Cake l bought was really nice expensive but tasted fresh but the coffee latte l bought for $5.70 was horrible tasted like milk very weak worst coffee if you can call it that and staff please learn to smile especially the male , Greet your customers with a smile it cost nothing ! Won’t go back
I wanted to love this place. It’s cute and the food looks great. I thought I’d start with a coffee to try the place out. The coffee was really burnt. I had to dose it heavily with sweetener to take a second sip. I did mention it to the barista and all they said was ‘oh’.
Worst meat pie ever! Not only that, but I had food poisoning from eating it. It was served tepid with unappetising salad leaves. From what I could gather the pie had not been refrigerated. I would like to be refunded $14 for said pie and coffee. Please contact me.
Located inside the mall by Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, this cafe has limited seating and offers a communal table. Pastries are amazing, as are their beverages. Plates beautifully too. Staff are friendly and helpful. Def a pit-stop when I'm in Melbourne!
Came here with family and friend, we chose to sit in the common area just outside the Laurent bakery shop lot (less than 10m away). We asked the assistant manager Alex if they can bring our food to our table. The assistant manager Alex said
This is a must visit cafe for me every time I am in Melbourne. I am absolutely addicted to their French Style Apple Turnovers. But I have tried many of their other items and they are all outstanding in taste and quality. While the location
Great refurbishment and fresh produce. Extremely disappointing to have a staff member think it is acceptable to serve food without proper food hygiene in this day and age, and use her hands without gloves or utensils. I dare imagine what
Great selection and quality of food. However my takeaway order has been incorrect on a few occasions. Today I ordered a chicken pie with a side salad but got a beef pie instead. On several occasions I’ve requested a side salad with my
Just stopped for a quick lunch before the theatre. Shared a smoked salmon on rye and and egg and bacon brioche. Absolutely delicious. Very generous fillings, and obviously the best quality. Definitely will come back. Highly recommend.
Wonderful hidden little gem I stumbled on while exploring Collins Place. Couldn’t decide between danish blueberry and apple strudel, so ordered both! The pastry was light and fresh but I preferes their danish blueberry. I took the
I am a transgender woman wearing a dress earrings hair back , and a rainbow lanyard and the staff member still calls me by the wrong gender . And no apology when I correct them . What does a woman have to do ? Won’t go back ! More
Never leave any reviews no matter good or bad until this time… Really THE worst experience ever!! Ordered mushroom ciabatta during lunch time. The staff(girl warming up these) worked extremely slow. I literally waited there
I really appreciate the lady who is working on a day that I visit it. She let me in while they were closing the store. I just wanted a pain au chocolate, to try their Croissant. Plus as I heard they are famous for it.
Underwhelming service, telling people to sit inside when they have outside seating. Coffee comes spilt on the saucer and the cup is stained too. Cake looks better than it tastes and coffee was weak. Not recommended.
Terrible experience!!! Rude staff not eye contact, they rushed my order... two of the three items I ordered came wrong. A chai latte with soy milk came with caws milk and a flat white came looking like a capuchino.
So today I ordered a cheese and tomato open grill on sourdough bread with salt and pepper. I had to repeat my order over 3 times to 2 different staff. I was looking forward to my open grill with orange juice.
Laurent Bakery is a popular bakery chain in Melbourne, with several locations around the city. The Collins Place location is one of the most popular, as it's conveniently located in the heart of the CBD.
Tasteful shop. Beautiful selection of sandwiches, pastries, and sweets. It would be five stars, but both ny mushroom croque and my parter's chicken, avocado, and walnut sandwiches were served lukewarm.
Without doubt one of the rudest young women I have experienced behind the counter. How she still is employed there is beyond me. Must be related to the owner. Get rid of her and improve your business.
Incredible selection. High prices as all boutiques are, but the cost is worth it for the quality. Fresh bread available, as well as gourmet, interesting sandwiches and all sorts of dietary options.
Wonderful to stumble upon this place while exploring Collins Place. Couldn’t decide between the coffee or chocolate eclairs, so ordered both! They are both nice, but I prefer the chocolate eclair.
Ordered a latte and a mushroom toastie. Very good mushroom and bechamel sauce combination. Cheesy bread is very crispy. Morning time was very quiet and looked not busy. Latte was also good. More
Good coffee and food and mainly friendly young team BUT one very rude waitress who always seems to be working there each time we go…awful to interact with. I’d rate higher but for her.
Very average service. This cafe manages to be both incredibly slow and chaotic at the same time. The staff don’t seem to know what they’re doing and lack basic communication skills.
Two time I bought cheese tomato toastie from Laurent cafe and both were disastrous experience. First time one of the staff member was disappointed as they had to make a fresh
The desserts are delicious, I have ordered birthday cakes from here 5 times and I will continue to do so. I highly recommend buying the cakes from here, you won’t regret it.
Nice set up, good food, great coffee. Service acceptable but somehow i don't see a price list for their products. Often wonder if I'm being overcharged as it can be pricey.
Have passed Laurent Bakery many times, always meaning to have lunch there one day. Today we did, and it lived up to all expectations. Very very nice indeed.
Great cafe and the same very friendly staff who have known me for years at this location. Always enjoy the food here and the great coffee many thanks.
Very pleased to return to Laurent. Very professional service and wonderful fresh pasties. Coffees were quality too. Thanks Vince! More
Delightful and pleasant service, which is efficient and timely. Bowls of coffee for morning coffee lovers and delicious pastries.
Disappointing experience! Patiently waiting in the obvious queue at the register as the sign said to do.
Stale pastries, inattentive staff. Was really looking forward to some morning pastries but disappointed
Been coming to this place for years . Love the cakes , bread and coffee. Staff always professional.
coffee is ok, service a bit stiff, and while pastries look amazing, their taste doesn't match
Great place to grab some good sandwiches and your sweet tooth won't go unsatisfied either.
Bought coffee couple times this week. The staff is really not up to Melbourne standard
Coffee OK. But Croque Monsier was cold on the inside. Disappointed.
