We were convinced we needed two professional packers that would take max three hours to pack our kitchen. They were to arrive at 7am with the removalist would follow at 9am by which time most of the kitchen would be packed . They were also to have all packaging with them . They arrived late and one was training the other not only how to pack but also helping her with spelling ( the trainee was designated to write on all the boxes ) .English was not her native language and needed help with spelling . During their service we also discovered that they had not brought any portarobes and run out of boxes . The 3 hrs ended up being 6 hrs . The firm had also convinced me that it would be better if we were to have two trucks one 12T and one 2T and four removalists . This was to do a quick and efficent lift as we had many pot plants that could not be stacked . The trucks and removalists arrived on time . They did not seem to have anyone in charge. I was told afterwards that the first to arrive was their lead driver. Three were ok ( definitely no speed there ) . The fourth hardly did any work as he was too busy reading his messages or disapearing in different toilets or just sitting in the truck. By 1pm they had filled the big truck and decided they would not use the second truck but they would take both trucks to the storage where it was to be unloaded . They finished unloading just after 3pm . They returned to our house and decided to have their half hour break (which they are entitled to ). After they had their half hour and just before 4pm they acknowledged that they will not be able to finish the job and especially since the storage facility had to close at 4.45 pm. Two removalists arrived the next day at 7am and completed the job by 11am . The service was below average. There were many unfullfilled promises e.g. everything will be cling wrapped when they were not; hence why our expensive mattress was torn . All pillows were put in the truck as they were. Some with covers and some without covers; a most unprofessional performance; and please do not even think about talking to the manager about your issues, as you will get a barrage of accusations and threats. Needless to say the bill was higher than we anticipated . We ended up paying it, as the stress of communicating with the manager was way too much for us to handle . In short they are unprofessional and unreliable and they end up costing you much more .

Update: Responding to your reply... access to my site was not an issue they had full access to a dedicated and locked lift the entire time and i was not on site when they were unpacking at the storage facility. I wasn't aware i had to babysit someone i am PAYING to do a job. Stop trying to deflect blame on me, all i asked for was someone to come back and re-arrange the storage unit as the items are heavy and i cannot do it myself. An experienced removalist should know not to place a fridge facing a wall and then put a couch in front of it AND block the doorway with the couch. Your customer service is appalling, not to mention you accidentally sent me an email that was meant for management asking "what to do with this" like im some pest. I asked nicely, i gave you weeks and weeks to respond, Amber. Your respnse to my review is actually disgusting. Definitely suggest you "move on" to someone else. Their sales team is excellent and make it sound so seamless and easy but they sent a dud and a 19 year old kid and took 6 hours just to pack my 1bdr apartment. They then packed my storage unit absolutely ridiculously and i cannot access anything. My fridge is facing the wall so cannot open for ventilation with the couch in front and also blocking the entry so i cannot actually get in there without moving everything out. They've also chucked some of my wooden furniture on top of the couch and placed heavy boxes over boxes marked 'do not stack' not sure how much clearer i could have made that? Contact them, took them weeks to get a response after many reminders from myself and was advised whilst they acknowledge the issue, they won't be sending anyone out to re-arrange it. Thanks guys, never recommending you to anyone. Your customer service is probably worse than your packing job.

I have booked their services to move out of a 2 bedroom house. I had already taken most of my items to the new house on my own. As they work on an hourly rate I wanted to leave them as little to carry as possible. 2 beds, TV, small TV unit, 3 coffee tables, 3 chairs, egg chair, couch 2 study desks, washing machine, fridge, 3 bedside tables and a few small items. They took 6 hours to move this stuff into my new place. They had to dismantle the beds and for one of the beds they said we can't pull this apart (Ikea bed) and they said they dont have tools. I gave them a few screwdrivers and asked why they didnt have tools and they said they forgot. It took them a lot longer than they needed to. They also ended up breaking one of the beds then they went to get tools to fix the bed which I assume they did. then before they left I received an invoice to be paid. I wanted to write an email to them to discuss the issues that I had but before I could do that their office rang me and asked me to make a payment. I asked if I could discuss the issues and she said I needed to make payment immidiately before they can fix my bed. I had to make this payment for a service that was below satisfactory. I will never use them again. I emailed them and they did not even respond to my email but they were quick to call me within 15 mins of sending me the invoice for me to make a payment. I do not recommend this company or their services. I will not be using them ever again. Worst service and worst customer service ever.

