Re: pharmacy - Dropped off prescription Saturday around 3, was told it would take 45 minutes and rest of the prescription would come Monday, since they didn’t have it in stock. Came back at 6, told it wasn’t ready yet. Okay, kind of annoying. Swung by Sunday, was a massive line so I feel sorry for the assistant, as she was taking inquiries but seemed like none of the pharmacists behind the counter cared at all. Eventually spoke to her, didn’t know which of the 3 prescriptions I was taking or how it was to be taken, so she said please hold I’ll try to get a pharmacist for you. She kept trying to draw down the line, however another tech walked over, asked what I was waiting for, and when I told him I was waiting for a pharmacist he noticed that everyone was busy, and said “the label says just apply twice daily , can’t you just do that ?” Excuse me?- I literally didn’t know which prescription they were fulfilling, because it was never communicated and it was my first time being prescribed this medication. Come back Monday, at 1, they told me the rest of my prescription won’t be filled as shipments don’t come until mid afternoon. Wow what a sh*t show. I’ve never spent so much time trying to pick up a prescription . This is not a failure of anyone in particular, but just overall a terrible experience. I highly recommending driving twice the distance of this pharmacy, because it will likely save you some time. I can tell you I won’t be getting any more here, I’d recommend that to anyone who asks as well.
I have been a customer of this pharmacy for over a year. I was overall not impressed by the underwhelming service I usually get at that location. Inventories are always low, long wait, most pharmacists always look impatient and do not appreciate answering questions. Tonight I had my worst experience with Ahmed. I do shift work so I appreciate the longer opening hours. However, when I showed up for a prescription transfer, Ahmed was visibly mad at me for being there when the pharmacy WAS STILL OPEN. He insisted that he could not do anything to help me with a very condescending attitude. When I asked if he could leave a note on my file for the following day, he refused at first so I had to insist for a freaking note (i.e. me being understanding and requesting him to do as little work as possible)! I asked information about my compression stockings prescription and I had to once again insist to get the information as he very reluctantly (and once again with A LOT OF ATTITUDE) answered me after I had to insist twice for the info. He made me feel stupid and inappropriate; I will transfer my file to Rexall and will never deal or shop at ANY Shoppers Drug Mart after the mediocre service I received tonight. !!!Please request the Manager if you are ever being served by Ahmed!!!
Had a very traumatic experience here tonight. Went in with my blanket shoved inside a bag and it was packed full so no way to even put an item in to steal. (Wouldn’t steal anyways and was coming from a sleepover ) I went to the freezer section to grab something cheap and the security guard proceeded to come up to me and tell me the store closed in 2 minutes and infact I still had 5 more. I told him this, grabbed my one item and he got very angry and told me not to bring my bag into the store again and that I have to get out. I did nothing to warrant this behaviour. I asked him why he is having such embarrassed behaviour and singling me out. He then got even more angry and tried to throw me out of the store. Cashiers started following us and me. I paid for my one item and left. I told the cashier why was this done to me alone? This was completely unacceptable and hurtful not to mention embarrassing. I won’t be coming back here. Sir I hope you get a life and learn to stop attacking paying customers.
My parents live close by and get their prescriptions from the pharmacy at this location. The pharmacy staff is friendly and courteous. I came with my parents and my wife had several questions about their prescriptions and they were patient and answered as best as they could. While some prescriptions were been filled I bought some items in the store and it was easy to get around and find what I needed because I have been at several Shoppers and the basic layout is the same at all the stores. The store is well lit and clean. Since Shoppers is like a convenience store the prices are somewhat expensive but that is what you pay for as this store is open 24 hours. Also they do sales quite often so you just need to get those sale prices when they’re available and pay attention to them. The parking is free. There is easy access for all. My mom was in a wheelchair and no problem getting in and out. Overall the experience was good.
