This park is a hidden gem in the city. It's small in size, but it's packed with charming features and lovely landscapes. The well-manicured gardens and walking paths provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The atmosphere make you feel perfect, picnic spot or a relaxing afternoon break. It's the perfect place for a quiet stroll or to just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. A must-visit for anyone in search of a peaceful, serene, and lovely park experience.

Picnic area
It's beautiful to picnic there.
A little spot of beauty and peace amongst the city centre bustle. Perfect spot for some lunch, a smoke or just to sit and enjoy the gorgeous trees and surrounding buildings. The buildings have a very London-esque feel, a lovely little escape in the middle of Leeds. The cherry blossom tree in the centre dedicated to Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims always moves me, it's a beautiful tribute to people so terribly wronged. Overall, if you're looking for peace and prettiness in the middle of Leeds - this is your spot!
Great little park hidden away in the city centre. Usually frequented by the office goers working around there it's also a great place for a little family picnic. There's a Tesco nearby which is great if you run out of food and want something quick. Lots of bins means there's never any rubbish lying around. In terms of parking there are some paid parking spots a few minutes walk away from the park. Also very quiet there as the sound of traffic is muffled by the presence of all the buildings surrounding it.
A beautiful well kept little gem not too far from the centre of Leeds. Clearly popular with people who work and perhaps live close by by. Curious as to how this is funded as my local park (Springhead in Rothwell) is perhaps much better used yet shabby by comparison. So, come on Leeds City Council, you have responsibilities outside of the carbunkle building site that is Leeds city centre and start spending money in areas that have for too long been neglected! We pay council tax too!
A small green lung in the middle of the city, in a beautiful square. We stumbled upon it by accident, thinking there'd be even more buildings to navigate through. We found it on a sunny day, and there were people around playing rugby, catching the sun or just reading. It has a really lovely atmosphere. I can imagine that in the before times, with open cafes, it was also full of picnickers. We went again the next day, and I'm sure it'll become a regular haunt.
This is a beautiful little park with just about the best atmosphere you could hope for if you're looking for an early evening chill session. It's conveniently located across the road from the library (toilets) and there's a Tesco just round the corner for snacks. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because it gets a bit too crowded on sunny weekend afternoons, and the benches are a bit uncomfortable. Apart from that it's damn near perfect.
It's a little bit of peace in the hustle and bustle of Leeds City Centre. Whilst it can be a little busy during the week with office workers and alike on a weekend the square is almost deserted. I would recommend grabbing lunch and wondering over for a sunbathe on the grass or picnic on the benches. Whilst this is heavily used area weekdays it's spotless... However that might be to do with the phenomenal ammount of litter bins provided.
Always find parking here day time/ nighttime. Quickest walking access to city centre shops. Reasonably priced under £5 for 2-3hrs. Avoids a lot of city centre traffic takes you through ring road - one traffic light you’re here.

Dog walking area bright lit
Picnic area
Summer time professionals jog/ read book/ students picnic and tan. Beautiful grass well taken care of trimmer cleaned
Park square is a beautiful park in the heart of Leeds. It’s lovely and peaceful despite being very central. The flowers there are beautiful. Park Square had lots of seating and benches and we were able to enjoy the peace and the sunshine. Beautifully stocked and maintained. There are some lovely old and new building surrounding it and you feel a million miles away from the city.
Lovely small park in the city centre. Currently dormant for the winter. There are 4 huge rose beds and a circle in the middle with trees. The rose beds are all pruned ready for spring showing that the gardens are professionally tended too. Park is popular with people having lunch breaks or walking dogs. I’ll be back in the summer to see the flower beds in bloom for sure.
Nice, quiet, square gated park surrounded by offices and businesses. It's very neat and well maintained. There is fixed seating benches but the grass is always nice to sit on in summer and Tesco is on the next street so it's perfect for mini picnics, sunbathing or lunch breaks. I've occasionally seen giant jenga, giant connect4 and table tennis being played here.
Beautiful history within the whole town of battle, the battle Abbey and the Hastings battle grounds here are absolutely Amazing make sure to plan your visit via the website. Train station located within 10 mins of the Abbey and High Street, Beautiful people and a great high street full of history

