First time in this store, made the mistake of entering the pay area from the wrong side, was accosted by a very aggressive staff member to leave as I was pushing in, in trying to defend myself that I had simply made a mistake and not purposefully "pushing in" she kept talking over the top of me still in a very aggressive tone, embarrassed and distressed in front of all to hear and see, I demanded to speak with her manager. I was left standing waiting at the counter as only one other couple were waiting for this same woman to serve them, and no one else besides myself also waiting for a cashier, she served them then walked away from the counter, when I asked her was she going to attend to me since no one else was waiting, she responded by "i'm not serving you because you pushed in". It would have been more appropriate to have said in the beginning, Excuse me ma'am, you've entered from the exit, could you please join the queque". I then was accosted by her "manager" also very aggressive and accusing me of "abusing" her staff and also abusing herself, when by then having been spoken to in such a manner, it was hard not to match the tone of voice, again trying to explain that I was not abusive and "excuse me, excuse me, can I just explain myself??" because this woman was also talking over the top of me and not giving me a chance to tell her that I had simply made a mistake not "pushing in" as she also was intent on telling me. By this time I was highly distressed and in tears, and asked for the store manager, who came to see what the problem was, can you imagine what was said behind my back? The second woman was intent on relaying that I was abusive, when it was the staff who were very rude. No apologies given for the state I been made to feel, felt like a criminal shoplifting when all it was I entered from the "exit" (which in all honesty I did not see) I'd been looking at the huge ring of lights displaying "pay here" - being made to feel so belittled, embarrassed and distressed, and to add insult to injury, stupid because apparently ALL stores enter the pay area from that way, she says. I beg to differ, Airport West my usual store, has entry from the opposite direction. When I pointed this out, it was then "not all stores are the same". Shame on you K Mart, treating your customers in such a rude, belligerent manner, shame on you for not having some decent good manners and using the excuse of a customer "being abusive" when the tone of voice and accusation from staff is actually very abusive and loud enough to bring attention to the customer. If I could give you a minus star, I would.

Dear Kmart management, this is a review of your store, self check out terminals and your staff. Yesterday, I went in to buy socks and T-shirts, when I approached the register a young man was standing there, supervising the area. I told him that I don’t support self check out and if he could help me and scanning and collect the payment. He said that the only way is self check out. He can’t help me. He can show how to but that’s it. Dear Kmart, this is below anything I came across. You FORCE everyone to use the self check out then check them upon departure if they have done right? I feel ripped off. When I refused to use the terminals, I gave my stuff to the young man and walked out. Upon exit two ladies were at the entry/ exit. I approached them, explained them that I won’t touch self check out and if they can help. One was nice and walked back to the register. However, Kmart. You will get more and more complaints and I hope you offer people to work for you and open register. I’m not getting paid to do your job. Self check out, it might be a good idea for people with anxiety and social awkwardness but come on. Step up and open normal cashier terminals. Where you pay people. I will keep refusing self check out!

I like shopping at this store very early in the morning and for some reason I find the staffs are very helpful and very nice. There is one staff I should mention in this review and I hope she need to change her attitude working in retail environment. Red hair, working at customer service I think her name is Rose/Rosey??? Anyway make it short, she served me twice, no smiling, no greeting, not even look at me, not even say thank you, all she said to me was.. CARD. . What she means is I need to put the card in the EFTPOS machine and put the pin in. She gave me a feeling that l, she doesn't enjoying her job, her personal life very sad and not happy, honestly she shouldn't be there to give so much negative energy to other customers. Every time I got serve by her, she ruins my day. She definitely need to have some customers training again otherwise the store might affect the RATING SERVICES.

This Kmart is nice. Most of the time the customer service is good. They have great things for cheap prices but the prices have gone up for some reason. Although, a lot of the time so much stuff especially the makeup is sold out, and I can check a price on something but then when I’m actually buying it it’s more expensive and the complete different price to what it said on the price tag. I also suggest getting more printers they are always busy with lines at each printer or some of them won’t work. Make sure the workers don’t go through the pictures I printed bc I printed some picture and this lady just went through all my photos looking at each and every one of them like Exuse me that’s invading my privacy. Ur meant to give me my photos not go through them. You know exactly who u are. Anyway I suggest going here they have some great stuff!

If you want “fantastic” customer service be sure to head down to the service desk. You’ll be greeted, actually no you won’t you’ll be stared at like your an Inconvenience ruining someone’s day by a middle aged red headed woman with fake nails ( unfortunately the employee wasn’t wearing a name tag otherwise the name and shame would’ve been my way to go as I feel other shoppers need the warning ) who will simply wait until you tell her what you need done, will do the whole thing in silence and then straight out refuse to put through further items. She’s succeeded in making my grandmother cry and ruining someone’s day, congratulations and great job love, I know who I’d be giving employee of the month. She’s left me absolutely disgusted and embarrassed on behalf of Kmart for hiring someone so genuinely nasty.

