Come here semi regularly..... always at about 1.30-2 on a Saturday afternoon. Most weeks you cannot get a roll made at this time as they've "packed it away". Today, they advertise Caesar Rolls on two boards out the front, but at 1.15pm (still lunchtime in any other part of the world) "we've run out of schnitzels and cant make them" even though the supermarket is right next door. There is never any apology or acknowledgement of anything in this place. Today, my card didn't work as I needed to transfer funds and the young girl just kept putting it through and not communicating to me what the problem was. I had to ask what the machine was telling her was the issue "insufficient funds" was all the response I could get..... trying for a third time will not get the money luv!!!! I like the food, but everytime I come here I leave frustrated with the lack of service. I grew up in an extremely busy tourist food business not too far from here. The teenage girls employed were trained to look after customers, smile and acknowledge them appropriately. These kids running this shop have no idea about basic levels of communication. Im over it!

I popped my head in to ask if I could order a coffee from outside as I had my dog with me - I thought this was the polite thing to do as I didn't know whether they would appreciate my large puppy indoors. "I'm in the middle of something" - so I waited outside, a few minutes later she popped her head out the doorway: "what do you want?", and so I asked for a coffee - "well, what size do you want?", "how are you going to pay? do you even have money on you?" so I asked if I could pay with my card, I said it was a tap and go - "there is no way I am going to use that" she said, and so I told her not to worry about it. Her tone was extremely rude, she didn't want to bother with me. All the while my dog was sitting next to me quietly. I wanted a local spot I could come with him so he could get used to being in a cafe setting, but it's clear this isn't the one. Recommending all my family and customers to go elsewhere for coffee.

Will never go back and support this bakery ever again. Admittedly I went to purchase bread at the end of the day, however upon purchasing 6 dinner rolls at full price and realizing that they were as hard as rocks once I’d stepped outside of the bakery, I went to return them. I was met with the following comments and advice from the older lady who served me: - what do you expect, it’s the end of the day? - all of our bread at the end of the day is going to be stale because of humidity - if you want your bread fresh you need to come in the morning - you left the store so we don’t offer a refund Thankfully I was provided a refund because the lady could see that that was going to be the only way to resolve the issue, however this is a horrible way to treat a customer. I will be supporting the other bakery from now on and will also be encouraging others to do the same.

Quite a busy little country bakery. Had a "nasty pasty", which was delicious! My partner had a sausage roll, my parents had a salad sandwich and a roast beef roll. Sausage roll was fresh from the oven. Had to almost plead for them to make a fresh sandwich. The "roast beef" roll, for lack of a better description, looked like someone had opened a tin of fancy feast cat food and plonked it on a roll with some cheese. Not very pleasing to the eye, however, taste was marginally acceptable. Lovely outdoor seating area. Staff seemed stressed and this was evident in there interactions with customers. Overall, ok as a rest stop, but wouldn't be seeking out this place.

On a sunny Sunday drive and we stopped here for a light lunch today. I had a fresh long platted roll filled with chicken and egg and it was awesome. My daughter had a meat and mushroom Pie and wife a tasty fresh baked vegetable pastie. Great service by the ladies and a comfortable outdoor area to eat our lunch in the sun.

Stopped here for some very nice pasties and coffee. I say nice pasties, but one was actually a nasty pastie. Yes, a baker has used the name "nasty pastie" for one of their baked goods. This particular nasty pastie was a meat, vegie and chilli version. A friendly welcome, and a little coconut bikkie with your coffee.

Unfortunately the previous reviews were accurate. The pies were luke warm, the scones tasted stale and were without cream as advertised. “We don’t have any” was the response we got when we asked for cream. The only thing going for this place is the pleasant outside dining area with a nice view.

Stood and waited in the empty cafe while 4 staff members ignored me, didn’t even acknowledge me and say they will be with me shortly. Finally got served and was given a sausage roll missing most of its pastry. Cauliflower pie was plain and didn’t have any seasoning. Would not come back here.

