I tried to log a lost property which I needed a police report reference to show to other authority. I have waited for half hour, there was about 6-7 in the line and no one was at the reception for the time. I filled the form and returned to the constable asking her when I can receive the reference number, the person was very rude to me. She ended up saying you will receive it today via email. However it had never been done, so I filed this matter online with NSW Police lost property website as well (yup its ridiculous that VIC police does not have a website to log a lost property and yes NSW Police accepts the report that happens in VIC) , I got a response from NSW Police very quickly with the reference I wanted.

My experience with Leading Senior Constable McFarlane has been nothing short of professional and has great people and communication skills; as he is prepared to make the time to listen. It's important to give credit when credit is due ... HOWEVER, this particular station appears to also be the catchment of officers (some) with inept and poor communication skills and a poor aptitude / willingness to providing service which can only be surmised as a problem with poor supervisory or inept sergeant(s) in-charge !

I've been here several times to get documents certified and I have to say the service is terribleevery time! Recently waited nearly an hour for a 2 minute thing. Had there been communication that they were busy, or had they told me anything at all, it would have made the situation better, but I was ignored the whole time with no one around. I would expect better from a public service provider. At least have someone manning the front desk. And some common courtesy would go a long way too...

I just went in to the Bourke street police store to report an incident. There was a person being served. The attendee went out back for a seemingly long time. It appears that at 5.30 pm there is only 1 person working. Why is that please? Individuals under the influence on the 86 tram. Kids on board concerned. Who are operating all those police cars out front if only one person is serving? Very concerned citizen...()

I have no complaints. I have visited this police station more than several times & have spoken to police officers on the phone from this station where my queries were resolved promptly & with clarity. I feel that most police officers maintain a high level of integrity & that the behaviour(s) of an individual officer (whether deemed appropriate or not) should not reflect badly on their colleagues. Called them to report a theft. An offficer answered listened to the story for two minutes.. then pass it to another colleague who can write a report?! ( you couldve told me or put it to him before then?) .. then he put on hold for 3 mintues for someone?!.. then ,line got mysteriously disconnected. No body called after. No wonder city is criminals paradise...

Refused to file a report of my missing/ stolen property by saying that police can not put in their resources for such case and later saying that it's a civil case. Okay agree, but how would you explain the rude behaviour by the constable who served me? And long waiting time to be mentioned as least 10 people were waiting and only one constable was serving.

I would like to make an honourable mention to the two officers that assisted me with a very complex situation yesterday night. Their patience, compassion, kindness and quick response to act. The world needs more of this kind of thing. Thank you to Connor and Joseph. I hope your colleagues follow in your example.

from what I can see on TV this is a true fascist organization, controlled by the fascist government… I’m just surprised that the whole world is watching , and they still don’t care … shows us the mental state and level of intelligence (or better , lack of it ) of these individuals … scary

I was in the city today watching teenage kids and younger... jigging school, chanting global warming slogans, who have no idea what they are doing.... under the watchful eye of the police. Digrace.....I hope some of you police have a conscience.... This is child abuse...

Very poor document signed service. Refused to certify my documents, saying it’s over 10 pages, I said I can come in for two times for 5 pages each. She answered “NO” and insisted not to do anything for me and did not give me any other advice. And very bad attitude too.

Will only sign a stat dec outside of BH even though the station was empty. Took more time for me to be told no than it would of to sign it. A nonsensical rule made only so staff don’t have to deal with the public scum during the day. Use some common sense. Really poor.

Very unfriendly staff, I have 2 documents for my kid, she asked me to come back in an hour, for a not even 2 min job, her tone is like she made her mind like she not gonna do it .....east Melbourne contribute heaps why people don't respect police.......

Reported to them that my wallet was stolen, left my contact details; being told that the reference number will be sent to me the next day and then I never heard back from them. ( and I never received my refenrence number)

I've been here countless times to get documents certified and they have always been very friendly and helpful. Note they only do this after 6pm on weekday nights but anytime on the weekend as of the time of this review.

Cannot get a job number or information about the assault that happened to me on Friday 23rd. Const C Fidler had the assailant pointed out to him but I don't know what happened. No assistance. No help. Not happy.

They took a long time to get to the desk in order to see you in the first place (since they're not allowing you to use the intercom) but they will help you with signing documents, they just need to see proof.

Very very rude service. I reported lost property and did not get email, and could not follow up with reference number, call centre is very unfriendly and only ask me to wait, which is no helpful.

Isn't possible certify documents the night IsntI possible before 9.00am and after 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Forget the weekends. Thank you for the excellent service to the taxpayers.

Firstly I thought I'm not going to get sign, the moment I was about to give it a single star, a nice police lady appeared and signed my proof of age card. Maybe I am lucky.

General enquiry regarding an incident I witnessed.They were empathetic and supportive.I cannot say how much I respect the work these guys do...one of the hardest jobs.

Constable MATT BANKS was very friendly and professional while taking my statement and that was my first experience with Australian police. Incredibly helpful

The attitude is terribly awful. I was just asking for help on possible cyber crime. That guy appeared very impatient and shouted nothing can be done.

Beautiful clean new station. Staff are friendly and patient. Just be aware that they only sign/certify documents before 9 am or after 6 pm.

Justice of peace before 9AM and after 6 PM weekdays . Any time on weekends .Jp can be used for document certification and attestation .

They don't do certifications until after 6:00pm. If you go to a suburban police station, they do certifications whenever they are open.

I was not heard out. They don't let you express your point of view and they always interrupt you in a rude way. Left very disappointed.
