I just had a look through my banking history and in the last year - I have spent approx $1200 at this store. For something new, I thought I would try ordering my pet food online and having my local fitzroy store as the pick up location. I checked the store's availability and it said there were 2 bags of the item I wanted in stock and on the shelves. I placed the order on a Saturday on a long weekend. I popped into the store about 17:30 on the Monday (public holiday) and asked to pick up my order. They asked if I had received the confirmation that my order had arrived instore. No, I didn't. The girl said that the orders actually come from a warehouse, rather than being picked off the shelf, so I would need to wait for the item to come in and to come back again tomorrow. I advised that I wasn't aware of the warehouse process, but since I was there, could I just grab one off the shelf and the one coming in the following day would replace it? The girl said that she didn't work at that store and would check with the manager. She asked the manager and she flat out said NO. Seriously.... It was closing time on a public holiday. There were clearly 2 bags on the shelf and my order was going to be delivered the following day from the warehouse that would replace their bag from the shelf. Rather that display some actual customer service - they actually made me return the following day instead of just offering me the item whilst I was there. Given that I'm a regular customer and spend a reasonable amount of money there - I was appalled by their lack of flexibility. I understand that they have processes - but, they could also be flexible and offer some service. Anyway... Pet Stock is around the corner from my house. Looks like they will be getting all of my business, as I won't be coming back to My Pet Warehouse.

I've been to this place a few times and the staff are generally friendly and helpful however when I went in to see if they stocked drink bottles for dogs (the kind that have an attached bowl thing) they just said that they don't have any and immediately just tried to direct me to Kmart instead. I also had to interrupt a conversation between three workers to enquire about the bottle. I don't really care when workers are chatting, but I had to wait for them to stop chatting as I approached them rather than be asked by a worker if I needed help. There was no reason given as to why they don't have them, no comment on whether they'll have any more in, nothing. It's the middle of summer, LOADS of people will need these and it reflects poorly on such a large store to not even stock them or at least explain why they don't currently. As I was leaving I overheard one of the workers say "I should just bring in my old one and give it to the next person who asks for one" so it's obviously a common request. A frustrating and confusing experience indeed.

I regularly use the My Pet Warehouse online store and visit the Fitzroy and South Melbourne stores and i have nothing but praise for the staff! They are so helpful and provide useful tips for taking care of my resident house panthers. There is a huge selection of food which is handy as the house panthers change their minds frequently. They are usually good value for money but the sales are excellent. I usually watch out for them and stock up. The other awesome thing is that most people bring their dogs to the store on a saturday so you get to make friends with cute, adorable dogs!

Their prices are so incredibly inflated and the price match promise is a lie. I’ve had price match honoured by Petbarn without any issues. Went into the store and asked for a price match, apparently the price match also needed to factor in delivery fees for online stores. When I found another supplier that had click and collect only prices, that price was then “below their cost price” which is dubious. Ended up getting a paltry $1.6 discount off their hyper inflated costs after waiting around. Don’t bother with this place. Go to Petbarn if you need to for convenience.

So me and my partner did buy a few things here, the range is okay and the stock is plentiful. The staff although kind are not very knowledgable in their products. The thing that struck me as the biggest plus is the free of street parking. It is hard to get to and only 3 spots but sure as hell beats the alternative street parking. I would come here again if i happen to need pet supplies and i was in the area, but ill be doing my research in advance next time

I really like MyPetWarehouse, but I wouldn't ever recommend their online services if you need your pet supplies delivered soon. They have a good selection and very friendly in-store staff, but if you ordered online, your parcel may take up to 3 weeks even if you live less than half an hour drive away from their store. I don't drive, so online is usually my only option, unfortunately. Ridiculously slow and highly inconvenient.

I visited here on the way to home to buy some snacks for my cat. Staff were so friendly and I could find a rescued cat for adoption which was so impressive as my cat was also rescued. Pretty lots of stuff are on sale with good price. Advocate was 40% off so I bought it without hesitation. Good price with broad range of products for dogs and cat, even birds and other pets!! Customer service was so amazing as well:)

Found their range of cat toys was very limited, which unfortunately was all I was after. However their range of all other items seemed extensive including food, bedding and especially dog toys/accessories. Helpful staff and they even had rescue cats up for adoption on the day. Would also recommend if you are after cat trees/scratching posts or pet beds as they had a lot of good ones

Great service and communication at MPW Fitzroy. We had a serious problem with a popular branded product, that resulted in a National recall by the supplier. The team at MPW Fitzroy assisted us with multiple returns and recommendations, until we found the right replacement products for our 3 small dogs. Very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend them.

I went there last month. Shop is offering a good variety of products and the prices were competitive. The staff at the checkout were helpful and nice. I found what I wanted and more. The parking was a little bit of a challenge and the traffic was busy around the area. The shop has a few bays at the front.

Got everything we wanted. Food options where limited so we didn't get any food but lots of everything else to choose from. Staff were helpful enthusiastic and very friendly. we enjoyed our visit but due to distance probably wont be back to this location. litter box is in use but toys aren't so interesting

This place is the best, I will never shop anywhere else for my pets needs. All of the staff are so happy and sparkly and really know their stuff when it comes to pet care. There’s a really great vibe and after being a customer for awhile you really start to feel like family! Always a highlight of my day!

I have been going to this shop for over a year and find that the staff is generally grumpy and unfriendly who are not very willing to help you find something. I have now decided to go to PetStock Clifton Hill, because the staff is much friendlier and more knowledgeable there.

Big advertising on their website, disappointing in store. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for aquarium products Poor access for wheelchair and a very steep ramp inside the store. Parking is difficult, but that's just a factor where the store is located

In addition to the fact that My Pet Warehouse is often not the cheapest I can find online, it is a bit annoying for this particular store that customer car parking is not convenient. The thing I like about this store is that it is not very far from the city.

Huge shop. Lots of stuff (I only went in there to get some doggy treats for a friend's dog and ended up buying a plush toy too) Some off street parking in front of shop. Parking on the street may become a clearway in the mid afternoon - not 100% sure

Took Frankie for a dog wash here. It’s $10 for 10 minutes. The shampoos and machines were great, but the overall cleanliness of the back room is questionable. I had to clean the wash area after I noticed there was a lot of dog hair everywhere.

The Coburg store didn't have the anti-bark collar in the size we needed so went here to get it. Bit of confusion at the counter- not put aside for us at all. Must have been to busy for the counter person to find time.

The staff member that assisted me was super knowledgeable and was happy to answer my questions she was really friendly and I will continue to go to the Fitzroy store rather than the one closer to my home.

Awesomely friendly staff who love dogs, bring your woofer. Huge range of food, accessories and toys. And try the DIY dog wash, it's like a car wash bay with soap water sprays and blow dry. Cheap as.