Very disappointing, - my husband's pie was luke warm, my salad roll was stale & got stuck in my throat, the chocolate caramel slice and the lemon slices were both stale & crumbly - Definitely do not recommend them - stale goods from a bakery is so unexpectedly disappointing!

First time visiting this bakery. Worth the trip. I LOVED the bacon onion and beef pie. The pastry was delicious and melted in my mouth. My daughter Loved the best croissant it was so crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. So yummy. Staff were lovely.

  • Sooty B

Love this bakery! Staff are friendly and helpful. Has a great range of bread, slices, biscuits, cakes, drinks, sandwiches, rolls, focaccia. Indoor and outdoor eating areas. No toilet, but it is on the outside of a small shopping centre that has toilets.

Ok so I have never waited so long for a coffee EVER! Apparently they lost my order. However I stood there for 20 minutes at least and other people were asked on my behalf where the coffee was. Sorry won’t be back.

  • Rebecca Williams

Simple baked products and a huge selection of pastries and sweets. Great coffee, tasty toasted sandwiches, simple decor with a large outdoor eating area where furry companions are welcome.

  • fetchin gretchen

i bought a gingerbread women yesterday as a treat, it was not ginger bread but some flavourless dough, it was very stale and inedible had to throw it in compost bin. very disappointed.

  • Andy Burkitt

Milkshake was nothing more than a slightly flavoured cup of milk, the garlic bread that was on the specials menu came still frozen, and the gluten free cake was dry and out of date.

  • Lynn Woodcock

Have stopped off for a coffee & Pastie for several years on rout for holidays ect. The last stop out & in was disappointing. The coffee was just ok. The oasties vwry ordenary.

  • NAWAF 10

  • Josh Paynter

  • Giselle Mitchell

What a terrible work environment. The owner has NO management skills or knowledge on how to support her staff. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD WORK HERE EVER!!!

  • simon gordon

On a road trip with son we called in for a quick bite. Sausage rolls were the best weve ever had & vanilla slice was awesome! Ample carparking at rear

  • Plain Facts

A really nice spot. - Service was really good & very friendly. Can't remember having a nicer cornish pasty. - Absolutely delicious. OK coffee as well.

  • Peter Wheeler

Extremely rude service every time, pies and sausage rolls always undercooked. If it wasn’t so convenient I don’t think many people would come here.

  • Ashleigh

Smells amazing when you walk in, and they've got excellent pies, cakes, bread, sandwiches, sweets! The coffee was great, and quick to come out!

  • Stephen F

Really good quality food and pies were beautiful. Coffee was excellent. Only thing I would say negative is it is a little on the pricey side.

  • Riyadh Arishi

Since I came here in Australia, seriously I haven't tried such an amazing Pies as these, with a fantastic coffee!. Deserves a million stars.

  • Two Sheds

  • Frances Hastie

Friendly staff. Delicious egg and bacon sandwiches. Hot coffee and yummy French vanilla slices. Croissants are a daily must for breakfast.

  • Bryan McGlade

A bakery is always good. This one of a bit disorganised. It doesn't really know if it's a cafe or a bread shop, for locals or tourists. .

  • Melissa Ensink

Zero vegan food options. The chai latte was terrible. Waited over half an hour for coffee before asking for our money back.

  • Ian James

Good coffee. Vanilla slice was superb! Outdoor terrace with scenic view of trees and lake. Limited indoor seating.

  • Jarred Stone

Great food and drinks with a nice outdoor setting. Everyone was very friendly. Couldn't fault would recommend.

  • Mitchell Cummins

Blend 43 would be a better coffee, don't know who taught you how to make a latte but it's not right.

  • Russell Wicking

Good coffee and vanilla slices The tables a d chairs are a bit tired and could do with some tlc

  • Tania De Bortoli

Extremely rude service! Could not toast a foccia an hour before closing. Overpriced as well.

  • Fishman Bundy

It's has been 3 years and still a great bakery with good coffee.

  • Thomas L
