    "Tried this bakery this morning"

"Glad to see a bakery finally catching up with the times and catering for people with allergies"

"Great bakery/coffee/food cafe! Mouth watering goodies (both sweet and savoury) coupled with excellent brewed coffee make this a go to spot if you're in the area (or if your want high quality, tasty treats and excellent customer service)! Wish there were more places like this about - love the single charge for all types of milk used in the coffee, too (no longer discriminated for not being able to consume dairy based milk)"

"Everything is GLUTEN FREE, so no worrying about contamination! I had a delicious pie, the donuts are to die for, and to top it off the staff went out of there way to help my daughter select a treat as she is allergic to dairy and egg"

Looked great, with lots of gluten free options which was good. The service was really friendly at the start but during mid ordering she just turned her head and started serving someone else. My coffee didn't arrive and no one asked f we wanted to take away or done in. We ordered chicken snitzel type wraps and it was given to us on paper bags completely cold. No one asked if we wanted plates or get it warmed up. Potentially good experience kinda turned sour but let's hope ours is an isolated case

Tried this bakery this morning. Very dissapointing. If your going to call yourself the good food bakery you better deliver that. $43 for 2 pies (apparently steak), 2 sausage rolls and 2 caramel slice, double what I would pay anywhere else. I thought it must be good to charge that much. Smelt nice, tasted terrible. Blonde, very thick, tough pastry. It all tasted like nutmeg. And my steak pie was just plain old mince. The caramel slice was delicious but not worth $7.50! Highway robbery. I wouldn't recommend going here unless your gluten free. Then you probably wouldn't go to a bakery.

Glad to see a bakery finally catching up with the times and catering for people with allergies. The quality of ingredients used is amazing, the chicken pie had real pieces of chicken and stuffed with real vegetables not processed mud like in most pies. Honestly can not fault the quality of the food here and will prefer to pay a bit extra for quality and the fact gluten free ingredients are a bit more expensive. The service was amazing and so glad to see such a wide variety of food. Will definitely be back!

Everything is GLUTEN FREE, so no worrying about contamination! I had a delicious pie, the donuts are to die for, and to top it off the staff went out of there way to help my daughter select a treat as she is allergic to dairy and egg. Thanks guys, you made her day. The staff also offered that if we rang the morning of our visit they could save her a pie without the egg wash! I thought the pricing was reasonable for the quality of the products.

  • Ewan McLean

The service here was lovely but the food was unfortunately not good food. The pie first of all was $9 which is only an acceptable price if you're getting a 10/10 pie. Although the meat tasted good the pastry was so doughy it was pretty much raw. This completely ruined the taste and is not that beautiful flakey goodness you get even with a four'n twenty pie. If you want to charge such high prices the quality of the food needs to be increased.

Girlfriend who is coeliac loved it. She thought she went overboard with the amount of food she bought but loved it all. I had one of the cheese steak pies. Was amazing, crust was great and meat even better. Very sweet baristas and front of house staff, was very busy and they offered a refund for the wait time for my coffee which was very sweet and absolutely not needed, coffee was delicious!

  • Helen Forbes

Super excited about reviewing The Good Food Bakery. I needed a birthday cake and the advice I was given, ideas, solutions was incredible. The staff went above and beyond and received a wonderful result which was a yummy vanilla cheesecake. Have also had various slices which are all different and delicious. I drove 40+ minutes to collect the cake and wouldn’t hesitate to drive distance again.

This shop is a little crowded in terms of produce but the baked goods are amazing and service is wonderful! I will definitely be going here every time I need GF baked goods in future. It's definitely worth the trip and I would have had no idea it was GF had I not gone there specifically to enjoy this aspect. Best pies! Also, they do great coffee even if the wait is sometimes a bit lengthy.

For a coeliac (my wife), this place is an Aladdin’s Cave of amazing goodies. We had coffee and a couple of pastries for breakfast, all of which were fantastic. Before we left, we collected a gf loaf of crusty bread and a few more sweat treats to take away. Oh boy, what a shame we live in regional Victoria and not closer to this incredible patisserie and bakery. Happy gf wife, happy life!

