I have just made a phone call a few minutes ago, which I had encountered with a very disrespectful police uniform (a constable who had a lower-middle class Australian accent). He refused to take action in assisting me with my request and has literally advised me to tough it up. He has also told me that I should have called Moorabbin Police station instead (which in fact, was a lot nicer and more professional than them). I strongly believe that our society requires more attentive or somewhat a little more decent police officers, what happened tonight was unfortunately not how I have expected of their reply as I was after something slightly more respectful i.e. no giggles and mimicking while you are trying to say something to them. I was expecting them to at least, pay attention to what other people wish to say with respect, manners, no judgements and perhaps, more humane. I never thought education has this much effect on humanity until this experience has showed me tonight. The point I am trying to make here is that he could have helped but he managed not to. It is a matter of personal choice. I have learned something. If he treats me like a joke, means he does not at all respect his job and my question is why should he be paid? Of such what quality does this person possess?

I had my call answered without a long wait. My car's dashcam caught a collision (Xing of Princess Hgy & Warrigal Rd) and I wanted to share the 56 MB file without going through the old fashioned way of transferring the file onto to a pen drive and then handing it over at the PS. The lady who answered the call was very helpful, and she shot a few quick & sharp questions so as to understand the situation thoroughly. (I wish I had more like her in my workplace). She said she would have a link sent to me on my phone through a text message, and I can then upload the dash cam footage of the incident... I got the link within a few seconds, it was so easy. I will encourage others to share dash cam footage of incidents to help the police, insurance cos and also the parties involved in the incident (in case you are unable to stop at the site of the incident, for any reason).

The worst service ever, I was send home and told by police that his not going to waste his time signing my document , can he please let me know where else we can go and have it done , there is no where written that it is waste of your time signing documents , I"m sorry but this is your part of job and we all been told to come to you guys so please try to have some respect for others sometimes it is so important that all the documents has to be done same day other wise we are running late to send or lodge the documents and it is not our fault there its because of you guys things can not be done by time , we all are doing part of our jobs please in future try to do all requirements of your job that is why you all are paid for .Thanks

I can"t speak highly enough of the attention I was given at Reception and the caring and efficient manner of Constable Smith in dealing with my concerns. The matter was related to an incident on the Monash Freeway on Wednesday 30th May resulting in extensive damage to both my left wheels and tyres.(all needing replacement) There were numerous other vehicles which also sustained damage. I wish to thank Constabe Smith for all his actions in following this matter up so promptly and providing all the details required to pursue an Insurance Claim. His actions give me great confidence that our Police Force is doing a great job to look after our best interests. Many thanks again.

Very disappointed with the lady police officer I spoke with today 21.1 22. So unprofessional my car was stolen and recovered and it was investigated for 2 weeks and she couldnt even give me a simple report of any findings at all or couldnt tell me if someone was arrested. No wonder general public do not respect you guys because of your behaviors when we are trying to have a dialogue with any of you. All I was told is I received my damaged vehicle and therefore I dont need any more info. Is it because you cant make money out of stolen vehicles? I guess if I was speeding or driving high powered vehicle youd be so keen to chase me for the revenue.

Some cops have been helpful with my enquiries but several others just talked to me a in a condescending tone and didn't really seem interested in helping. Not too pleased with the guy who put on a full serious macho voice saying "I HAVE TO SAY, I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER _______" when he seemed to think that I was calling on behalf of a government agency, and then when I reiterated that I was an ordinary individual with a general enquiry he did a full 180 turn to being sweet and polite. That's not how you treat people. But besides that, kudos to the good ones that have treated me with respect and helped me.

Oakleigh Police Station: Mixed emotions about this office, 99.9% of the Victoria police do a remarkable and fabulous job in Customer Service, Law Enforcement and brilliant work. However, there are the .1% of Victoria police that are better off staying at home and receiving centrelink. One officer i have talked to in the past rang me back when they said they would. This was a big surprise for me. Officer Gabriel was brilliant. also officer Porter were brilliant in their approach to assisting people. Warm regards to these officer's. Cheers guys.

Very sad and disappointing that this station is severely understaffed. EVERY weekend and public holidays drag racers (using princes hwy road) constantly terrorising neighbourhood nearby Princes hwy reserves because they can't managed to arrest any of the drag racers and relies heavily with glen waverley police station staff. The Monash council couldnt care less either despite many residents reported. Seriously empathised their poor staffing condition and the neighbourhood to endure loud blasting exhaust pipe burst till wee hours.

