My friends and I have done a lot of escape rooms, but this room, Dark Altar, was really disappointing. Some of the mechanisms were cool like the props opening up and things dropping, but we all agreed that some of the puzzles were not relevant to the theme and some, specifically the last one, was ridiculous. We had to ask for 3 clues for the last puzzle alone, not because it was too difficult, but because there was no clear hint, clue, or instruction on how to solve it. When we were given all 3 clues, we were no closer to solving it. Even when the game master explained it over the walkie talkie the first two times, there was no correlation with the clues we were give to solve it. The fact that the game master had to come into the room because she couldn't clearly explain her clue verbally over the walkie talkie means that there weren't adequate clues to solve the last puzzle. With the escape rate being less than 35%, I can almost guarantee that this specific puzzle has something to do with it. I understand wanting to boast about having a difficult escape room, but this low escape rate feels like it's due to poorly designed puzzles, not difficultly, especially because some puzzles were literally just typing one number into a keypad six times while others had you copy and paste shapes that are subjective. All in all, I think the staff should consider that their escape rates may be low because their puzzles are not offering the players sufficient information to solve them. Even when the game master explained how to solve the puzzle, we all agreed that there was no correlation with the clues we were given and the method she explained. I am sad to say we didn't enjoy our game because we felt like we didn't have what we needed to solve it.
Loved my experience here. The rooms were really well designed, and required a good amount of thought and puzzle solving skill to figure out. There was always a member of the staff available for prompt help on a walkie-talkie, and they proactively monitored our progress to offer help if we were spending a bit too long or going in the wrong direction when figuring out a puzzle. Some of the puzzles felt a bit obscure, but I believe we were a novice team doing a fairly advanced escape room, so it may have been our fault for missing some of the clues. We also had only 5 people in our team on a puzzle where the recommended number was 6-8 people, so that also kinda worked against us. One thing I wish was better was the ambient lighting. While the darkness added to the air of mystery and sense of wonder, it was really hard to see some of the patterns and clues. Some clues would light up under a blacklight, but many others were just non-luminescent markings on wood or plastic that were hard to see. Maybe I personally need to eat more carrots, but we all had the same problem with the lack of light. We failed to finish the whole room within 60 minutes, but the staff were kind enough to provide help with the puzzles at which we were stuck, while giving us just enough hints to help us complete the final room. We had a really great experience, and I will return to try to succeed, next time, at another room here! Thank you, OMESCAPE - San Jose!
My friends and I went to OMESCAPE to try out their dark alter theme. It was really fun and we hope to go back again sometime soon. There was a background story clip in the beginning and then we went into the first room and were glad to have received a Walkie talkie in order to get some hints if needed. Everything was great about our experience, they even took our picture at the end with our time and theme on a board and then sent it to us that same day. The only thing I would say they need to work on is the decoration and the feeling that you get when you walk into the room. The room should feel like what the theme is all about. For example, we did he Dark Altar which had the four gods and the guy who killed four men in order to use their skulls, however when we walk into the room it should give us that sort of feeling of fear or a pressure that we need to get the gods back their jewels and there is not much time but we felt like we were at home just doing some puzzles instead. The rooms were just like any other room but with a puzzle or a couple props and didn’t really give you that sense of urgency or maybe the fear that we were looking for other than the first puzzle made a loud noise. (Room should fit the theme). But other than that our experience was great and the employees and the “guide” were really helpful and amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.
So this the best escape room for the budget in the town. Puzzles are well designed and high tech. However their customer service is so bad that I couldn't book the room twice. One time they booked a whole different date even after they confirmed the date with us. We got there and they apologized but didn't do anything to accommodate us. Which is understandable since they were double booked. Second time for the same room, we got a code that we could use for booking that we called in to book since code wasn't working online. They confirmed the booking on the phone. On arrival, the booking was not there. Upon inspection they told us a story which kept changing, that they can't find the booking, they have an alternate profile, their old system didn't transfer the booking over. I would say if you have to call don't go. If you did everything online and it worked, just go for it. BTW they took 20 minutes just to refund the money.