It was Sunday around 2pm. Reviews were mostly very positive, so I popped in to grab a bite of something to keep me going until dinner. Closing time was listed as 3pm. Staff seemed more intent on closing down but I wasn't fussy and was happy enough to get a meat pie. Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Cannot say that it was a bargain for 9.90 though. Perhaps there was a surcharge for Sundays?

  • Wid Z

Great find. Was at Pure Peninsula Honey and wanted to get something to eat. Great spread of gluten-free bakes. The churros tasted like, actually, even better than some non-GF ones I've had (I am not gluten intolerant). Worth a swing by if you're in the area. People (mostly locals) were streaming in nonstop in the half hour we were there. And very friendly service as well!

  • Rhiannon Lewoshko

Really amazing! Huge selection of pastries/desserts (carrot cake is a must) - all gluten free of course, some dairy free and vegan options as well which is lovely to see. I believe the coffee here is Little Rebel which is amazing and they stock a number of gluten free pantry and freezer grocery items. Staff are really accomodating and friendly. Will definitely be back.

  • Karen

Awesome bakery for gluten intolerance (celiacs). I stumbled onto it and loved it. I couldn't believe my luck. I've been a celiac for 15 years and sat down to a vanilla slice and chai latte. It was gold. Going back for lunch tomorrow. Yes you pay a bit more but that's because it's gluten free. Worth every penny!! Lovely staff also. …

  • Jenny Raj

Omg can’t believe it’s gluten free !! A friend bought a couple of pastries and at first I didn’t believe they were GF going by looks alone ..but I’m so glad to share that the taste and texture is awesome !! It will be my fav place to buy from now on. For those of us with limited options .. it’s worth the long drive from melb city !!

  • Tony Tulloch

I can not rate this cafe highly enough. As a gluten free patron it is hard enough to find good food. The Good Food Bakery has great food, top coffee, and exceptional service. If you live in, or are visiting, Mornington, you will be very pleased that you made the effort (even if you don't have an allergy/intolerance to gluten).

  • Kristie Green

The staff were very helpful and it was so exciting to be able to trust that everything is gluten free. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I ended up purchasing a pie, some slices and the softest and fluffiest bread I have eaten since being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. Whenever I’m in the area I’ll definitely be dropping in.

  • Helen Back

As someone who’s gluten intolerant, I’ve never found a good substitute for wheat based foods, that is until I discovered The Good Food Bakery! The bread, cakes and cookies are delicious and they also make a fabulous coffee. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Andrea Lemez

Wow. Gluten free heaven! They have mastered flaky pastries. I'm from Canada and haven't had a croissant since my celiac diagnosis. They have a large range of sweets and some savoury pastries as well. I have aamppled the croissant, sausage roll, passion fruit mousse cake, cheesecake and vanilla slice and all were excellent.

  • Sacha Wade

This cafe today is my greatest find! I've been a coeliac now for 5 x years, and finding a decent variety of different gluten free foods has always been a challenge for me. But this cafe is incredible! There is so much delicious food: sandwiches, sweets, savoury and grocery items, and all, for once, very reasonably priced!

  • Rachel

A real good food bakery. Great pies and coffee. A huge selection of pastries, cakes, sandwiches, pies, rolls, etc. Has a nice space for dining in too. We had the Lamb & Rosemary pie and the Spinach & Potato pie. You can also get gluten free grocery here. Recommended as a pit stop for those traveling around Mornington.

  • Julie Dunning

Absolutely wonderful bakery! Gluten free? Amazing! You wouldnt know it! Quality & presentation of all their yummies, fantastic! Really good coffee & very friendly staff. A good place to catch up with friends whether they are 'gluten free' or not. My gf friends love the pies & its nice watching the baker at work.

  • Michael Stamos

Food is fantastic and with great variety. The Baker and staff are genuinely friendly, patient and helpful. Prices are high let's not kid ourselves $30AU for a family pie. Nevertheless for the gluten challenged it should definitively be on the "to visit" list although you may want to secure a second mortgage.

  • Andrew Ramage

Great Bakery an absolute treasure for all your gluten free options. Fantastic food and service.. from pies to cakes and bread and buns this Bakery has everything for your gluten free needs...with reasonable prices and great food this is definitely a place to sit and have a bite or drop in and take away..