(Updated) I moved a year and a half ago and gave them 5 stars before. After using this company again last month, I feel like I need to update my review, as I chose this company based on reviews. Compared to the previous move, I have nearly the same inventory, I used a bigger truck and 3 persons, and I prepared most of my stuff packed in the box to save time. Last time I paid only basic hours under $1,000 and this time I have paid 7 and half hours, over $2,000. The team was very slow and handled items not professionally. I did not complain officially about this, as it was my first home-buy move and I did not want to ruin our memory of moving into a new home. However, I could find there are similar complaints recently and I hope you read all reviews carefully. We moved 3 weeks ago, from Melbourne out to the country. The whole experience with Move on Removals was exceptional - right from calling to get a quote, to the move itself. They are very clear and concise with their pricing, and recommendations for requirements (truck size, how many men etc). They arrived on time, and went straight to work. They carefully wrapped fridges, tables, and other items to ensure that they wouldn't be damaged in transit. Riva was in charge and ensured everything was packed securely for the 2 hour drive. He was very experienced and a strong leader. They were all super careful, polite, friendly and thorough - right from start to finish. They all took a lot of care moving everything in to the new house, navigating through the front and back of the house up and down a few steps. It was such a pleasant experience, and way less stressful than we though it would be. I can't recommend this company enough - I contacted a lot of companies and obtained quotes - chose MOR due to the reviews and initial service - and very glad I did. I chose to use “Move on removals” firstly because of the amazing service from Angelica my first point of contact to help estimate the costs of the move. She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable and the reason I moved forward with them. They gave me notice the day before and the morning of to say they were on their way - Val, Jordan, Ayden and Ben were my removalists. They were very pleasant, professional, experienced, timely and cared for my belongings. I have experienced bad movers before and it is worth paying a little more for a company to wrap and pack your furniture properly to avoid breakage or damage. Donnie was also fantastic with the follow-up after the move and fantastic phone service as well. To have a business that pre/post cares for the customer is something a lot of businesses lack now. Move on Removals ~ Magnificent! We have used both top brand removal companies in the past who send out a slick salesperson, charge a fortune and then have been let down on the day. After a referral from a friend who has used Move On Removals a dozen times I was so impressed with Donnie’s friendly demeaner, Gerri and Angelique have brilliant attention to detail too ~ that we booked in without hesitation. Our packing team was headed up by Mel who has the quickest hands I’ve ever seen and highly experienced. The day of the move Ravi and team were super friendly and Ravi ran a tight ship so we were in and 80% unpacked by 5pm!!! Unheard of for a family of four. We highly recommend Move On Removals, this is a temporary move for us so we will be booking in again as soon as we buy our next home in Spring. Special thanks also to Jeremy for his follow up calls to see if we were happy- great service.

Very impressed, movers were friendly and professional, took photos of each room to ensure they took everything that was going as some items were remaining, took great care to wrap items and covered any storage tubs that I didn't have lids for or lids that didn't fit correctly. Dropped by another house where I had a few items to be picked up. Took time and care delivering furniture to the next house. Had initiative and skill in arranging my furniture in the best way possible as I was storing in a spare room while waiting for my house sale to settle and purchase a new home. So impressed that I received a call in person from the company when I made my initial email request for a quote within 30 minutes, always able to speak to a person on the phone, very friendly and helpful staff at every stage of the move. I will be using them again in the future and highly recommending them to all friends/family.

I had a good experience with Aiden, Jassar and Vail, (sorry for any misspellings!) when they moved my apartment contents to my new home. There were stairs at both ends, so it was a physically tough move, but throughout they were polite, obliging, friendly, helpful, said yes to everything I asked of them, and communicated really well with me. They were careful with my stuff, and wrapped things up to keep them safe. They were careful but not slow - I never once felt they were wasting any time, and they checked in with me frequently to make sure everything was put in the right place. One bedside table did get a bit of corner damage but I suspect it was due to getting it up the steep stairs, and nobody moves house without some small thing getting damaged. Other than that ,the whole thing went extremely smoothly, and I would be very happy to recommend Move On Removals to others.