Having done escape rooms before, I thought I had an advantage to offer the team. Unfortunately we tried the greatest difficulty (all the rest were booked) and failed in epic fashion. Had we had another 2-3 hours, maybe it would have happened. But compared to other room escapes? This one: 1. Has great props 2. Has 80% perfect level challenging puzzles (but 20% seemed impossible which they overcome by offering hints via radio and were quite good at steering you in the right direction without giving away the answer) 3. Plenty of parking 4. Really enjoyable waiting area but they were also very punctual 5. Provided adequate time between groups to reset things and discover one of my team had in fact walked off with a prop because he didnt check his pockets but we were able to drive back and not screw up the next team 6. Really fun crew. It felt like they loved their job :) Nice place!
Staff was friendly even if we were treated like just another number. They make you wear masks (?). Joker's Asylum. Clues were bad to poor and made little sense even after explanation, we all agreed they still didn't make sense. Staff: the placards you hang 'light and dark'. That That was non-sensacle and made 0 sense to 9 people even after staff trying to explain how they were supposed to work. Which tells me poor design. The chain clue. Chain was supposed to look like a '5'. Instead, we all agreed it looked like a chain instead. The Cypher in back of door. Again, made 0 sense even after explanation to 9 people. Another bad design. Get rid of these clues or completely redo them. Unfortunately this was my first and last escape room. It actually turned me off of the entire experience in the future. I wish I could get my hundreds of wasted dollars back. An honest opinion.
The first time I visited and held my birthday party at OMESCAPE, I was entirely and immediately satisfied with every single aspect of OMESCAPE. Each escape room that I had visited was perfectly tailored to be the most adventurous and intensive experience I've ever had. This place is perfect for any sort of festive occasion, and is absolutely wonderful for large groups. The rooms that I would most recommend would be Dark Altar and Joker's Asylum, although there are far more rooms than that. The slightest discomfort I have with this place is that sometimes, the speakers are not native English speakers and often make it hard to understand the introductions they present or the clues they relay through walkie-talkies. Other than that, I also love how at the end they have numerous signs and frames that you can accessorize in your photo that you will be able to take at the end.
My family and I have done dozens of escape rooms. Only two have ever made us mad--this is one of them. To be clear, this is not the staff's fault (all very nice), but the puzzle design is just awful. I don't want to spoil anything so the closest I can say is imagine you're going a series of tests where you need to find the winning move in a game of tic-tac-toe or connect four. Totally doable, not a problem. Maybe it takes a little thinking to figure out a move ahead or something. But all very doable. Then the very last puzzle asks you to solve a calculus equation. It's the kind of thing that is doable in the world, but it is beyond the world that has been established for this set of problems. It's frustrating and since it's the last puzzle of the set, it leaves you with an awful taste in your mouth. The puzzle design here is like that. It's not smart, it's bad.
I've been to both the San Jose and Sunnyvale locations and both are the best on the peninsula! Staff were welcoming, encouraging, friendly, efficient, competent. Gameplay was excellent - challenging but do-able, with tons of variety to keep everyone engaged, playful and fun. And the production values are top notch! Each game has multiple rooms and tons of original puzzles. We had a fantastic time! Forbidden Temple was amazing, if a little tricky: call for help if you have the solution but it isn't working. Pandemic Zero, totally fun. Chaos in the Galleria super fun - you definitely need at least 6 people. My teen did Dark Altar and loved it though agreed with others - the last puzzle is a little weird, but they let her and her friends play it out even though they didn't win. Oh, lots of parking at both places. Again, the staff is amazing!
