"I'm a big fan of Aussie meat pie and the pie here is really good: - Chunky pulled beef - Taste of wine and a good amount of veggies (carrots, onions, celery) - Clear distinction between top and base pastry - Fresh - straight out from the oven There are a lot more options to try out, and all of them looked nicely tailored I would say the price might be high for a meat pie - however, considering its location in the city, I would say it is worth it"

Beef and Mushroom Pie
My boyfriend and I went here to get a pie for lunch. There were no menus or prices, and we just had to ask which types of pie were available (only chicken or beef). I got a beef pie and he got a chicken pie ($10 each) and we soon discovered that the pie crusts were undercooked and soft, so we had to eat them with forks. He is not a very picky eater but doesn't like mushrooms and the chicken pie contained mushrooms which we weren't told about. We both agreed that the herbs or spices used in the chicken pie were bad, and he only ate less than half of his. My pie was good apart from the soft crust, so I gave him some of mine. Overall, the pies were not worth $10, the beef one was good and I'd probably pay $8 for it, but I wouldn't eat the chicken pie.
Got the sausage roll and chicken sandwich. I prefer the sausage rolls that are similar to the servo rolls where you get a nice ratio of meat to pastry. Where it’s compact. This roll was huge! There were bites of just the filling and that’s not for me . Flavour wise it’s seemed lacking aswell by itself . Make sure you get the sauce/chutney it comes with! It does taste better. As for the sandwich the seeded bread was a little too much and too soft. I suspect if you could lightly toast it a bit it might taste better. But the sandwich still tasted good. It tasted even better when I dipped it into the sausage roll chutney !
Visited recently with my wife and I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this bakery. The selection of bakery goods is great and the quality of the food excellent. The coffee tastes great and it’s definitely worth travelling to south Yarra for it. Highly recommend this bakery. You won’t be disappointed.

Tivoli Road Bakery sells these beautiful crispy croissants and chewing sourdough bread. The soy and linseed bread matches well with Vegemite and melted butter. Unfortunately, Tivoli Road Bakery has a tiny seating area and tends to become overcrowded on weekends. The coffee is top quality, but you’re often waiting a long time for takeaway orders. At Easter time, Tivoli Road Bakery makes the most decadent hot crossed buns. I’m happy to wait in that long line to collect my preorder.
Probably one of the best bakeries I've been to - the food here is fantastic! Had the sausage roll and chicken pie: the pastry is flakey and delicious, with the fillings equally tasty to match. Finished off with a caramel donut and pear/brown butter cake which was extremely moist, but not too sweet. The venue is relatively small but it seems like the majority of people get take away, so you should get a seat easily enough. All in all I would recommend this bakery to anybody.
Wow, really beautiful bakery, and the service was excellent. The bacon and egg roll was definitely my favourite, everything about this worked and I wanted another. I also really enjoyed the ham, cheese and tomato croissant, it was surprisingly juicy and the texture was great. The almond croissant was above average, but I'm not sure if it was worth all the rage. The best item was the Palmier, I think it was the best I have ever had (better than any I have had in Europe).
Always been a favourite of mine so I was excited when I realised I was in the area. Hazelnut choc cookie was amazing but unfortunately one of the worst coffees I’ve had for awhile super weak (paid for extra shot) and piping hot couldn’t even drink it. Girl serving was super lovely but the barista looked like she didn’t want to be there which unfortunately reflected in her coffee.

We had the beef pie, a plain croissant and pistachio and raisin danish. Pie was excellent - loved the home cooked vibe about it, meat was tender and flavourful, the filling was like what you’d get from a slow cooker - felt very homely! The pastries weren’t anything special. Not super flakey or crunchy like I’ve had from other places. Good but not fantastic. The French baker at the Prahran market was excellent in comparison.
Used to be one of the best bakeries in Melbourne. Quality has slid since it changed ownership. Food now is mediocre. Sausage rolls as an example used to be astounding - perfectly made. Now, not great - chunks of bread and poorly mixed. Sandwiches also miss the care that went into them previously. Also seem very unorganised with service, and messy behind the counter and in the kitchen. Very different to what it used to be.
Very inconsistent now. The standard has definitely dropped overall. This place isn't what it used to be. The olive "loaf" has shrunk so much. It's not even 2/3 of what it used to be (for the same price) The rest of the pastries are hit and miss, both for size and quality. The canele are still nice but very expensive Very disappointing to see this place go from being amazing to absolutely mediocre.
Braised Beef Ragu Pie $10 and Pork, Sage & Garlic Roll $9 were the best pie & sausage roll that we’ve ever tried and we’ve tried a fair bit of these from other places. The pastry’s so buttery & flaky, the meat filling’s generous & of high gourmet quality. It’s located in a nice little bakery/cafe in a leafy suburb. Definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Their ham and cheese croissants was delicious however after a few bites it leaves your mouth with grease. So if you don’t mind the greasiness then it’s quite a decent savoury croissant. Hoping to try their almond croissant next.