On the door of the store it has a sign that indicates that dogs on a leash are allowed. Further security and an employee at the door made a huge deal about my little dog on a leash. After shopping and filling a basket full of goods the lady at the front took my purchases from me put them behind her at the counter and asked me to leave the store immediately. I explained to her the sign on the door security and the employee and she said service dogs only and yelled at me to get out saying she would call the police. It escalated so quickly that I didn’t understand what had happened but decided it best to just leave. Not sure what the policy is however the sign in the door clearly had a dog with a check mark on it. Anyway this happened 5 o’clock on Monday may 29th and it was a young lady with dark hair. Perhaps if nothing else Managment should discuss how to talk to people. Also clarify rules
Dentist fax over a Prescription over a hour and then I call to see if it's fill but nope said 20 to 30 minutes go there 30 minutes later still not ready and still need more time. Then I ask to see how much it would cast couldn't tell me. Every other drug store I go to tell me how much it will cost before filling so why are you guys different. Not going back to this one after this. Ok here is a add on. I when back to get my prescription today and was done but then i wanted to use my benefits but they already bill me and could not there Computer was not working so he said to open it back up to use my benefit card to save me some money. So did not want to waste more time with this place by coming back the next day here so I got them and then he never told me how to told me how the med work or ask any questions. This place is sad I would not got there.
The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I've had good service in the past here. I will not be coming back to this pharmacy for any of my future prescriptions. The pharmacist on duty was unhelpful and embarrassed me. He acted as if my prescription renewal request was an opioid or something. He declined to provide me with the correct amount of medication I had recieved before for the exact same issue (in my file) and didn't even offer to forward my request to the doctor who previously prescribed it. I could even understand that because I know pharmacists work within the confines of their licenses and are not obligated to do so, but overall he had a purposefully unhelpful attitude and was not even remotely empathetic.
Staff and service is amazing. But during flu shot season - it would be nice if you also make available a FEMALE doctor/nurse. When i asked for one, they had to find someone. And during these crucial times you need to make sure there are proper instructions for people to line up. I was there on Oct 19 and some how we always ended up disrupting incoming traffic. And nobody really lined up except for a few of us, one lady wasn't wearing her mask so a customer ( behind us) told her to cover her nose not neck. Not saying people who didnt line up are at fault they had to be scattered in order to not disturb incoming traffic. Love this store but management needs to work on the basic stuff.
Come here at least 2 times a week for almost a year now and almost always get treated like a thief. Security guard would always follow me around the store making me feel uncomfortable and today I get asked to be the only one to use the further register in the make up so I can’t run away section while everyone else gets to use the regular cashier and self cash out section. Never stole a thing in my life and this is specifically the only store to ever do this to me on so many occasions. Honestly disgusted being treated less than human some of you need to touch grass and learn to understand not to treat a regular customer in this manner. Should be ashamed.
Not too happy with the security guard working Friday Night on the 13th of October. I was in the middle terminal self checkout and after it even said "Thank you for your purchase" outloud and I was walking to the door, I was told my thing didn't go through. That was on the left terminal to which I didn't use. I mentioned to the security guard I was in the middle and he said "No, show me your receipt," in a rude way. He clearly wasn't paying attention to the situation, or even listening as I had to show him my receipt. I told him twice I was in the middle as he kept arguing. Don't think I'll be shopping here ever again!!
Used to go to this shoppers everyday. I lived in the apartments above and would look forward to seeing the staff there. I loved this shoppers.i would travel across the city to go to this location after I moved. Today I went in there and the employees are rude as hell. The bigger brunette lady with the bandaged arm is a great person to make people feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed in your store. I work in sales/retail, i know how it can be dealing with people all day, but if this is how you guys think sales/retail work, think again. Disappointed and will be avoiding this location from now.
SHOUT OUT to Mahmoud and Haroon in the pharmacy. These two have been exceptional in offering patient care. They have gone above and beyond for me over the many years. They sourced me information on scripts, monographs and have done deep dives on Rx info. A lot of homework has been done on my behalf to help me navigate this arena. A special thanks for their most recent care: They had certain medications STAT for me when needed most. They have been solid as a rock or should I say solid as a stone?! Great pharmacy and team overall. Helen has been a blessing too. Paul
This is for the Pharmacy! They always delay the pick up of prescriptions. I used to be fine waiting extra 15-30 minutes but today it was just too much. I dropped the prescription at 1pm! The lady told me it would take an hour. I told her I will pick up at 9pm so time is not an issue. I come here at 9:30 and the gentleman says it would take few more minutes, and that was 15 minutes ago. What kind of prescription needs over 8 hours to prepare? This is way too much! As i am writing this review, i’m still just standing and waiting. Really disappointment.