Having done over 60 escape rooms my fiance and I along with some other friends visited Omescape San Jose to play Sorcerer's Sanctum. Sorcerer's Sanctum is a Gen 2 room with some locks and keys that is rather expansive featuring a fair a mount of tech incorporated. Setting and art was rather impressive while there's a good amount of puzzle density. Our team of 8 people had plenty to do each room and had plenty of room to move around the entire time (including a split start). If I had to be a bit critical toward the room is that I felt the puzzles did not serve the theme as well as I've seen others in the bay. These were less "wizard puzzles" and moreso "puzzles with a wizard theme" however they were rather well done and made sense from a logic perspective. Results Our team of 8 managed to escape with 5 minutes left taking in 3/4 hints
I have participated in 20+ escape rooms and the Kingdom of Cats was easily one of the most unique adventures I've tried. My family and I (father and mother in law, wife, 12 year old daughter and 11 year old son) escaped with 14 minutes left. The room is considered a "beginner room" based on its theme and simplicity of the puzzles. As veteran escapers, my wife and I were able to enjoy helping our kids and parents get the most out of their experience without extreme time pressure. Even still, we were briefly stumped by a couple puzzles, making for a nice overall challenge. The next day I went with another group of escape room newbies to tackle Pandemic Zero. It was definitely more challenging than Cats and we even required a hint to escape.
I recently visited Omescape and had a blast trying out one of their escape rooms. The puzzles were challenging and required a lot of critical thinking, making for a fun and engaging experience. However, I do have to say that the particular room we tried was incredibly difficult - the staff recommended that we bring 8 people, but we only had 5 and unfortunately we weren't able to beat it. Despite not being able to finish, the whole team had a great time and we all felt like we had accomplished something even though we didn't make it to the end. I appreciate the level of detail and creativity put into the room, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging and fun escape room experience. Thanks Omescape!
This review is for the customer service I received over the phone. Less than an hour after sending a message on their website, Andy gave me a call. I didn't pick up but he left a voicemail in which he answered my questions and offered many suggestions. I called him back and he picked up and then continued to go above and beyond, every time answering every minute detail I had concerning this establishment. I am thoroughly impressed. Good customer service is something you can't teach, but it can be learned and my goodness does Andy have the customer service chops. I'm going to present all the info provided to my work unit and try and book us in for this Thursday. If all goes according as planned I will be back with an update!
This escape room was fantastic! Two things that I wish we had known in advance were that we would be able to continue if we didn't solve the puzzle in the hour time limit and that we would be split up for the first (small) section. We did the sorcerer room and our group was divided in two for the very first section. I think it's a neat challenge level but definitely threw off the chemistry. Very much appreciated the increased level of challenge as our last escape room we solved in under thirty minutes and was told that we were "alarmingly fast." Sets were solid and world-building was great. We had one little piece of wonky equipment that slowed us down by several minutes too but overall had a positive experience.
I've been to a few other escape rooms and these are by far the coolest rooms I've gone to. Each room has a theme that is incredibly well done. The amount of detail in decorating is amazing. And what I find to be coolest part is all of the mechanics that go into it. It's not just physical puzzles and keys to things. They use a lot of sensors that often unlock things across the room. It makes it feel magical and it's exciting because you never know what'll happen when you complete a puzzle. So far, I've done every room but 1 (that I also plan on doing) and they've all been great. One last plus is that you don't get paired up with random people. You just need to have the minimum number of players for each room.
We got there a bit late but the staff was so welcoming and friendly. I have never been to an escape room before and my teammates and I couldn’t agree on whether to ask for hints. In the end, we couldn’t make it without PLENTY of hints. The puzzles were challenging, but not impossible. Once we got a hint, we usually could go in the right direction. I wish we hadn’t spent so much time in the first room. That would have given us more time for the later rooms. We did the Pandemic room, and I think 3 people (with one newbie) was not sufficient. I plan to go back with a bigger group and try something different. I highly recommend coming here!
