport section is extensive, which is not a feature of every Kmart

Stay away, hardly anyone wearing masks. Stock is everywhere and not organised. Workers are too busy chatting to eachother at the registers.