Tivoli Road bakery is a must try icon of the area. The bread, cakes, pies and sandwiches are all mad in house from the best ingredients and are some of the best baked products you can get. The sanwhiches are easily a top 5 of Melbourne. Service is friendly and quick although it can get busy and be a small wait at times. Coffee is good too
I'm literally just rating the cinnamon scroll and it is GOOD. Soft dough with lots of cinnamon. The only downside is that the glaze on the outside is a little thick. That said, I've bought the cinnamon scroll twice in the last month or so - I'm not sure I'd order anything else but I'd go back again and again for this.
A proper french bakery that is located in the heart of the city. Selling many great dishes such as pistachio doughnuts, sausage rolls, pies, and many more, this place is become my new favorite bakery in town. Although there aren't plenty seats but they do serve take away. Good taste, good price, good staffs.
Facing a quiet street, the cafe had a nice cosy atmosphere where I can sit and relax to enjoy my afternoon. The almond croissant that I had was the best that I’ve had so far. Not too sweet but flavoursome. The latte was nice, but could be a bit stronger in my opinion. Overall, I was happy!
Coffee, pastries, sandwiches, in short, everything is delicious. More important than these is the warmth of Bill master and his team. If you go early in the morning, you can have a warm chat with Bill master. Highly recommended.

I go here very often as my local bakery and the bread, sandwiches and pastries are always great. Pretty suss on a gourmet sausage roll though, i prefer the ones from the servo! Only reason for 4 stars is because it opens quite late for a barkery. The coffee is pretty good too
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. My usual go to for the weekend is olive bread sliced and a couple of select pastries. I had a olive pip in mine and i inadvertently bit on it and almost split my tooth, so just double check when you are eating! Star off for that.
Unbelievable! Everything I had was the best! Loved this family run bakery. Soo busy but made me feel at home. I don’t normally go for chicken and leek pie but it’s definitely a must try. Cinnamon scroll …
Was told that this bakery does the best pies in Melbourne and that is the 100% truth. I had the beef pie and it’s heavy in your mouth. Well worth the money spent. Will definitely be adding this bakery to my morning walks.
I love the ham, cheese and tomatoes croissant! It’s delicious. The pork sausage roll is also tasty but it tastes much better with the sauce which is a little sweet. I am so full after eating these two …
It is one of the best freshly baked croissants in South Yarra.Highly recommended to try it.Perfect size, crunchy crust, airy multilayer of butter and goodness...Add a cappucco and it's.just perfect.
Incredible bakery with world class fruit loaf. Breakfast brioche is great. My son would ding them to 4 stars because their babyccinos only occasionally have the crucial ingredient - marshmallows.
AMAZING BREAD & PASTRIES. Amongst the best in Melb! Worth noting the coffees & service are average but deff a must try for everything else.

Absolutely gorgeous pastries. Found this place when I was doing a mystery picnic experience. The locals obviously knew about this place as it was quite busy. Would definitely come again
Great bakery with top knotch croissants, danishes and a lovely variety of bread loaves amongst other fresh goodies. Excellent service by ladies at the front counter. Good coffee too
Small but cute. Was going to get a pie but pies are served later here. So don’t go early for pies lol. Felt relaxed when sitting there and watching the cars and passengers go by.
Fantastic place to have pastries and breads.

One of the best bakery I have ever been in Melbourne. Great coffee, excellent bread, outstanding patisserie. All of this make the place busy most of the time.

Can honestly say it’s the best sausage roll I’ve ever had and one I always look forward to getting. Best bakery in the area as far as I’m concerned.
Cozy cafe, great pastries especially having tart with hot tea was so amazing!!!! Lovely staff and pet friendly. Wish you open one in Thailand.
My favourite cafe in Melbourne ☺️ Tomato and ham cheese croissant is a must, Sausage roll and chicken, leek mushroom pie is yum also!
Great if you want a croissant with no layers and bad customer service. Easy to eat because it was chewed before being served to me.
I've been here multiple times and they have never disappointed me sausage roll is oh so flakey and juicy …
Sensational Sourdough bread. Coffee pretty good (soy, no almond milk). Nutella donut was the BEST I've ever had.
Most of the sought after baked goods (Almond Croissants) still disappear before the lunch hour.