I've completed around 30 rooms, and only two have left me annoyed wanting to leave because of the puzzle design. The cat room here is one of them. Multiple puzzles involve "count the number of x," lots of reading print out instructions rather than clever flow of objects and puzzles. One puzzle caused something to trigger, out of sight, causing confusion and frustration. If you want a hint, good luck communicating over the terrible walkie talkies. The physical design of the room has a lot of care put into it, but solving the puzzles felt more like busy work than clever. I really wanted to like this place, but not after this room.
The Sorcerer room was the first and only room we have done here and it was the most difficult my friends and I have done. Many logic puzzles and critical thinking are necessary. Intro video was cheesy but in a good way. My friends and I are excited to return to try another room. We lost a half hour due to a cabinet we could have opened from the start, but because it felt fragile we didn’t pull hard enough. Only minor gripe I have is at the end they give you the solutions if you fail the room, so no point in coming back and trying again. Otherwise, best escape room venue I’ve been to.
This was a really fun experience for my friends and I. We were able to have a group try to do the Jokers room. We were told it was the most difficult room and we almost solved it. When our time expired, we were able get a mini extension and where given some more clues. And finally finished it. The hands on mind cultivating experience is something amazing. The clues where a great addition to the adventure and we were able to test our witt with our friends and loved ones. I would recommend this to anyone and do it again. For a bunch of rookies we did very well.
This place my very first escape room ever, and I did Sorcerer's Sanctum (one of the more difficult rooms they had, I think) with 7 other people. The puzzles are great, just disconnected enough so that it wasn't too easy, but not too disconnected that it was too hard to do. You can tell a lot of effort and attention to detail went into the setups - they don't skimp on the space used for rooms, and everything is automatic (I think - either that or they have *very* attentive monitors). Very impressed with the amount of work put into these rooms.
This was a lot of fun. We did one of the most difficult rooms, the Joker. The puzzles were challenging which is what enjoyed most since I love puzzles. I can only speak for this room and would be willing to try more. My only concern would be the rooms with less difficulty. If you really enjoy a challenge and really enjoy puzzles I would stick to the high difficulty rooms. That is not to say the others are not enjoyable, I can't say because I haven't been. I would come back here though, to a room with similar difficulty level.
Really great! The rooms were very nicely done, and you don’t need to bring in any outside knowledge. The puzzles are really creative and if you get stuck you can get hints. I’ve never done an escape room before, but my friends and I had a great time. There were 8 of us and there were enough puzzles that everyone had some way to contribute. We finished our room, sorcerer’s sanctum, with like 8 minutes to spare, so the difficulty was right where it should be. We’re all adults, but I think a group of mixed ages would enjoy this.
I can not wait to return to Omescape! My boyfriend and I had never experienced an escape room before and it was such an amazing experience! I thought the lobby looked really nice, there were other games to play, and then they explained the game to us with a awesome video and put us in the room. We did the kingdom of cats and it was a blast! I felt like a kid again, being curious and in aw of all the surprises along the way. We escaped the room too! Can't wait to go back and try a different room.
My friends and I loved the sorcerer's sanctum. It was cool to have to move from room to room as we solved clues/puzzles. And how after we solved something, we would see an immediate result, like a door opening, a light turning on, and latch click, etc. And we got to use wands for our theme too! Also, we didn't need to use any of our personal knowledge in order to solve the puzzles, which was such a relief. We had a blast, and we would definitely come back to try a different theme sometime.
My boyfriend bought the Sorcerer's Sanctum for 6 people for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The staff was amazing and we have such a great time! We solved it but it took us 72 mins. and we were in the last room when our time ran out so the staff was amazing and gave us clues to complete the last puzzles. They also have tables and a few games boards so next time we book it we will come early or stay later to play games. Plenty of parking and I can't wait to try the Kingdom of Cats.