AVOID THIS PHARMACY FOR YOU RAPID COVID TESTING! I had an appointment for 10:00 AM today and was not seen till 10:40 AM. Then the pharmacist (N. ALLAM) was completely unprofessional by showing up late with a coffee and then she proceeded to eat at her desk and had all the food out when I was in the office. She then struck the back of my nostril with great force to the extent of starting a nose bleed! I have had over 10 tests done in the past year and this was by the far worst experience and don't wish on anyone to deal with N. ALLAM!
We often come to this location for quick trips. The staff is always friendly and often go out of their way to help but yesterday's experience went above and beyond. We've never mailed anything to the US before and needed a bit of help. When we called the clerk just told us to come down and he'd help us out in person to make sure it was mailed properly. Phong turned out to be great. He explained everything in detail to us and was courteous and professional. We already like this location more than most but this was exceptional service!
This is the second time. I've booked a vaccine shot over the phone, only to get there and the pharmacy staff to tell me they don't have a booking for me. My husband also booked an appointment for himself for the flu and covid vaccine and all they had him down for was the flu shot. The staff then proceeded to tell us they don't take vaccine bookings over the phone. Glad I moved my prescription from here years ago, and will NEVER book for another vaccine appointment with this location ever again. It's a shame because they are so close
Do not go to this location if you’re looking to be helped by an actual cashier! They have self checkouts now and had no person available to help. Kinda hard to buy lotto tickets, bus passes and reusable bags when they’re all locked up in a closed till! This location has also never has their tags correct, which sucks for them because of the scanning code of practice! I’ve gotten many items free due to their employees negligence with price tags. If it scans in wrong and it’s under $10 ask for the manager and get it for free!
For the pharmacy. Came to have the pharmacist write a prescription. Was told they have no record of ever writing us a prescription. We’ve had at least 10 done at Shoppers. We were told it must have been at another location and that they can’t see any other Shoppers location records. Really? It’s the same company. Went down the street to the Oliver shoppers and that pharmacist was helpful, found our other prescriptions, and wrote the new one immediately. Do yourself a favour and avoid this pharmacist.
Wednesday Feb 8, 2023 came to rhe store yet at 11:50pm they had already locked their doors. I've been coming here for the past 2 years right after my shift to pick up some essentials to last ne till the next day and for the first time couldn't. The staff could be seen making their own purchases yet the store should of been open for customers till midnight. They are paid to serve their customers till their closing hour now I'm left to pay double the price. Not impressed as I shop there 7 days a week!
The pharmacy here is extremely difficult to deal with. It’s a shame because I live only a few blocks away and it’s very convenient to fill my prescriptions here. Calling the pharmacy is near impossible, no one is available to answer the phone every time. They seem to need more staff working as dropping off and picking up is a very long process. Not to mention I have dropped off prescriptions and arranged time for pick up, and then you come to pick up and it’s not ready yet. Very slow.
Cashiers refuse to assist you at the counter, and will out right demand you use the tills, why do you even have employees? With management encapeable of enforcing it's employees and actually telling employees not to assist costumers at the till and only at self checkout it really puts a good meaning to why people should not be using lawblas companies, This company does not enforce positive customer service nor does it do anything but help lazy management. 0/10 avoid this location.
August 6, 2018, a few minutes before 6pm, hardly anybody at store. I had a simple question to pharmacist - young Eastern Indian guy (unfortunately I didn't catch his name). He was basically rude! He didn't even try to answer, pointed me to the sit in "consultation area". Almost yelled at me. He wasn't very busy..... I am not sure whether he has a problem with white women or women in general. The worst pharmacy service I have ever received in Edmonton. I will never go there again!
Once was a 24hr place to get medicine for those that get sick during late hours of the evening and now has been demoted to only midnight. Still has good reviews and awesome costomer service. I just wish it would go back to 24hr service hours For people getting sick does not only come at regular services kind of day. We need more 24hr drug stores for diseases dont have time off and most corner stores are not allowed to carry most medications that are needed for alot of people.