At the checkout and this old Asian or Polynesian woman was there I didn't catch her name. I asked her if I can get a discount on something since the item was damaged and she tried talking to another team member to see if there's more available when I said there wasn't. While she was talking she kept moving around and I kept following her as she ignored me. She could have asked me to stay in one spot to make it less awkward. The way she spoke was rude and as if I was a burden to her. Wasted my time and didn't get the item anyway. Apparently policies are different at each Kmart. Damaged items are to be half price like the one in Werribee and yet high point is 10%.

I left Kmart Highpoint extremely stressed. Literally not one person to assist you on the floor. Walked around continuously looking for assistance. Something that should have taken 10mins took 45 minutes plus to locate. Finally lined up at the check outs only self-serve available, which was chaos people everywhere. One person assisting people purchasing their shopping. Finally get through,only to find they have run out of shopping bag's. So disappointing. If this is the future of shopping what has the world coming to. My rating is 0 for Highpoint Kmart. Please explain Kmart. No wonder people shop on line.

Less than poor customer service. I went to Kmart Footscray to get some water bottles. As they were out of stock,they sent me to Kmart at Highpoint. I went there, looked for the bottles, no bottles. I approached a lady named Theoni ( who was on her phone) and asked about the bottles and her answer was "have you checked there?" Unbelievable! I had to explain to her about coming from another shop etc. She helped me at the end, but seemed annoying all the time and made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. They didn't have any bottles, so I wasted so much time (and energy). I'm never coming back.

Kmart - every location is the same, so there isn't much to say. Unless a special event or an incident occurs. Anyway, I ordered bath salt online, and the Click & Collect order was only available for pickup the next day around midday. I wasn't sure if this was due to a backend processing delay or simply too many orders. Click and Collect should strive to complete orders within an hour. That's the whole point of ordering online: to skip the line and get your items faster. The collection went off without a hitch.

Where has customer service gone……down hill when it comes to shopping at Kmart. No staff members to help on the floor, they make you use the self checkout registers. Only one registers with a staff member on. And then they want to look at the receipt when you leave…… Bring back the registers with staff members on near the entry/exit and this will stop the staff members treating you like a thief every time you leave a Kmart store.

5 stars due to the service by Jannina (she usually works in the fitting rooms) so fantastic! She was on front entrance and attended to us as soon as we walked in. She was so helpful and very entertaining. She went to know end of trouble to help me find enverlopes( which was tricky as I was after specific ones ) She offered suggestions on how I could make the ones work that they sold. What an asset to the team. Go Jannina !!

Just wanted to shout out why we love Kmart soo much .. I accidentally ordered the incorrect sizing on bed spreads just dropped em at the shop and the refund was done with in 30 minutes to my bank account.. Most shops can do the same but they never do, except they give you all the excuses in the world.. This is why KMART is our favourite shop ..

Wanted to try clothing on at 9.10pm was told thats not possible by manager Yasmin because they are short staffed never in my life aside from covid times have I been refused to try on clothes the service was absolutely horrible, and for such a big company i think this is a disgrace and I won't be shopping at this kmart again.

Newly opened Kmart in Highpoint shopping center near Apple store on the ground floor. Overall a good shopping experience, nice and tidy store. The staff was very helpful except for one indian lady who refused to help me bluntly as she doesn't work in that section. Most of the isles were fully stocked.

They never pick up their phones. Called for my click & Collect which was someone else item inside with my name on the parcel. Tried & tried to call but no answer. Poor customer service over the phone. Need to improve majorly on this area. (Not a rating on your store item just communication skills).

Currently in Kmart highpoint. Just strolling and an employee whose name is Shanae. Put her fingers to her head in a shape of a gun to another employee. Made me uncomfortable and looked unprofessional…. I hope something gets done about this…. Maybe if you don’t like your job you should leave :)

The red headed lady behind the service counter needs to be taught some customer service skills! She snapped at the lady before me and then snapped at me! I actually said “hi how are you?” when I approached the counter with no reply and then she just snapped her requests at me.

No one answered the phone. But, as pointed out by other reviewers, it could be a staffing issue. If the issue is with staffing, I hope the management hires more staff than asking the existing staff to do more than they should. And, if it’s otherwise, please answer the phone.

I was about to enter but then i was stopped by a worker and said that I couldn’t enter. I asked why and he didn’t explain and told me to leave, the women next to me then entered and he said that they were allowed to enter but not me. The discrimination was very obvious.

At last Kmart comes to Highpoint Shopping Centre. Offering a broad range of goods to cater for everyones needs, in a spacious, bright and big family friendly setting. Staff are very corteous and helpful, definitely a hit new addition to Highpoint Shopping Centre.

seems like a lot of staff don’t like their job, maybe they’re payed less and they seems frustrated, rude and unprofessional. A minus rating for customer service. Guys if you don’t like your job, go sit in your home, as you look trash while working there.

Wouldn't accept the pjs I tried returning because they caused me to sweat too much in my sleep. Don't buy the pjs from here if you are prone to a midnight sweat because they will burn a hole in your wallet as you will be stuck with a sweaty pj.

No one picks up their phones. I've called all departments in the store and spent ages. Terrible service. Pick up your game and teach your staff to answer phone calls or hire more staff. Not worth 1 star.... Disappointed.

Most of the lights were off and it was obvious they wanted to go home. The girl that served us was happy and helpful and they did have what we were looking for but it was under the counter.