I was brought here under arrest on the evening of 11/06/2022 and was held here until I was interviewed about an incident that occurred. The Oakleigh police station is a modern establishment that provides really good heating, is very clean, a comfortable place to rest your head and is nice and peaceful so that one can gather one's thoughts. I was treated very well and fairly and the Police members were open to my explanation of the incident and I was released straight away. Thank you for your help today. Kind regards,

We had a break in into a Mercedes c200, we placed a call to the Oakleigh police station, to report the incident, told them the car was mangled and windows broken and the interior was damaged. The Constable said they were on their way to investigate and give me a report, they never came , they never called they never investigated, obviously just not interested, i'm sure had there been an opportunity to book someone and get some money they would have been here in a flash.

Everything criminal act related became civil matter in their opinion. Someone break into your house and hurt you = civil matter. Malicious damage to my property = civil matter. I wrote a statement on a piece of paper and was reading it to the officer, somehow I was accused of changing stories (printed on the paper) while I was reading it in front of him. I think the officer might need a drug test to make sure he is not high on the job.

Very very un helpful here. Walked in to pick up an AirTag we had left behind when the customer handled it in. I went in myself to pick it up and explained it was right here and was told they could not help me. Got hold of the customer and he told me he had dropped it off at the Oakleigh police station, so I called not one time but 3 times for them be told it has not been logged into they system. WTAF

Reported late night party noise from a company garage in a residential area at 4:00 am. The officer on the phone sounded extremely uninterested and annoyed. He said they will be here soon. Waited, and called again at 4:40am. They said that they don't know when they will be here. Never showed up. Well, at least they could’ve informed me if they are not sure when or never but surely they didn't bother.

My motorcycle got stolen from my garage and I went to this police station. They never gave me a police report. I had to wait several days for a police report. I followed up on how the investigation is going and they never got back to my email. Not even sure whether an investigation is going or not. It's been 3 months and they never came to my place to gather any evidence or ask any questions.

Worst possible experience. Witnessed a man leaving our property and stealing our bike, easily identifiable. Immediately submitted a report online to ensure Vic Pol have our bikes serial number. This happened in December and the report is still in limbo as our local Oakleigh station haven't progressed to questioning. They have been called numerous times and usually just say "check gumtree"

Just went to the Police station to report a lunatic stealing property from my property. I was told by the police man on duty Robert that because I had personally retrieved the stolen property he would not be charged how ridiculous insane and idiotic is this. So everyone feel free to steal something and as long as you return it you're okay

No really helpful at all,very rude and wrong information was given to me about a matter and got me into more trouble,onw policeman made up his own rules l believed him and got into trouble. If a rule is set in concrete it should be followed abroad not someone make thwre own rules.Not good enough onw poliewoman also was so rough and rude.

Car smashed and they are handling our case. ID got stolen and cash and etc. Asked for the police report so we can prove that ID was stolen so we can get a new one. Have to call every 2 days to ask for it. I gave up after 1 month and is already one year passed, haven't got my report yet. Great. So this is Australia's police. :)

Unnecessarily disrespectful and transphobic. At a traffic stop I was referred to as a man and after informing them several times that I am not a man and that I am a transgender woman they refused to even listen and brushed it off as "well it says on your license..." train your cops in how to pretend they see people as humans.

Thay are despatched 2 oficers after four phone calls and 2 visits to get them to do something about my neaboure. Who rang the police & said I swerved in front of her when there was 250 meters of separation I was going to drive into a friends drive, but they took her side because they have a association.

Very bad experience, was detained, searched had my arms twisted behind my back and my property temporary seized because I was taking photos, not cool guys, apparently oakleigh is a place that doesn't value civil rights, 5 star tyrants in my opinion

I had an accident on the Mulgrave Freeway a couple of weeks ago. Two officers from OPS attended the scene. They were extremely helpful at the time and later when providing information for the insurance investigation. Greatly appreciated.

reception officer was not nice, and i was very in hurry no one comes out. i was waiting 30 mins. how could they know what is happened to me. at least they could say that we have to wait for some mins.. bad experience.

The hoons are racing every single weekend on Dandenong road and police turns a blind eye. If you go 5km over limit you get a fine, if you are a lowlife hoon no law applies to you!

Car window is broken under the bridge in the midnight, polices were useless because they told me they don't have surveillance camera there. They will skip the case,lol

Waited for 45 mins to get one document verified and still couldn't get it done. Was told to wait even longer as they were very busy to even spare couple of minutes.

Quiet day so no issues, met the most polite young male officer on duty at the desk. Was very helpful and made sure I left with correct information.
