Special shout out to David who kept the car park open for an extra 30 mins on his own time last night (Saturday Night 3rd December 2022). Due to a huge and greedy stuff up at Wilson Parking under the Opera House. We had pre booked our parking there to attend a much awaited concert We spent nearly an hour in the Wilson operated opera house car park following the traffic down, then back up. The place was full, despite the fact we, like others, had pre- booked. No full signs preventing cars from going in! But Not a single space available! Unbelievablly poor buiness practice! By the time we exited out of that horrendous spiral and traffic jam, we were cutting it very fine to make our concert on time. We drove up to the next available car park, this one, a bit further up Macquarie St. When we entered, feeling annoyed and frustrated, David the attendant advised us the closing hour was 10pm. We explained our predicament and the likelihood that it would be later than 10pm before we could get back. Hearing our story, David generously offered to stay later so that we could park quickly and get to our concert. What a champion of great Customer Service! Thanks David!! You helped us and others get to our event on time! We found out later, this was not the first time David had hepled out unhappy overflow customers from the Opera House. I will use this carpark again over the Opera House one any day. Thanks again David! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm giving this car park for 3 stars due to the location is great and you can book online to get your car space. ($16 for weekend) - Good price for that area as well Personally I will use the next Wilson Carpark (close by) a bit more expensive $25 but ... at least I have some space there Please avoid if you 1. Have a big car - it is very tiny.... I drove BMW X3 and it is perfect fit to the space mark... cannot open the door... luckily car next to me doesn't park nicely... so I have some space to get in/out of the car 2. If you have a long car... if you dont get the space in L1.L2 .. you will not be able to park 3. super hard to return back to the surface... due to narrow space... it's kind of one-way road.... 4. If your car is NEW or Near New... I am not sure if someone will scratch your car when they park or even when they u-turn... ** It has the light on the ceiling to tell you that some car is coming down... so you should not get out of your space ..... Also there is a light to tell the car at the surface to stop when some car is coming up! Lift does seem to work one-way from lowest level to upper ground... I cannot get it go back down to where my car was parked.
The lifts: Do not go to the most obvious lifts as they are Goods Lifts (there is a sign but it is chrome and - depending where you park - not noticeable (it needs to be neon). I got stuck for 30 mins in L8 lift well - no phone or emergency numbers - or info. Eventually I worked out in the FireEscape that Ground Level is like level 12. When coming back I just walked via the drive way down to the relevant floor. Now I know this information it would be ok - so have just upped my stars from 1 to 3 as my car was fine and cost was reasonable.
This is the worse parking for Wilson parking, I would never recommend anyone to park here. It is not clean on a Saturday what time it closes and we arrived at 1am and our car was locked inside. We called the help and they were so rude about this. Parking inside isn't easy either. Our friends parked in a different Wilson parking same night and arrived at the same time and they were given a after hours pin number to enter the parking with no problems at all. Would not recommend this parking to anyone.
Avoid this car park, it’s over priced and you’ll bassically pay for them to ruin your car. They have idiots who work here, who can’t park a car or even open a car door without damaging. My car has a huge dent where the window is because they obviously swung my door open and hit a pole, I’m wondering how hard it was opened concidering it was on the hardest part of the door. They don’t respect anyone’s property here and can’t even imagine all the other cars they’ve done this too.
Garbage car park. The system did not read my online reservation because we left earlier than the time we booked. Strange that this happened as in other car parks managed by Wilson, it doesnt matter if we leave earlier. It normally just says exit no later than set time. Aside from that the spaces are terrible and I would not want to park there ever again. No access through by elevator only exit.
Worst car park ever. Hardly any room if cars are going both ways as it's only 1 lane to enter and exit. Leaving nearly got stuck in the lift with 4 kids on a hot and muggy night but lucky it finally let us out on ground floor. Swiper wouldn't work to get out and took around 3 minutes for someone to answer help button. I'd say my kids will have a phobia of lifts for awhile now. NEVER AGAIN
The smallest and tightest car park with two ways traffic but with ONE LANE ONLY. And even the car space is just very minimal and there is a big chance the passing car can hit your parked car, that’s how small it is. It’s cheap for $12 flat rate on the weekend but if your car get hit by a passing car trying to squeeze to pass, you’ll be paying excess for your car insurance for sure.
I wish there was a zero star instead of one. Staff barely spoke English, they scraped my car but claim no responsibility for it. On top of that they charged a surcharge on my debit card when the sign clearly said surcharges for credit cards only. They are a bunch of shifty operators. Plus they charged nearly a $100 dollars for 3 hours of parking, its a rip off.
This was the weirdest parking lot ever. You can't drive in if someone else wants to exit as it only has one car space in width. There are like 12 levels with only two or three hard to access car spaces on each. It gets points for being a central location but it was a very poor car parking place. Would not recommend to anyone who does not have a very small car.
The most strange and tiny carpark I've ever encountered. It's a one lane spiral going several floors down with maybe 30 spots total. Good luck if you find yourself head on with another car, if you can't squeeze past each other then one of you will have to do a lot of reversing. Don't use this carpark if you have a large car, it's not going to fit.
Worst car park ever. There's only one lane to enter and exit so while you are trying to drive out, the other car will drive in. The car park is very small so if you have a big car it's very difficult to reverse and turn. I will not recommend this car park to anyone.
Wonderful valet service provided by Wilson's Parkhouse. I pre-booked online, got to the gate and the attendant took my car and had it ready to drive away when I returned later in the afternoon. Couldn't be easier, thank you
Do not park here! I am amazed this place is legally allowed to run! No way to get back into the carpark via lift. Had to walk down the driveway to get 4 levels down to my car... Not safe! Nearly got stuck on the lift.
I literally laughed out loud when parking. This isn’t a car park, it’s a vertical drop, 5 floors deep with 5 parking spaces per level which almost guarantee that your car will be hit due to the spacing. How funny.
Please don't park here. It's so unsafe. There are car parks marked in the dangerous places. Its a great location but so unsafe. Only pedestrian access is to walk where cars drive.
Massive shout out to these guys. The parking attendants were super polite and professional. Thanks heaps guys for making a simple thing like parking a pleasurable experience
Poor parking place very narrow to get into and the spaces are small as nd parking seems only to be available on two floors. Difficult to access after 6pm.
Worst parking space in Sydney. Can't believe Wilson put their name to it... Had to walk down to lower level late at night. One lane shared up and down.
Prices are not as advertised for weekend rates.. 15 dollars per exit.. I was charged 60.. u only have 15min to exit or charged another 15..
Can prebook. Parking was full had to leave my keys with attendant. Very close to Martin place and Hyde park for a day out in the CBD
Very, very tight carpark. Try to avoid this carpark if you can..I have never seen such a poorly designed carpark like this one..
Do not park here! They scratched my new car badly on a concrete pole, refused responsibility and have dodged any follow up.
Do not bring a large car here. Entry and Exit is the same one way. If you see another car one will have to reverse.
Worst car park ever. Super narrow driving lane. Was charged 79 dollars for 1 hour 40 minute parking.
Quando eu vejo um lugar desse dá uma vontade de pegar minha família ir pra lá
Greedy owners. The boys were nice but the owners only care for money.
One big rip off you greedy people. Under 3 hrs $89. Shameful.
40 dollars for an hour prepaid, and it’s still double booked.
Truly a bliss when you need a spot to have your car parked
Expensive but it saved me from getting a parking ticket.
One of the worst parking I've ever seen.!!!!!!
Awesome 69 AUD for 1h of parking in a dungeon.
Very cramped very expensive
great close cbd parking..
Just not good