Very clean and well kept garden. In fact, there was a person working on the garden when I attended. Beautiful flower beds, well groomed lawns, and beautiful well established trees for shade. The only comment I would have is the bench that was free that I sat on was damaged. Really enjoyed spending some down time here.
It was quite a nice park but there isn't much to do there itself and it's a little small, wouldn't recommend if your after a long walk or something family based but as a nice meeting point it is perfect, nice place to relax and have a chat too if you intend on just sitting somewhere for a while
A lovely little square, surrounded by elegant buildings and some interesting architecture, tucked away in the middle of Leeds. Even on a spring day before the roses are in bloom it is a sociable spot with groups of people meeting outside making the most of the more relaxed lockdown constraints.
Its a very distance place for quite and air for eveyone. The second you walking it to the park you greeted with smils and warm hellos So good to take child there for the enjoyment and it safe for children as well. Take the hole family Have a good day out With smiles With warmth And happiness
Such a beautiful place to just sit and think! You have a space of trees, plants and flowers neatly maintained. Plenty of benches to sit down on and the light hum of traffic in the background showing the world still goes by as you sit and chill! Highly recommended to anyone walking by!
Immaculately kept ground in the heart of Leeds prime Park Square location. It is like a small haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre with good amount of shade, plenty of benches to sit on and beautifully kept flowerbeds. Great to spend a warm summer afternoon at.
There is a beautiful park which is ideal for lunch in warm weather. It felt like an oasis of calm just walking through the spacious park. There are a great many offices in the area and the park provides a great place to wait if you are a little early for an appointment.
Lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, especially for a lunch break as there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the park. It's well kept and maintained with nice plants. It's not very big but is massively popular, especially on warm days.
A beautiful peaceful place located close to the Leeds Art Gallery. I always come here after a long day at work to get some peace and enjoy the garden. Many people excerise here and it is a great place to unwind and enjoy the range of flowers around you.
Lovely place to sit on sunny day. Close to train station if you want to sit somewhere nice until the train comes in. Has plenty of benches. Great place for a picnic in the city centre. Free museums nearby if you're planning a touristy day out.
My most favourite place to have a calm walk and reconnect with nature, away from the loud noise and crowds of Leeds. Especially on a sunny, grab a coffee at La botega nearby and sit and enjoy on the grass with a book or music. …
Beautiful garden square in the heart of the city.....peaceful even on hot sunny days. The roses are beautiful when in full bloom. Plenty of benches or lay on the grass & soak up its historical atmosphere of the surrounding buildings.
Absolutely stunning park in the heart of Leeds. I highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful location to have a picnic, or informal meeting to do so at Park Square. It is absolutely sensational and a great location for all ages.
Used the location for parking whilst shopping during festive break. Excellent city centre acces, inexpensive, uncomplicated. I don't know whether there will be any availability during a normal working week however, worth checking
During rosses blooming it is so beautiful place. It is a lot of precious roses which smells nice. Not big area but still kind of eden in crowded city centre. Good to sit and relaxing with cup of tea for a little bit.
Great place to visit and just relax from a days work. I would suggest keeping a bit of security as the place while being very crowded sometimes has that small feeling that something may happen to my belongings
Fantastic open space in the centre of the city. Well kept by Leeds City Council. Update November 2023 : Still a very popular city centre park, now with two Beryl Bikes docking stations on the west side.
Lovely tiny enclosed park nestled between some lovely buildings. Grass well maintained and some lovely interesting flowers. There are some sitting areas too. Recommend for a break from city life
This is a great park situated in the heart of Leeds City Centre. It's very neatly kept and the grass is nice to sit on. It's the perfect place to take a break and relax in a bustling city.
Small park area in the city centre. Lots of businesses and cafes in the area. Nice spot for lunch, quite a few benches or you can find a spot on the grass. Does get busy on a nice day.
Absolutely lovely. The rose gardens are amazing. The grass is pristine such a beautiful clear place. Would not have thought I was in a city centre... Probs my fav place in leeds
I parked here to get to Leeds city centre Blood Donors it's £5.50 for two hours. I found out at the centre that you can get a 50% discount token for the Light across the road.
A little green haven within the hustle and bustle of Leeds. A good spot for a picnic or a quick respite from the relentlessness of the inner city. A good chilled out vibe
It is such a serene place to sit and relax. Also a book in hand is the best way to pass your time in here. Definitely recommend this place for peace loving gentry.
A tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Lots of greenery, plenty of seating and an abundance of good food and drink takeaway options nearby.
Lovely place for a picnic on sunny days. It is usually not crowded. Police officers patrol the area occasionally. Grass areas are very clean and well maintained
Love it round here, great place to eat, walked up here a few times with the dog too, amazing amount of bins - probably more than what I passed on my walk here.
Lovely park. Highly recommend if you want a chill and calm outdoor park to sit/ walk around. Has loads of flowers from various kinds with stunning colours.
Absolutely lovely. Spent a lovely couple of hours here by chance one afternoon and it was extremely peaceful even though it was a popular spot …
Grab your lunch and sit under the trees. It's a nice micro green space in a busy city. You usually can't even hear the traffic too much.
Secret park square hidden away in Leeds City Centre. Good in summer to go eat your lunch and always utilised for the Leeds Light Night.
My go-to place in Leeds to sit down with a coffee and a sandwich and have a peaceful breakfast or lunch. Beautiful and very well kept.
Anything in leeds is not worthy of a review if you can't get around a city than its pointless. 3000 wardens waiting to hunt you down..
Lovely park in Leeds for all the family when it's warm and the sun is out beautiful flowers and plenty of places to sit …
I came here for surgery at the vein centre located in the square,it was a beautiful relaxed area to walk round after the procedure
Lovely place to sit and while away the hours with friends and try a spot of skateboarding in these traffic free Covid-19 times
Best city Park. Full of history snd great to sit in, in the summer. Beautiful Georgian Square and architecture surrounding
Great park. Beautiful night view. Very quiet. It is worth noting that there are many trash cans (I don't quite understand.
