If you live in Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Eynesbury, Rockbank, Sydenham, Taylors Lake, Caroline Springs ~ a new Malaysian/Chinese restaurant, SAMBAL CHILI, has opened on High Street in Melton (next to H&R Block). The food here is dee-li-cious! The Chef himself is Malaysian Chinese, a magician in the kitchen and a conversationalist among his customers. The menu has been carefully curated to include street food favourites like Hainanese Chicken Rice, Roti Canai, Lobak, Char Kway Teow, Hor Fun, Laksa, Gado-Gado, Salted Fish Fried Rice to mains like Beef Rendang, Lemon Chicken, Sambal Fish, Sweet and Sour Pork, etc... You know when a restaurant is good by their Hainanese Chicken Rice .... and their Hainanese Chicken Rice is not just good .... it’s awesomely ahhhhhhh. The restaurant is clean, bright and airy with a nice ambience matched with great service and great food. Heaps of parking available too.

It's rare to go out these days and find a restaurant that won't break the bank but yet cook simple food really well. This does both, but also delivers old-school hospitality. Remember the days of byo? How long has it been since the owner and chef of the restaurant came to your table to see how you're going? If you want a quiet night out with a few casual drinks and Chinese food that'll leave you full but not broke this is it. Loved every minute, the service the food the quietness. The owner was happy to chat away and have a laugh. Will be back Follow up, have been back a few times since and still haven't had a bad meal. Even ordered a pick up meal and still it was good.

My girlfriend and l had the pleasure of dining at Sambl Chilli in Melton .Fantastic meal best l have had in a very long time. Service outstanding, attention to detail perfect. Meal was served in a timely manner and was nice and hot. I will be coming back whenever l am in Melton. Recommend to all my friends in Melton go and have a great meal and enjoy outstanding customer service. Great prices, have nothing but praise for the both the food and the service. We had very bad experience for dinner. We ordered roti with curry sauce served in cold. Sambal chicken under cooked. beef rendang very chewy and no taste and char kway teow with fish cake frozen and prawn and calamari under cooked. I’m totally not recommend this restaurant. If you really love Malaysian food. Please go red latain in Woodgrove shopping center. Lazat in sunshine. Chef lagendar in deer park. The potion is small serve as well. We feel so disappointed and waste our money and time.

I went in to get my dinner and ordered chilli chicken. The man was so friendly and when I told him I want burn my mouth chilli hotness he thought this was great! It's definitely burn my mouth hot! Best Malaysian food around, seriously! Run by a lovely family who are super friendly and polite and give really attentive service. I never met them before today but I'm sure we're all going to be great friends! Melton was sadly lacking any Malaysian dining options until they came along and have just opened a place that should be the envy of every Melbourne suburb. Gonna keep coming back for sure!

Really flovoury , delicious and tasty foods. The Curry Laksa was good and balance , coconut creamy and curryish. Curries are traditional base cooking with Rempah (Spices). Very good environment and free parking lot just in front of the restaurant ...Staffs are helpful and friendly. The chef try to accommodate requests for dishes that customers satisfaction.

Excellent service we called in late without having a booking,,,, this wasn't a problem. All four of us were highly impressed with the standard of food presented it was completely obvious to everyone that the chefs were enthusiastic about all of the dishes prepared. Staff were fabulous . Recipes were true to origin. Recommend Dambal Chilli to everyone.

Was good. Previously I had gone there but they were closed. So thought to go there today and found to be exceptional. Kids loved the Singaporean noodles menu. The chicken was good.i can't remember the menu name but it was on list as number 50. You can go there and try it yourself. Thanks for the atmosphere. You can BYO wines.

Just some tips for new costumers dining in; If you want Malaysian style, make sure to call the staff and ask for Malaysian style and check if the chef is able to make it. The meat dishes usually don't come with noodles too so don't forget to ask for noodles in the dishes!! Apart from that, the food is great :3

Best Nasi Goreng ever. Their other foods are good too. But Nasi Goreng is the best. and their special sambal chilli sauce, oh just mouth watering. If you love chilli hot, well, this is the place for you. And always ask for extra chilli sauce............. Melbourne's best Nasi Goreng, no doubt of it......

Ordered take away when we were over at our friends in Melton and geez the food was delicious. Every dish that we ordered was delicious. The owners are very friendly and came out to have a chat even though we were only picking up. Well maintained restaurant too. Will surely go back.

After lockdown can't remember which one. Came here with my parents and kids. So fresh and tasty food. The chef is hard working and makes delicious food. And come and check on you. Someone who wants your business and the girls give great customer service. I am a repeat customer.

Highly recommend dining in this restaurant. Always have had exceptionally good food. Salted fish chicken fried rice is the best I've ever tasted.

I always come here at least once a week an order their chicken curry laksa - extra spicy. They always customise the laksa to my taste in terms of spice and never fail to amaze me. Hands down best Laksa ever!! The chef and wife are really down to earth and humble. Love it❤️

Laksa was good, sambal chili seafood tastes more like sweet and sour, beef rendang was average. Server is friendly, overall still not bad. =)

Very friendly And welcoming. I've only ever had the laksa here and it was very good! It's BYO too so that's a bonus. I come here at least 4 times a year. A little bit pricey for my liking, but that's just my opinion.

The food here was very sweet, bland and tasteless. There was little to no spice in the sambal chicken, beef and the beef rendang. Wouldn't recommend eating here and certainly won't be returning.

Food was average. Char kway teow prawns were old and tasteless, and portion was small for the price of $13+. Chicken rice had little to no flavour, and there was no soup. Also $13.