Did the pandemic four difficulty. The puzzles in the first room and the third were a little too out there for an average person i think. We had two people who had been before and even they were confused. When our time had reached 70 minutes in the last room which is about the same for every group that takes the max time, the guide will come in and just start solving his own stuff as fast as possible to fet you out for the next group. Will try an easier one next time.
This place is awesome!! The escapes rooms are so unique, well thought out and intriguing! The only thing I would say I did not like is in the "Sorcerer's Sanctum" escape room, the puzzles were really hard to solve, and at the end when you think your done you have to solve like five more puzzles that are not easy whatsoever. But, besides that this place is incredible! I highly recommend. My favorite escape room has been the "Kingdom of Cats". Super fun!
Came here with a group of 8 people and tried Sorcerer's Sanctum. For most of us, it was our first time doing an escape room. It turned out to be more difficult than we had anticipated. The staff and crew members are really friendly and helpful and willing to accommodate. the facility is really nice and good for a team building event or just a group of friends who want to try and solve puzzles together. I would go do it again.
Very fun and had an appropriate difficulty level for a team of 6 new escapers (ages ~25). We did the cat kingdom escape. The rooms were well made and the puzzles were challenging! We took about 45 minutes to complete our escape. The place was a bit tricky to find in the dark, but has lots of space for parking. Reservation was quick and easy, and the fare is well priced. Would visit again for one of the harder difficulties!
The staff are super professional and accomdating. I would definitely recommend this escape room to my friends! The only downside is that the rooms are a bit pricey, $30 per person no matter how big your party. I feel that the room should have a discount if you have a party that’s bigger than 8 people. My group of friends did the joker’s asylum room. It was challenging and engaging, the one hour passed by super quickly!
Really like the puzzle in this place. A tad bit hard but it's always an awesome and thrilling experience. Especially if you have a nerdy group you are sure to feel the passionate thrill when you are able to solve each puzzle. They have puzzles for 2-10 group sizes but larger the group, the harder the puzzle. Absolutely recommend trying this place out if you love solving puzzles and doing group activities.
Very cool experience. My group attempted the most challenging Joker's Revenge which is aptly rated. We were able to get pretty far along but didn't quite make it out on our own. The crew was very helpful and friendly. I feel like some of these should be more than an hour though. Also, having a displayed clock counting down the remaining time would help instead of just an announcement every 20 minutes.
Had a wonderful time at this place. The escape room my group did was challenging but fair. The staff were helpful and straightforward. They also had a fairly large selection of escape rooms to choose from as well. Probably enough that they can rotate them before you'd have time to beat them all. I'd recommend this place as a good spot to start doing escape rooms If it's something you're considering.
My group played one of the harder games, and it definitely was one of the tougher ones. Lots of automation with the puzzles, which made it a more engaging experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they even gave us extra time to solve the final puzzle. Overall, it was an incredibly positive experience, and I would recommend it to both new and experienced players!
The escape room we did was kingdom of cats and it was so cool! The puzzles lead you to different rooms and it was a very cool creative room. I am not good at escape rooms at all, so I was very happy that the staff were so nice about helping us out by giving us clues. They were very patient with us. They have board games to play while you wait for your room, or if you get there early.
Great escape room!! Creative, inventive, fun, and just the right difficulty! And it’s super affordable! Everyone in our party was extremely satisfied. Most of us had tried escape rooms at other places before, however we all agreed this was the best one we’ve ever been to! This establishment is awesome with a great, friendly and laid back staff! Highly recommend to everyone!
I had never been to an escape-room before. We had a blast! Our work had a department, team building event. We started by working all day together, then moved the fun into small locked rooms. Totally fun! If you have the time to squeeze into small spaces with you family or friends, then do it. In fact, follow our lead and make it a team building event for your work as well!
Great place! Very well organized, staff was very attentive. It was our first escape room, but we ended up doing the hardest room (the Joker Room) bc we booked late and all the other ones were taken. It was incredibly difficult, but it was great to see the thought process behind each of the puzzles. So inventive. We had so much fun though and can’t wait to do another one!
