All I can say is 2 “d words” - disgusting and disappointing. The theater was sooo dirty. The lady at the food area seemed as if she did not want to assist us. The popcorn taste stale. When we got into the theater the movie started and the lights weren’t turned off, seats were dirty and worn.there was no ac and I felt very uncomfortable. My boyfriend was burning up and I had to go out for fresh air. As I went outside I seen a guy in the booth, looked as if he was closing up and I asked him how come the lights were on and the movie quality was so bad? He responded that the lights should have been turned off as the movie started. He then went in the theater to shut of the lights. As I sat down, I seen something nice across the theater which appeared to be a rat. I then told my boyfriend I had enough and we should leave. The guy outside at the booth said he was not able to give me a refund. This was the most disappointing and disgusting movie theater ever. Now I look at reviews and prefer to pay more money. This management should be ashamed of thereself. Need to do better. Get exterminator and clean. I can see why there are rodents.
Went to see Godzilla Minus One two days ago. Movie kept blipping out (video and audio alternating) seats don't sit up, they only sit back, and the house lights stayed on, flickering the entire film. I left the film (missing an important scene) to ask attendants to address the problem. They were all very young people talking to each other and even though they made it look as though someone was following me to the theatre, the house lights remained on and flickered through the remainder of the film (VERY DISTRACTING). After it was over, I addressed the same group of 'people in charge', and was told they would be looking in to the issue. No offer for rainy day ticket or any partial refund. I'd sure like to see this film there if management will be so kind as to ensure to us patrons that their theatre is in proper working order.
Many people who are not around the area or grew up going to kent will NOT appreciate kent. I a 25 yr old have been going to kent ever since i could remember and i grew to appreciate the hell out of it. It's convenient, it's affordable and why pay 26 dollars to go to a "nicer theater" for casual movie date anyway, these bad reviews are mostly from gentrifiers that expect everything to be high quality.... you want a nice theater go to nitehawk or regal. the workers are nice they do their job, nothing more nothing less. usually never came across a rude employee. i hope kent doesn't close down or change i love the authentic movie theater vibe.
So, I ordered 3 hotdogs for my kiddos, but they packed 'em all in one box, which was kinda weird. Then, I got a 4-piece BBQ wings, but the middle was freezing cold. I asked for a refund, and they offered to reheat the same wings, but I was like, "Nah, I'll take a refund." They ended up making me a new batch, but they were like, "If it's cold again, blame the machine, not us." While I was waiting, the manager seemed super frustrated with his slow staff and said something like, "Y'all are... never mind." Not cool, right? Definitely unprofessional and slow service.
This theater has hit rock bottom. The other night me and a friend went to the new Blue Beatle movie. Midway through the movie I heard a loud rodent screech in the theater. I look to my friend and asked him if he heard that noise. He said no so I didn't pay it any mind. Towards the end I saw a huge rat run into the aisle I was in and immediately jumped up. I was so uncomfortable that I decided to watch the rest of the movie standing up in the back. It bothers me to know people bring their small children there. I will never step foot in that place again.
“MORE LIKE RETIRING THEATER” I came here to see the new movie Halloween ends because my local theater didn’t have it playing. And I was SURPRISED to see how old and ugly this place is. The employees are goofing around playing on their phones. The floors are full of sticky stuff. And the actual theater is full of rips and tears, it’s in terrible experience. I feel like the theater itself is part of my Halloween experience. Do not come here please. They should have teared it down a long time ago. It’s very very ugly and old.
This movie theater is not a good place to go for anything the theater is dirty and it smells like cat pee it’s expensive for no reason the bottles drinks are 3.50 and and a small drink is 6.50 and the walls are really dirty and the floors are sticky so all around I give this place a 1 and I only give it a 1 because they have games people can play. Do not come here if you don’t want to get riped off!!!!!
Prices are very reasonable, food prices aren't bad, but maybe a little expensive for fried frozen food. But still not bad. The atmosphere is what takes this place great. Lots of arcade machines and games for kids. From crusin USA to Alien shooting. The screens are okay and there are only three screens. But for the price this place really is a blast and you should experience it.