  • Tina Ayer

Love this place! I am making my way through the desserts, one visit at a time. Everything is delicious!!!! Take a friend and don't mention it is gluten free and they will not notice! Great staff who make an effort to remember you and make you feel welcome. I'm so greatful mornington has this gem. Tina.

  • Cameron Lancefield

The amazing friendly service is second only to the food. Don't think it's just for gluten sufferers their food is so good anyone will be asking themselves if it really is gluten free or not. Excellent selection has everything that you're craving, always a joy to go in and enjoy what I come out with!

  • Bob Todd

The most amazing GF food and most amazing owners/staff! My partner is coeliac, I am not and often I don't enjoy the gluten free options. Not this place, oh my good God! One of the most amazing pies I've ever had and I'm a kiwi so my standers on pies are very high. Thanks to Shane and his wife 10/10

  • Benjamin Pyatt

These people really care about quality food, they have incredibly good gluten free food, wonderful staff, excellent atmosphere and great coffee. This place is worth visiting even if you love gluten because all the food is excellent quality and you wouldn't even guess it's all gluten free.

  • karen68j

Really really love it here. We've met one staff member we know by name, she is great, we love 2go c her. We go here once a week for morning T. Last visit I purchased some beautiful green tomatoe relish to take home. The food is delicious. Not just a bakery but many great grocery items too

  • Rene Ino

There's something about their coffee that keeps me coming back for more. I only have time for one coffee a day and I get mine from here accompanied by their jam donut. Also love interacting with their staff especially the baristas..always so friendly and helpful. Keep it up guys …

  • Mark

Not the worse pie I have eaten but certainly not the best with the $9 price tag, It’s the most expensive pie I have ever purchased. For a pie of that expensive I excepted something a lot better. I will say the cakes and sweets looked amazing and I would like to try them next time.

  • Becca Rose

Amazing bakery! All gluten free and absolutely delicious. Staff are always really lovely. The pies are honestly the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a birthday cake for my sons birthday and it was absolutely stunning and tasted amazing. Can’t recommend highly enough!

  • C R

The quality of the products are good enough and the savoury scrolls were generously sized and light but MY GOD the prices! $12 for a loaf of plain white bread - you have got to be kidding! Cunning tactic to have NO prices on any products. Sorry won’t be back.

  • Bibe C

My favorite place to go for all my Gluten Free options, treats and temptation. Yeah, it's a bit pricey but it's Gluten free food it's always expensive. Staff are great, atmosphere great. Honestly, if you travel to visit here it won't let you down.

  • Jp

$9 a pie and must say not worth it! The Pepper Steak pie had so much pepper in it I couldn't even taste anything else or eat it. The plainn steak was adequate. The service from the person that served me wasn't nice either. Won't be going back

  • Joanne Vandoorn

Lovely little bakery/ Cafe. Good for all those that are gluten intolerant, dairy free or coeliac, just brilliant. Very welcoming, lovely staff, lots to pick and choose from, from fresh food with a cuppa to buying off the shelves or fridges.

  • Sarah Heald

I wish I realised ALL the food was gluten free... got vanilla slice and carrot cake and I have to admit, that vanilla slice was not very good... the pastry very tough and chewy and the filling quite heavy and dense. I’m assuming it’s

Fantastic. 100% gluten free? So what. 100% amazing baked products anyone will love. Everything we ate was delicious, nothing tasted anything other than great, you'd never guess there was no wheat anywhere in sight. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place. I love that the staff remember me each time I visit, they are friendly and welcoming, but most of all, I love the range of gluten free foods! Its so nice to know I can eat anything in the bakery. thank you

  • Two Sheds

Not their best day here yesterday. Service was very uneven and they actually forgot our coffee order at one point. We liked what we had though. The coffee was good and the bliss ball well made and very tasty. We would return here

  • Janine Hong

For a gluten and dairy free chocolate cake it was very moist and generous with berries but somehow the one we got had a hole in the middle. The sticky date cupcakes looked good but in the end they were really dry. Friendly staff.

  • Kerry Dillon