Pharmacy is HORRIBLE, I was getting daily meds as per.my doctor and it was like they didn't understand. Instead of having it ready each day I would go in and then they would get things ready, making me wait 15 to 30 mins EACH DAY. Also, the security is.. incompetent. Shopping and all of a sudden this guy asks to look in my purse. Did he see me taking anything? NO cause I didn't, and he had no right to accuse me of shoplifting. Will not go again.
I always had great experience with this branch and the people working there. I went to 150 st branch first since I was around that area today to shop. The manager did not accept my shoppers gift card which was expired less than a month ago although I explained I did not go out because of Covid19. Then I went to this branch (Jasper 117) and they accepted it. Thanks for your understanding
By far the worst location for pharmacy I have ever experienced. The pharmacists are rude and don't listen. Very unhelpful. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Even if this was the last pharmacy on earth I'd rather just die. Was told to go to hospital if I withdrawal from my meds that they can't release. They think everyone is a drug addict looking for a high. Where is the humanity in people anymore?
My review is for the pharmacy, not the store itself. I was extremely disappointed by the professionalism and communication of the pharmaceutical staff. I had hoped my first impression was just an "off" day, but multiple interactions have been frustrating and difficult. Not what I've been used to from Shoppers pharmacies, which has usually been my pharmacy of choice over the years.
Seriously we should be able to pay for moving tape at the cashier instead of waiting at the post office on a Saturday afternoon with 1 worker!! As well I’m tired and f being followed around the store by staff and security like I’m a shop lifter!! I come here like 5 times a week and spend a lot of money! Quit profiling people because I wear sweats and runners!! Be better
I usually come in here to use the post office and the ladies there are always friendly and very efficient. Lindsay was the individual that was there today and she helped to send my Shaw equipment back and she was very helpful. If she has the time, she will even help put postage on bulk mailings or help with packaging. Great worker! Thanks Lindsay!
If you book in a vaccine appointment ahead of time like a responsible adult; they won't honor it because of all the walk in traffic. What was the whole point of the process?? Meanwhile the pharmacist is telling me to mix vaccinations. A simple apology for wasting my time would've worked a whole lot better. 0/5 for terrible customer service
I wish I got her name but I’ve been in that location twice now and the woman about 30 or so, brown hair, pulled back in a pony tail, wearing glasses…. Is wonderful! Friendly, personable, engaging and her service is awesome. She deserves a raise! I was just in and she asked me how I was paying , and ended up doing it for me…. Bravo Babes!
This location has spacious parking lot provided the bars closeby aren't busy(nowadays). Friendly and professional staff (specially in pharmacy). They have produce and they're always fresh. Very busy pharmacy, you need patience when they say meds will take 30 minutes or you can leave and come back for your prescription medications. …
Parking is terrible here because of the bar next door. Pharmacy is slow to fill even simple orders. Staff are helpful and nice (both pharma, and the makeup counter - I'll look past the extremely inappropriate security guard they had a for a bit) and the store is clean and well stocked. Canada Post kiosk disappointing, as usual.
Since moving my prescriptions to this Shoppers a year ago, pharmacy has always been difficult but, today I called 3 separate times to refill my prescription and was not answered once! Spent 15-30mins waiting on the phone and eventually had to give up. Will be transferring my meds to a new pharmacy immediately.
Was in this store I shop at on a couple of times a week basis. And one of the regular check out girls who I chat with sent security over to watch me as I am digging in my bag looking for my cards to pay. Why have self check out if your worried. FYI. I keep my wallet. In my bag. Will never shop here again.
The pharmacy is a joke. Make sure you give them an insane amount of notice before you need anything. Also if you ask them to fax your doctor for refills you have to check up on them like they are children to make sure they actually do it because they don’t do anything they are supposed to do.
I've been here countless times with my e-scooter in hand. I tried to go today. Just a quick 2 minute pick-up, $50, and they wouldn't let me in walking with my scooter (smaller than a stroller). I won't be visiting this location again. I gave my business to Rexall; they happily took my money.
