I was a loyal customer as the food was amazing quality, but recently there has been an ownership change and since then the quality of food has plummeted, yes the store looks like it's had an upgrade (appearance wise) but everything that counts has decreased in a massive way, not to mention they now charge $9 for a meat pie(was $5.50) as all prices have skyrocketed. $28 for pie sausage roll and couple donuts is outrageous!!!I'll never go there again and I hope others save their money and their tastebuds and avoid the place!! In response to ur reply, I think U should honestly cater to the "gluten free" crowd and not try to accommodate everyone, advertise more prominent that U are gluten free as ur main point of difference rather than lay the "gourmet pies" on price board to change $9 as most people want flavour and value for money over anything else, and let's be honest the gluten takes away from the quality of the pies and sausage rolls and the steeper cost naturally make customers expect higher quality, especially considering the quality of the product from prior owners/occupant's. Thanks for ur reply etc and maybe I was a little harsh and "loud mouthed" on my review but I genuinely had an issue, now I have understanding if nothing else. Good luck

Entrance to store was dirty, inside of store was dirty all around, air-conditioning was not working and was very hot inside causing food to be over proofing and uncomfortable to enter, store was unorganised with old and fresh products mixed and at different sides of the store, lighting inside was dull, only 2 labels on the products with no pricing visible, one of the dozen+ items I asked for was a chocolate lamington however once I tried to eat it ended up being a jam filled chocolate lamington which I couldn't eat. Overall one of the most filled, most unorganised, dirtiest and over rated bakery I've visited in over 5 years. After throwing out 95% of the food, the only good thing I have to say was one of the ladies seemed slightly bubbly and happy to be there, the other seemed like she would rather be at home. I've been looking forward to eating here for almost 2 weeks and what a disappointment of a bakery it is...

As a local who's been coming to this bakery for over 10 Years I've seen price increases in small amounts but after today I won't be returning given their massive price hikes. For a plain square loaf they are charging $4 now. This used to be $2.50 and in the last 2 years it's been increased bit by bit and now it's just plain ripping your customers off. No thanks I'll take my business elsewhere considering. The cost of living hasn't increased so much that it warrants a 60% increase. The Bakery owners are being greedy and they never welcome their customers in a nice way so why would i continue profiting their business.

taken over by new owners, and place has gone down hill. have turned it into all "gluten free", and by turned it i mean they have installed freezers full of frozen gluten free options. you can no longer call it a bakery. there is no fresh bread selection apart from "high top bread @ $12 a loaf", and "round rolls @ $2.50ea". Pies have doubled in price $$$ and are no longer fresh.

Great Pies, love the beef pie with cheese. Delicious. Service with a smile. The ladies helped me out, with sugars for my diabetes. They're open, from 7am, possibly earlier & they're open 7 days a week with outdoor seating. Best prices, got delicious Jam DONUT For $2.50. Fresh. Be sure to bring own bags if getting a few items. As they need option, which they used to offer . P.S. Foodworks do not open till 8am. Too bad these guys, don't sell essentials like toilet paper lol

Been coming to this place for 6 years but these new owners have managed to destroy the place in two weeks. This bakery has been in the community for over 20 years selling freshly baked breads/rolls, pizza's, pastries, egg/bacon, sandwiches, fresh salad rolls etc etc In two weeks, all of that is gone. How the hell can you treat your loyal customers like this? I understand your trying to target new customers but you cant just ignore the people who have made this business what it is.

Nestled amongst a whole row of shops this place is worth the visit. Hot food, rolls, pastries and breads. Everything you could want and more. Extremely generous sized portions. You don't go hungry if you grab something from here. The staff are friendly and ready to help you. The store is clean and tidy. I have been here a few times now and I will be returning for sure.

Baffled that the old owners left, everything has naturally changed. Appearance wise looks nice and fresh but it can no longer be called a “Bakery”. Hardly any bread and bakery foods- plus it ALL gluten free. It’s like the popular butcher next door changing to a Vegan butcher shop. I wish you guys well but read the room.

In 26 years of going to this place never before have i ever witnessed such poor customer service.not to menrion watching how aggressively you grabbed a staff members arm all because she made a mistake on the cash register.you need to learn some manners.how dare you treat staff and customer s so poorly.shame on you

Customer service is very good. Had the pies, sausage rolls, tarts, cheesecake and lamington; all of which were not the worst I've had but not that great either. Not somewhere I'd visit again but its alright to stop and give a go if you're hungry. Woman who works there is really lovely.

Used to be my favourite pies in Melbourne but recently the price has been nearly doubled, they are smaller and only offered in gluten free. I couldn't finish my pie, if you can eat gluten go elsewhere. Genuinely really sad to see my favourite pies go.

New owners are rude and I will never come here again after being a customer for 25 years. Was abused and screamed at by new staff all because I paid with cash. I would never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to. They don't even deserve 1 star.

Nice eatery, but people who work there dont know the difference between hamburger and veggie. I ordered hamburger in the morning. They gave a veggie calling it a hamburger. I still ate it because I was hungry finishing my night shift

Absolutely loved and still do grab my favourite pastries, Fresh Salad rolls, freshly brewed coffee and the family orientated, customer service is second to none. Highly desirable and worth the visit …

Excellent range of bakery products. Both Savory and sweet products are of great quality and value for money. Also Covid safe place. Highly recommend for Breads, pies and cakes.

The Maltese lady is a gem offering an attentative experience only your Mother could and the Owner baking is a gentleman and shrewd business man and so I wish them all the best.