We played Dark Altar as a party of 6, and it was a delightful mix of physical, math-based, cypher, and visual puzzles - everyone had a wheelhouse they could contribute with! Having multiple rooms to the puzzle and reveals that surprised and delighted added to the immersion of the experience and made it overall really thrilling and well-executed. Couldn't recommend more!
Well-designed rooms with lots of cool gadgetry. Each room is perfectly on-theme. I've been to Kingdom of Cats, Joker's Asylum and Sorcerer's Sanctum, and they were all super fun. Will come back for more! Staff are friendly, albeit not always attentive. One time we waited ~15min only to find out that our room was ready a long time ago, the staff just forgot to tell us.
Went here for my wife's birthday. We had a group of 10 and we tried Sorcerer's Sanctum and we almost made it. It was worth it and the rooms (4) were very challenging. It was a nice combination of triggered events, operated opening doors, and locked boxes. The aesthetics are high quality, almost theme park-like quality. We would liked to another room at Omescape.
Visited this escape room last Saturday and could not be happier. We did the Pandemic room and found it challenging and fun. The cool thing is you can reserve the room as long as you meet the minimum required. We were able to have the room for our group of 6 people with no additional people added. Recommend this place over most all the others we have been too.
Super cool place. Very friendly workers. The escape rooms have multiple rooms. I did the Pandemic one and it was super fun. The host let us go a few minutes over so we could finish. You get a walkie talkie so you can communicate with your host for hints. They always respond right away and have good hints. I really enjoyed this escape room!
We had a group of 9 from early 20's to late 60's and we all had a great time. They seemed organized and we appreciated that they allowed us extra time to actually finish! Took us 73 minutes because none of us had ever done a room before, but it was great they helped us when needed and let us finish. We did Sorcerer's Sanctum and it was well put together.
I have done two rooms here, Kingdom of Cats and Sorcerer's Sanctum, and they were both well designed and challenging. Kingdom of Cats was the easier one, and we finished with four people in about forty minutes. Sorcerer's sanctum we had five people for but ran out of time. All in all both were a lot of fun and I look forward to trying more of their rooms
Booking was really easy and it's single-party, so we didn't have to join with anyone we didn't know. We went with a mix of beginner and experienced escape room goers and it was challenging while still being intuitive enough that beginners could have fun too. Did the Sorcerer's Sanctum and had a blast! Very clean and high quality rooms! Highly recommended
I've been here a couple of times. The staff are so nice that they even try to make you feel better when you couldn't solve the puzzles. The rooms are well-designed and well-maintained. I recommend people who just want to have fun or plan a team-building event to check out this place. All of my friends and colleagues enjoyed their experience!
The staff is very friendly. The pandemic escape room we did was fun and pretty satisfying in the end. We used a couple of hints and the walkie talkie system was nice. The location is a bit confusing if you follow Google maps, so just keep an eye for a signboard on the street side to make sure you reach the right side of the building.
This is a phenomenal escape room with great production value - of note we had a group including two kids (8 and 9 y.o.) who enjoyed it. My daughter in particular asked me that evening if we could go to another one like it! It's nice to see a room where the quality of the puzzles is good and the emphasis is not on jumpscares.
This was the best escape room I've ever been to. The puzzles are clever, atmospheric, and thoughtfully designed for groups. They also have a good process for helping make sure that teams can't get too stuck if they start off in the wrong direction on a puzzle. I would recommend them to any group looking for an escape game!
Very well done escape rooms! They were very dynamic and interesting! Tricky but solvable puzzles and intriguing stories behind the rooms. We participated in the Dark Altar room and the employees were very accommodating when we got stuck! Although we ran out of time (it took us 70 min) it was still a very good experience!
The experience was great the staff was very nice and a pleasure to talk to. This was my first time in one of these rooms so I didn't know hat to expect. I had a blast and want to do it again. Only thing I am getting older so my vision isn't great so a bit more light would be great or a small flash light.
