This post office is a joke. So many unemployed people in this country who are eager to work, but then there is a post office full of incompetent people who don't do their jobs!!! My international parcels arrived at Marshalltown post office sometime in May this year. I never received an SMS notification to inform me. Then during the month of July, after a staff member actually decided to check what is happening with my parcels (i.e do their job) I was informed that my parcels were sent back due to non-collection. It's quite shocking to me that I have been going there every week to check for my parcels then they get sent back because of non-collection. It means this whole time these post office staff members haven't actually been checking.

Giving this Post Office 1 Star because honestly the service is horrible. I went to pick up an international package in FEB 2019 , they told me the package is not there, I called the Call center and they told me the package was sent to the Post office in on the 7th Jan 2019. I had another package which was sent on the 8th march 2019, and still have not received an sms from the Post office to collect my package, when i went there, they said the package is not there. I called the post office call centre they mentioned the package is there. Its really annoying. Today is the 03rd April 2019, still nothing.

Got an SMS from SAPO to pick up a package at Marshalltown. Went there, no package. Was told to go to PO near our address. Asked which one, and was told they didn't know. Went to the PO we thought was closest, no package and was told it was at Marshalltown. So, our package is floating somewhere in the SAPO ether. and we spent 1.5 hours and drove 15 km with nothing to show. This does not necessarily reflect on the local workers, but could be a systems failure at the national level. The other fallout is that the company I ordered from has lost my future business as they are using an unreliable service.

I would n't recommend this post office for any service. I went there to renew my license and the lady was so disrespectful. She didn't give me attention, while I was talking to her she was wearing earphones listening to music. She was busy with some papers and spoke to me in harsh tone. She insisted to speak to me is Sesotho despite me telling her I can't hear what she was saying in English and IsiZulu at the end she did not help me at all. I didn't get her name, but she was working in license renewal counter on the 25 of April 2019 around 16:45.

1 star is not low enough to rate the service. Marshalltown P.O IS RHE WORST service provider i have ever encountered in my life! I get an sms.. and when I go collect they tell me its in storage or collected already. With no proof of who collected! Where are all the parcels going???! The agents refuse to check on the system for your parcels.. they are unfriendly n not willing to help!

They take too long to send out messages when the parcels arrive and they don't want to check their system when you go inquire without having received their sms even though the post office call center had confirmed that the goods had arrived. They are incompetent. I stood there waiting to be attended to while those ladies were standing there gossiping.

I've always preferred Marshalltown for license disc renewal until recently. They have appointed a new person who is asking for documents I've never been asked for previously...she's slow, unsure and impatient...please bring the lady who assisted us previously..she was a lot more efficient.

When it comes to car license renewal this is your go to post office. Effecient service, i have never spent more than 20 minutes on the queue at this post office, and I go there every year. I have recommended it to my colleagues and they are hooked.

Do not use this post office to recieve any package useless service useless agents here and i cant believe its mature people who work here really need to get younger pips to work here maybe the service would improve.

Ive been trying to get my money they told me its onhold they r nothing doing nothing about it ,call centre number is always busy its second tym now its gives me problems i dnt know who to contact now‍♂️ …

Went there to certify my documents I was rudely returned back by a security and told me that they don't do that there. I'm not sure if this is true but their service is very bad! …

The worst post office in the history of mankind. Incompetent staff, beat up building, just disgusting. Oh and no generator. If you have a package there just start crying now.

Was there to renew my car disc! The service was super quick! The queue was moving fast ! Their disc renewal is definitely on point ! I was done within an hour ! Thumbs up

Considering how big this post office is. They seriously need to get young aged people to work here. The people working here currently is too old and slow for this job.

i went there today, the 2 ladies were very rude and harsh , and the way the lady took my document jooh post office (marshalltown ) Corner fox and Sauer street

This is my experience: I called in to have a shipment tracked. The call was answered after 2 rings and I got all info I needed. The lady was very helpful.

If there was a zero I’d give them that, the service is appalling, only 2 tellers working, it’s my 3rd attempt trying to collect a parcel with no luck.

Cannot contact Marshalltown post office on phone, I have tried many times with no success. Are they working today Tuesday at 10.00am Disgusting

Pathetic service, the person who assisted me was extremely lazy and failed to assist me.

My sassa card has been blocked since last year and they are doing nothing to assist me
