Free (1st 2-Hrs) public multi-storey car park provided by local council, with ramp access to lift next to the stairs. Charges apply after 1st 2 hours, and if return within 3 hours. IMO, that's very fair. That's probably why I could find a parking spot within 5min in this very busy carpark. Clean, NO disgusting smell today I went. Toilet facility available. Parking space is tight. Clearance is 2.0m. Did read others comment of overhanging concrete slaps in parking spots in middle section. So I took notice of same. I spared some time to get out as I saw a queue to get thru Exit gate, because of heavy traffic outside this carpark.
In the car park for 47 minutes, charged $11. Spoke to the guy on the intercom, he said yep $11. Every sign in the place says first 2 hours free. Ps, I am 100% sure I was nowhere near 2 hours. My mother is disabled so we parked on the ground floor. All the outside disabled places were occupied and we walked to fishbowl. That receipt time was recorded. The time of charge was recorded. The time was on the ticket.
The carpark is currently undergoing renovations which means there are limited spots. The parking spots are really tight so be careful when opening car doors! First 2 hours are free but super expensive after this - $13 for an additional hour! Also there isn't very clear signage of where the pay station is - it is at the bottom level near the entrance. Stars are definitely for the convenience and the location.
Multi level Carpark in the heart of Manly. Pretty ugly looking structure but not sure how you could make it better especially as it has been there for so long. I remember skating around there when I was a kid. Parking is pretty tight in Manly and a nightmare trying to find a Carpark on the weekends so get in early. Manly just has a serious #parking problem. #LetsGuide #manly #Sydney #Australia
Pay attention to the low overhang parking spots! Don’t ever reverse park at these spots because no matter how good you are at reverse parking, the chances of you damaging your car is high. I smashed the rear windscreen of my brand new car here. To my surprise, my repairer told me I’m the No. N customer he had from Whistler! Hope you won’t become that No. N+1
Being 5 minutes over you will still have to pay, fair enough if you just get it wrong, even though many carparks have a 15 minute grace period. Also even if you ask politely the lady will give you a lot of attitude about going over an imaginary 3 minute grace period. Shoddy service from people enjoying their tiny bit of power.
Beware of those concrete hanging blocks. DO NOT REVERSE YOUR CAR INTO THOSE SPOTS or just be super super careful!! The car reverse sensor won’t detect them because of their positioning. We now have a dent in the back of the car. Should have read the others comments before deciding to park there.
Council parking. 1st, 2 hours free! Parking spaces are tight but manageable. They have motor bike parking and allocated parks for Mums with Prams. Super close to manly wharf, all the shops & the beach. The Carpark needs a good high pressure clean to make it look brighter and cleaner.
Small spaces, only has lift access on one side, if you park one half of each level, making it impossible to manoeuvre with prams. "Parent" car parks are so narrow you can barely open the doors. But very close to the Corso and Manly ferry. Stars for location.
Damaged the back of my car reversing into a space that had overhanging concrete ledge. It was a small space on the left of the up ramp and as you wld naturally reverse due to the ramp, it was impossible to so see that it was a front only
Very tight car spaces. Be very aware that alot of spaces have a large concrete overhang. We saw 3 hatch back cars smash their back windows in space of two hours tonight. All reversed into spots with concrete overhangs. Be warned!!!
Reversed into a car spot with one of those concrete overhangs that I couldn’t see through my mirrors and my reverse camera and sensors didn’t detect, which shattered my entire back window. These spots should NOT be car spots!!!!
Tiny car spaces, tight turns to go up and down levels. It feels as if they designed the carpark with minimum sizes, to maximize the number of spaces. Sometimes, despite there being empty spaces, I could not park in them.
Plenty of paid/ticketed parking for a Sunday. Slightly cloudy weather with chance of rain and temps of 23 max today so that may be why less on top of covid. Very close to Sunday markets as you get out of the car park
BE VERY CAREFUL REVERSE PARKING HERE. THERE IS CONCRETE HANGING DOWN THAT YOU CAN NOT SEE AND YOUR SENSORS AND CAMERA WILL NOT PICK UP ON BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION OF IT. IT WILL SMASH YOUR BACK WINDOW. BEWARE
No better than other car parks in Manly area but it is NOT time limited and it is under cover. Payment must be made before exit otherwise jams people leaving. Fix this and the rating would improve.
2hrs for free is great. Just plan some time to get out since it sometimes is a bit congested and you can easily spend 5-10min getting to the exit. Parking spaces are quiet small.
Car park is a bit tight for large cars. Be sure to drive out after 2 hours and just go around to avail the free 2 hours of free parking otherwise price is quite steep
When people complain about smashing the window screens it's because in every parking spot it clearly says to park front first not reverse. 2 hours free good for me
The ceiling is very low. The fire extinguisher damaged my car when I opened the boot. It cost me $1100 to fix the paint. Very narrow car park as well.
Great location! Expensive car parking if you stay over 2 hours (that’s manly for you) and the car parks are probably the smallest I have ever seen!
It's a carpark. Bit of a tight fit (but what in Manly isn't) but is one of, if not the cheapest and most conveniently positioned carparks in Manly
It's good for 3 hours free parking .centre to manly . Part of northren breaches council. Once you are over the 3 hours then you pay. Not cheap .
Free for the first 2 hours and free all day motorbike parking. Spaces are a little tight, can be pretty hard to get kids in and out of car seats
There is a decent amount of spots but sometimes it's completely full. Also it is very narrow so you could ding your car if you're not careful.
Free 2 hour parking. Very tight spaces but can do as Manly parking is always a challenge. Even for a SUV, a bit of work but can be managed.
Tight spots, wide pylons and concrete overhangs do not a pleasant parking experience make. Concrete vs vehicle... concrete usually wins.
Very small bays and be careful . When it says front end in .. park front end in. I have seen a couple of rear windows come off second ..
Essential car park if you are coming to Manly but never ending renovation is taking lot of car spaces. They are charging now evenings.
Parking is free for two hours only during the day. In the evening, you have to pay. Don't remember the time when free two hours ends.
It's a carpark. It's almost perfect but it's not free :) that and the place could do with a high pressure clean!
Loved it. Nicely designed. Free for 2 hours. Conveniently located near the restaurants and the beach.
Convenient if you need less than 2 hours. Spaces are tiny. Always a struggle to open your car doors
great for 2 hours free parking before 7pm every day, fills up quickly on the weekend. very handy
Do not park in this carpark. I smashed my back window due to the overhang. DO NOT PARK HERE.
EXTREMELY NARROW PARK SPACES. Do not park here if you don’t want your car damaged.
Horribly designed parking lot. Saw people’s car literally destroyed here
Free 2 hour parking, which is great but very narrow car spaces.
First 2hrs are free. Spaces can be tight but still ok.
Horrible, Narrow, Dangerous. Stay away.