We went there as a family with two sons aged 21 and 13. It was a really good family adventure if you like to be challenged. We tried the easiest room, but still had to get 4 minutes extra on top of the hour. Props are good and the one giving hints is professional and engaging. Really recommended.
Really cool experience with the family. Our first time--we did the "Kingdom of Cats," and made it out of the room in 56 min (with a few hints). We're definitely considering going again, and trying one of the harder ones next time. Very attentive and friendly staff, clean and cool-looking space.
A fun time to spend with some puzzle-minded friends! Great production values, we were impressed by the setup, though the quality varies: it's clear "Dark Altar" was created before "Pandemic Zero", and doesn't have the same polish. Still, looking forward to doing more of their rooms!
Needed to reschedule our session to a later time and staff said that was okay. It wasn’t until later they then told us we had a $40 reschedule fee which is crazy. Manager that was working was extremely rude and showed she did not care about their business. 0/10 review if I could.
Very enjoyable escape room. We did the jokers asylum which is their toughest room, and barley finished. Definitely very challenging and well made rooms and the owners and organizers after very friendly. Highly recommend if you enjoy escape rooms. We will be going back again!
Pandemic Zero was beautifully designed and very fun to play. Good for a group of 4-6, assuming at least a few in the group have some experience with escape rooms. Their other escape rooms are quite fun as well! They are consistently high-quality and satisfyingly enjoyable.
My first escape room clear and wow does this place really blow my past experiences out of the water. The level of fidelity on the theming and puzzle solving was great. Everyone in my group was involved in some way just cause of how it was designed made it really fun.
This was my first time doing an escape room, although there were members of my group who had. We were all impressed with the production quality of the rooms and the creativity of the puzzles. I had a great time, and look forward to trying another room of theirs soon.
Best escape room in San Jose. We did three of the five rooms and loved all of them. Can't wait to be back and do the last two. Our favorite room was Sorcerer's Sanctum, which has a great theme, well-done decoration, and amazing use of technology. We loved it.
Professional staff and amazing escape rooms. I felt like I was walking into a scene from Harry Potter (Sorcerer's Sanctum). The clues varied in difficulty so there are puzzles for all team members to solve. We talked about our experience for days. Loved it!
Booked an event for my 14yo daughter's birthday and a few of her close friends. They had A BLAST and have already been talking about their next escape room! Lots of small rooms, crawl spaces and enough to keep everyone trying to escape busy and occupied.
I've only tried one puzzle so far, but I have to say the mystery and architecture are very creative. It's certainly better than some of the other ones in downtown. Staff are generally friendly, and they were trying to help with anything we asked for.
Had a amazing time with my friends here. I booked a wrong time for the escape room by mistake and the team was able to reschedule it to a time I initially requested. The escape room and the clues were great. Would definitely come back to do more.
I went here for my bachelorette party! We didn't finish in time but we all had an amazing time! It was difficult but very captivating! It kept us on our toes the whole with with its multiple rooms and puzzles. I highly reccomend this to anyone!!!
This was my first escape room. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but this experience blew all my expectations away. It was really fun and pandemic zero was just tricky enough for us. I found it surprisingly worth the price of admission.
Excellent escape room. There were multiple inner rooms to explore, very clever puzzles. We came so close to finishing, but even though we didn't pull it off, we had a fantastic time. Definitely want to come back and try their other rooms.
Great for a social event! We tried the hardest level and it was fun! Some of the puzzles were not that intuitive, but I guess that's why it was the hardest level. The event was well organized, the administrators were friendly and helpful.
Staff was really nice. We didn't escape :( but they took the time to explain what was left of the puzzle even though our time was up. Also the rooms are very fun and with interesting technology it is not all old fashion locks and keys.