Nice and tidy, better experience today than in the past. Popcorn was great and the movie experience was very family friendly, complete with clean and comfortable booster seats for the toddlers. I recommend this theater over the regal in sheepshead Bay for families if you can make the timing work. Its less walking, more affordable, a much more personal experience and touch.
1st time here and pretty dope appearance. Staff was nice enough although the ticket guy took too long to copy my groupon code and then came in the theater making loud comments.... i don't like to be disturbed during my movie experience. I will definitely come back though. Super nice quiet theater for a late night show with out the headache of crowds or parking.
Customer service is terrible. I purchased a ticket online and they cancelled it because no one else showed up to the movie. Asked if I could watch something else and the guy that worked there had the biggest attitude I just walked away and said to hell with my purchased ticket. I won’t feel like I’m the problem for wanting to enjoy a film.
Worse movie theater I been to in my life. There was NO air conditioning or fan in the theater so that was very uncomfortable for everyone plus very little leg room and the screen is small. We couldn't finish watching the movie cause it was very uncomfortable. This was my first and last time going to this theater in my life.
The theater itself is fine. They tried to Make it fun with a little arcade in the back. I went in to watch Barbie today and the rom itself was boiling HOT. The AC was off! Imagine being in dark room with 60-70 people on a hot July evening. I had to leave my movie midway due to lack of AC
The managers are very attentive especially if you have a party there. They accommodated all our needs. It was a great experience. Definitely will go back to host another party in the future. Shout out to Henry and Marius. Thank you for helping us make our sons bday party extra special!
There was a rodent on my chair and I was sitting all the way on the back and also my sister seen a moving animal in the isle but she didn’t know what it was. Also there was mouse traps everywhere around us also and is just dirty and old. DONT COME HERE AT ALL THE STAFF DIDNT HELP OUT!
The movie was great however the theater was kinda small and they have no air conditioners just big fans to keep the theater cool, they need to keep the restrooms clean as well but overall the theater don't look that bad it need some major improvements like the seats …
treat this like an indie theater (angelika) and youll have a great time. treat it like some multi million dollar multiplex and you find it lacking. great local theater to go to, to catch a movie quick and enjoy the rest of night around the neighborhood.
Nice place staff was friendly and very helpful. The only thing is just the room space when u sit down with the seats in the front of you. But everything else was good and watched the new spider man across the spider multiverse very good movie.
The theater itself was fine. dirty, yes, but it did the trick. The women's bathroom, however is, if anything, more gross than other reviews would have you believe. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that when I reached for toilet paper, I
The tickets were $10 for adults and $8 for kids which is a great price. Movie theater is not that big but has an old school vibe... The screen wasn't as big as normal screens at movie theaters. They have arcade games there which was cool..
First of all as a movie lover it's , the old school monuments from the movie theaters from the '80s I was attracted to. Wanted to love this place so much but after going there so many times first time in history hospitality was very very
Not from the area but I like its vintage vibes. It’s also very affordable but do not expect a modern experience like you would at Regal. This is for people who appreciate old fashion ways. That’s what makes it special.
It's not the most beautiful but it gets the job done. Watched eq3 here with my son for $8 and the theater was quiet and clean. The staff was professional. Fun fact, my son and I had the whole theater to ourselves.
They have no A/C. It smells. The floors are filthy and sticky. You can hear the sound from.the movie playing in the next theatre. Went on National movie day. Glad I did not pay more. It is a disgrace.
An amazing cinema, I never thought it would entice me. The cinema looks ordinary, but unusual inside. The only Mins too many screaming kids who play slot machines in the movie theater corridor
the projector can burn out at any time. recently during the Color Purple twice. the manager and staff are aware and shrug . no respectable movie theater has burn outs
It’s an ok place , kids have lots of fun activities to do. Very small theater . Can be more clean . Stuff are nice & very hard working .
Not a bad cinema, but very old, it is noticeable throughout the hall, seats, screen. Inside there are arcades for children.
WON mewith $6 Wednesday but the theater has a weird smell inside. plenty of claw machines tho!