This review is for our move in July 2021. The 4-stars are for the Moving Team only. If it was just the moving service being reviewed, I'd give five. They showed up on time and managed to get the truck into a very tight driveway, and they were quick and efficient loading and unloading. They worked safely and were very professional to the end. We also had Move On do packing for us the day before. One of the two packers was really good and packed most of the house. One was packing the kitchen and was on their phone a lot and wasn't really careful with some heavy kitchen items. We had more broken/chipped kitchen items from this move than the last three moves combined (one was interstate). I will gladly recommend Move On for moving service, but do not recommend their packing service.

Be very wary of their propaganda. They say they have insurance and will cover damage. They ripped our expensive mattress and put a hole in it . This happened while they were taking it out of the bedroom. They took photos of this and alerted their office. The mattress was stored for just over a month. Once accessed, we sent them our claim with photos. Their reply was that the claim was disallowed, as the mattress was still usable. In addition, they claimed that this decision was in accordance with consumer law . In fact it is NOT. They responded to one of our previous review by telling us to stop lying . There is only one side lying and it certainly not us . We have all the correspondence to support our claim.

Horrible experience, would not recommend at all. 5.5 hours and over $1100 to move a small 2 bedroom home 750m. Awful customer service spanning over 10 weeks from Gerri and Angelica who continuously advise they will get back to me but never do and I always have to follow up. Management will not call me to discuss and all communication has had to been done through emails. We agreed on a small amount to be refunded due to the job incurring night rates, however 10 weeks later and still no refund. They say it was refunded “weeks ago” but they have not been able to confirm the date or amount with me, nor send me the receipt of the refund even after several calls and emails requesting this.

After many bad experiences in the past with other companies, a friend recommended me to Move On Removals. I had a very last minute move and they got back to me really quickly to book it in. The lady who helped me was so lovely. Romen & Ivan showed up right on time, and got the move done in record time without any damage to my belongings. All things I've had terrible experiences with in the past. Not only were they very professional and showed my belongings with respect, they were such nice and helpful guys and made the experience very stress free! I will definitely be recommending to my friends, and will use your services in the future. Thanks again for your help!

Again we had a long 12 hour day with three trucks and four hard-working and enthusiastic movers. They arrived on time and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot highly recommend them enough! Special thanks goes to the team leader Julian. This is the 2nd time I have used Move On within 2 years and both times the teams were great and took a heavy load off our shoulders in the moves. They moved everything and we directed the traffic.Very competitive pricing as well. Win/Win!

Moving out of my studio, which I have been in for 14 years, seemed so daunting. I have so much equipment and a lot of baggage attached to the place. When contacting companies to help me move, Move On replied almost instantly and came up with a clear and solid plan. Our day of packing was so efficient I was shocked how well organised it was. And when it was time to move everything, the team was incredible. I have expensive equipment and everything was handled with care and order and the guys were super friendly. I couldn't be happier to recommend them and will call them instantly again when it is time to move.

I hired Move on Rentals for packing, moving and unpacking so had a full exposure to the professionalism and efficiency of all teams. Moving can be so stressful - you want people who help you with that stress, not add to it. Move on Rentals teams have communicated well, answered all my silly questions and inquiries. They also were flexible about pick up from multiple locations and were quite happy to be flexible about apartment moving rules, like booking the elevators, etc. They weren't even expensive so all in all, highly recommend.

I'd watched this company do a removal at my brother's house and they were terrific, so I engaged them for our recent move to the country from Melbourne. They were fantastic. The weather was appalling at both ends and they didn't complain. They were polite, happy to do their job, efficient and as fast as the work allowed. And they had a clean truck! Terrible terrible service After instructing them not to park on our grass they decided not to listen to me Bogged their truck and then tore up our grass Then proceeded to pester our neighbour who is in late stages of cancer to use his tractor to get their truck out after we had instructed them not too The driver doesn’t listen and also doesn’t know when to shut his mouth I am fuming

our move from one side of the city to the other was made sooo much more easier with the help of the two guys from Move On removals.. they had researched both addresses and knew exactly what they needed to make it a fast and stress free move. all the fragile items were packed wrapped and moved with the best care I would use these guys again as there communication was excellent!

I have used Move on Removals for two moves within the last couple of years and on both occasions they have performed the moves extremely well. They communicate effectively and move things safely and quickly. My wife is a photographer and as such her stuff is delicate and she is particular about marks and scrapes, but no issues with this moving service. Will definitely use again