My partner and I did "Kingdom of Cats". It was our first escape room and we both really enjoyed it. Perfect for beginners. The room was well done and the staff were super friendly. Proud to say we made it out with 4 seconds to spare!
A fun experience for the whole family (13+ yrs). This was our first escape room so we probably should have done a beginner level but it was still loads of fun working together to find our way out. Clean and well-organized.
Best escape room experience in the Bay Area! The puzzles are very interesting and not limited to word puzzles. Feeling like went through a real mission, great for friends get together and team building. Highly recommended!
Had a group of 40 people for a company team building event and it was amazing! Organization was great and they made everything super easy. The 5 rooms are very well designed with awesome puzzles - highly recommend it!
Had a great time with my family on my birthday. My advise is if you've never experienced an escape room, choose the easy one. They can be challenging. My son in-law, who has done several, said this was the best. Enjoy
Some of the most fun I've ever had! I've done 4 different rooms between their two facilities, and the puzzles are challenging but so rewarding. Get yourself some good friends and treat yourself to a great time!
I chaperoned my kids to Kingdom of Cats and even though it’s considered beginner level it was not easy at all and very nice - setting is beautiful and riddles are well thought of. Kids had a blast and so was I.
Kind of hidden back in a industrial area this place was awesome. The staff was great and accommodating for our late arrival and kept us engaged with the story. It was a great time for a team building exercise!
Super fun experience with good puzzles and a really cool staff. The puzzles were so good im going to use some as inspiration for our d&d game. This place is a great mental stimulus for dungeon masters!
Love that they allow even just two people for a private booking. Other places would charge a minimum of 4 or 6 persons. The challenges are very creative and the rooms are inventive. Not just padlocks
It was a great experience doing pandemic zero! The puzzles were well thought out. My only complaint was that they were trying to rush us through and giving us extra hints we didn’t really ask for.
It was amazing! Puzzles were well thought out and engaging. It was a well crafted experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. If I lived closer, this would be one of my default group experiences.
Such a great experience. The cat room was super cute and easy. It would be great for 2 people or for a group of beginners, as it was straightforward, but the puzzles were very creative and fun
The room we did had very good puzzles, and was in a linear fashion. Which for the beginners in my group, was ideal. It steel feels challenging but doable, and got them all addicted.
Me and my teammates had a good time here. The Joker's Asylum, with a success rate of 18%, is the longest escape room I've played. It could have taken us 3 hours to get out!
Extremely fun puzzle solving experience! Kingdom Of Cats is the perfect level of difficulty and mysterious setting for kids/family. The staff was friendly and helpful :)
Absolutely brilliant escape room. The level of detail was incredible—and I had high expectations!! Those high expectations were exceeded. (I did the Sorcerer’s Sanctum.)
The staff was nice and helpful! It was fun and the room was "Dark Altar" which was intermediate. Let's just say we had. intermediate dreams with beginner skills
So much fun! Each escape room has multiple rooms and really well done puzzles as well as the design and atmosphere of each area of the experience. Highly recommend!
We had a great time. we did a four star puzzle room as our first try, and made it out in 59 minutes! So close! I don't have a lot to compare to, but we had fun.
What a great experience! We made it out (barely) in 57 mins but it is so much FUN. The puzzles are hard but not too hard. Will come back again!!
We did the Dark Alter escape. Extremely difficult, interesting, a bit too much "imagination" is required in parts (IMO).
Great spot for a date. The room was a bit more challenging that initially thought overall had a great time.
Did the team building exercise and it was fun especially with the team challenge. Highly recommended.
Nice place with really good puzzle rooms. Couldn’t solve the Pandemic Zero room in 1 hr not possible.
We did the Pandemic room! Solved it in 52 minutes! It was so much fun! We'll definitely go again.
My kids had so much fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to book.
This is a spoiler-free review for the Sorcerer's Sanctum room (moderate difficulty).
The puzzles are really good, had a lot of fun
