No matter how far away you live in Melbourne this place is definitely worth the drive, we go there once a week and every single visit just blows us away with the variety and creativity of food she comes up with. Everything is always fresh as, and unbelievably tasty. Can’t believe she makes all that food on her own, Wow the sweets all baked fresh, her salads we just can’t live without anymore, falafel would have to be the best in Melbourne, spanakopita would give any Greek a run for there money. Such a large selection of Lebanese pastries, we just don’t know what to choose when we go in. Very affordable, highly recommend it to everyone no matter where you live in Melbourne, Don’t believe me ?? Come try it for yourself and see if you don’t become a regular, what an asset to Melbourne’s culinary scene. 10/10

Wow . I am quite enthralled with the wonderful home style Lebanese breakfast I had the privilege of relishing at this quaint bakery today . It was called “ Zatar with veggies “ and was simply delicious . I was famished whilst moving home and this was real heavenly food my hungry self and my soul . The service was prompt , the cuisine delicious and the ambience nostalgic . Am really lucky to have moved home right next to this food haven . 3 cheers for this exceptional bakery with an urge to gourmet relishes to give this bakery a try soon . Was in here a while ago but i remember i was standing there being totally ignored by the woman serving behind the counter. She was busy talking and laughing with another woman while a small child pulled things from displays and put them in her mouth , had a chew or lick and then either the child or the mother put them back. The worker seen all this and did and said nothing. Infact it seemed amusing to all of them! I cant judge the coffees or cakes i came in to purchase because i ended up leaving. It seems to have high reviews,however this was my experience when visiting here.

Been dying to check this place out, when I walked passed the other day the place was packed. Grabbed a quick coffee from here today and can not wait to go back soon and have lunch, the place was filled with the most amazing pastry’s and traditional sweets. The smell of the shop is incredible. I hear the food here is really good. Pretty happy to see you can also buy other products here like lentils and pickles even shisha. Very cool. The lady who made my coffee was lovley. And the coffee is the best I have had on Edward st as of yet. Thanks nice place

We fortunately discovered Lakeside by virtue of a friend who recommended them. Since then we have become frequent visitors and can't help but keep going back. Our daughter loves their savoury pastries (as do my partner and I) so much so that we got Layla to cater for her 1st birthday party. Layla is extremely friendly and welcoming and always has time to stop for a little chat even though she is always hard at work making the goods. Love the dolmades and zatar breads too. I haven't even mentioned the baclava - amazing! Such good value.

Bought a strawberry lamington from here today. Brought it home and it seem quite stale and dry, cut the lamington in half and found the inside had mould growing in it. Took the lamington back and was given a refund but not much of an apology and was not offered a small free cake or anything for the hassle of having to make a trip all the way back to return a mouldy lamington. Would have expected a bit more than this. Pretty disgusting service. Will not be returning.

Second year in a row that we ordered food from the Lakeside Bakery for our daughter's birthday party. 12 pastries for $12 is incredible value, the food is always all gone with everyone complimenting. This year we had to order 6 dozen to keep up with the demand. Diets and ages of the participants is always considered in the mix we receive. Great variety of food on offer from the wonderful Lebanese / Brazilian owner.

Great staff always friendly and up for a chin wag, often remembering my fave dishes. Clean open cafe with simple benches outside. Lots of traditional lebanese eats sweets and savoury all fresh and made in house. Has some vegan options and many vegetarian the curry potato yum as is the Nutella baklava. Coffee decent too with cash and card accepted.

The food was absolutely delicious. The price was very reasonable & the customer service was great. The freshness & taste of the food speaks for itself. Worth the drive we are over 20 mins drive away and yesterday was the 2nd time we have been there which will now be a regular for breakfast or lunch. Outstanding customer service! And the food is to die for! Omelettes are amazing Cheese pie very generous with hallomi. Prices beyond affordable, can't reccomend enough

Layla is so friendly and accommodating! She’s like everyone’s mum and makes sure your fed properly. I’ve been coming here for years and always enjoy the friendly staff and reasonable prices. Tasty Lebanese food for lunch and frozens for dinner. Would recommend this place. :-)

Back in 2008 upto 2015 my stay at reservoir. Walking down the Edwards street to station. Only hope for my hunger was $1 zaatar and $2 lahm-bin-azin specially made by Mr.Elias...awsome hospitality... perfectly family owned business back then and i hope they are still...

Love it! The food is delicious, fresh and made on the premises. The owner and her family never fail to greet me with a smile and the service is great. I have a preference for supporting small and local business and am very happy that Lakeside Bakery is nearby.

Owner is lovely, friendly and passionate about her food. Had the Omelette with lamb and eggs plus another breakfast dish. And owner gave us a slice of vegan chocolate cake for free, amazing. I will be bringing my whole family here.

This is honestly the best Lebanese bakery in Melbourne, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff incredible aroma of Lebanese pizza, food is Authentic fresh and full of flavour. Highly recommended.

Amazing bakery and coffee! Very affordable for anyone. They have fresh, delicious pide everyday and frozen ones you can take home (frozen lasagna too, it's good). There are also desserts and soup.