Pharmacy is not efficient at all. Every single time, without exception, that I go to get a prescription filled I am told 20 to 30 minutes. I come back 40 to 60 minutes later and it's not ready. I watch them BEGIN to fill my order while I stand and wait after giving them extra time. Terrible
Lady at post office is lovely. Lady who answers the phone in pharmacy, not so much. She was quite rude. You should be careful with how you answer enquiries because you might loose customers! I'm definitely not coming back after that treatment when there are other options for pharmacies.
Stupendous shoppers with great staff members. This is a great clean location. The evening has great security staff. This place is open till midnight which is very convenient. I especially love that you can buy salad mixes and other small groceries here very conveniently. Great shop! <3
The store is fine but I gotta give 0 for Impark's predatory practices. The parking lot is not free and at night, you'd be hard pressed to find signalization or the machine that says you have to pay. I'll make sure not to go to this location as a 15 minute trip for a flu shot cost $90.
This is my favorite Shoppers location near me. Danny at the front has always been very helpful and accommodating to ensure I get excellent customer service with a smile on his face. The pharmacy is usually busy, but it seems like they changed ownership(Tay) and have been great so far!
My 86-year old mother brought in a prescription, it was not available, they said they would call her when it was ready. She went in today on a hunch, found out it had been waiting for her to pick up for more than two weeks, no one called her. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Post office guy needs more training. I went to load my H&R Block card today at around 6:20 PM and he told me that they only do that for Canada post credit cards. I than had to drive for 17 minutes to another Shopper's drug mart store and got the service I needed. What's the deal?!!
New female staff member is making me feel uncomfortable with her prying I have b12 injections every month and Im changing pharmacy because of her. She has administered it twice and twice is discouraging Im not sure what her intentions are. Becarefull
This store is the king of deceptive price tags It is very common to have a mismatched tag for the right product this happens weekly and nothing is done to ever correct it. Staff seem very unhappy and most of the staff seemly have left, Wonder why
Went in here on Christmas Day as it was one of very few places to get groceries that was open. There were a couple closer Shoppers but I used to live downtown and I’d go to this location almost every day, so figured I’d make my way over to
Called the pharmacy about a possible drug interaction & the Pharmacist was amazing. Very patient & helpful. Relieved my stress & gave me accurate & helpful information. As someone who deals with pharnacies a lot, & for many years, this was
It's basically like a "neighborhood drug store" where the staff are friendly and recognize their regulars. Prices are good (set by corporate). Just started using the pharmacy and the pharmacist took the time to figure out my health needs.
Probably the worst shoppers! I live in neighborhood and go there often. More often than not they claim there machine cant redeem shoppers points, and there staff is hit and miss. This evening the girl claiming to be manager came to help
Insensitive and judgmental pharmacists, just because they know what meds we are taking it doesn’t give them any right to comment about the medication, patient or the condition right in front of patient. It was very uncomfortable and
I love this store. They have everyday essentials, including a good variety of foods and a pharmacy. Their staff are the best. They are extremely helpful and polite! This Shoppers is a great fit in our neighbourhood.
Told me to come back after 1 hour it’s been 2 hours. Pharmacist said I’m not covered even though I’m under both my parents insurance and I used my insurance last week which made the wait longer
I was helped by Arshi finding a perfume and she was so lovely! Her and Monique helped me at the till, both were so friendly and the service was amazing! shoutout to these two lovely ladies!
The place is well stocked for basic every day needs. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful in assisting me use the self check out as it was my first time shopping there.
I went in for a Covid booster. The pharmacist that helped me, Ana, was amazing. Kind, friendly, calm, professional. Such great service I had to mention it! Thank You so much
This store is price gouging because of covid. Paid 15 dollars for a bag of cat food was at superstore the next day and it was 8 dollars
April 2021 I got my 1st dose of Pfizer covid19 vaccine due to a cancellation. Had to wait for 15 minutes after injection.
Twas a fine Shoppers. Got a good deal on hair conditioner. Has a post office. Really swell place.
Always make me feel like I'm important. Thank you.
