My boyfriend's and I go-to theater but it's mainly because of the convenience and location of it. This theater has a huge parking lot, free for all customers. The inside of the theater is clean and we never have issues with the cleanliness of the theater seats or the bathrooms, etc. The main issue is the speed of service I would say. The concession stand employees work at a slow pace, especially during rush hours and opening weekend of prime-time movies. I've stood on line for 20-30 minutes before just because the employees take their time with each and every family that comes. One time we were on line for such a long time that when we finally got our snacks and headed into the theater, there were 5 minutes remaining of previews before the movie began and we weren't even the last ones into the theater. Another time we went, the employees forgot to turn the lights off for our film and even though MULTIPLE folks came out to bring it to the staffs' attention, it took 20 minutes INTO the film for the lights to finally go off. BUT all in all, our experience as a whole is good and the place truly is clean. I would recommend but make sure to go at least 30-45 minutes early because all that time could be spent on the concession line.
I’ve been going to this theater nearly 20 years, but in the last couple years things have degraded miserably at this location. There used to be ushers and police in the theater, ensuring our experience would be a safe and pleasant one inside the theater during a film. Now it doesn’t matter what time you go to a film, you can always count on a gang of cretins to ruin your experience. Tonight was the final straw: 3 people from the local housing project sat immediately behind us. They had full conversations on the phone ON SPEAKERPHONE DURING THE FILM, spoke loudly to each other as if they were back home in their hovel. And then they began throwing candy in people’s hair. When my wife started pulling gum out of her hair we stood up and left, but not before telling them what they’re good for. The woman sat next to us also received gum in her hair but did nothing because all we are these days are submissive cowards who don’t remember how to stand up and scold rude people. Management and security were wholly indifferent, offering me a refund with zero effort to assure us that the punks would be handled. 20 years of patronage and zero attempt to retain my business. They ruin everything. You can’t even go to the movies anymore.
On the night of August 02 I went to see the Barbie show at Regal UA Sheepshead Bay for 9 and 10 pm in room 14 which is located on the second floor with a person in a wheelchair (disabled) for a moment of distraction, verify that the cinema was enabled for people with disabilities, indeed it says that it is enabled for people with disabilities and it was not. After entering and buying the snacks, we went to the elevator, which had been out of service for 3 days, which made it impossible for us to go up to the second floor to see the show! The solution to this was to make us wait an hour and a half (10:30) to see a show in a room on the first floor, since it was impossible for my companion to go to the second floor. They should pay attention to this type of thing, since If you are not in a position to provide facilities for people with disabilities, then get out of that range and I will go to a place where my companion can enjoy without feeling bad because we cannot provide the enjoyment for which we went. In the same way I thank the manager of said cinema for having changed the tickets for the function of 10 30 thanks
The theaters are pretty dirty, there was really nobody at the entrance, we had bought tickets online and we had to find the person to scan our confirmation, but seriously it seems we could have just walked in without paying or being noticed. Not many employees. The theatre doors were all left wide open during the movies, and you could hear the other movies sound in the theater. With the theatre doors all left wide open, and nobody working there was paying attention it led to multiple people coming in throughout the movie. They were clearly just coming in after their movie was finished. It was distracting, and because they weren't invested in our particular film, they all talked out loud. There was really no one supervising, and honestly, I don't think any complaint would have been taken seriously. I realized it's really not a safe space. Anything could happen or go wrong in there, and no one would be vigilant enough or care enough to stop it or do anything. The experience convinced me it's better to stay at home and wait to stream.
Man, this movie theatre has seen better days. It was relatively easy and quick to buy my ticket, but that’s where it stopped being enjoyable. One of the two restrooms was closed, but the other open restroom had zero toilet paper. I checked every single stall before finding a crumpled tissue in a sweater pocket. I then went into the theatre, where 25 minutes of trailers played after the start time for the movie. Why do people come in late to movies? Because if they don’t they’re sitting through an unwanted Jeopardy episode of commercials. I had lots of time to enjoy the somewhat uncomfortable seats and flickering lights - yes, there was a very short, one second flicker every fifteen minutes or so: just enough to be really distracting - and weird, musty smell. The other patrons were loud—talking through the entire movie—which was annoying; I wasn’t willing to get up and miss ten minutes of the movie to find a staff member, but with the other ambient downsides, I will not be returning. Save your money and your sanity.
Overall, this movie theater is OK. It's fairly clean, has a big parking lot, and it's close to the highway so it's easy to get to. But the staff and the management need to communicate better with their customers. I came here to see a movie last Sunday and somebody pulled the fire alarm during the movie. The movie stopped, the lights came on, and the alarm was ringing. For 30 minutes there was no communication or explanation given to the customers. We didn't know if it was a real fire or a false alarm. Customers were standing around confused as firefighters arrived. Then, after half an hour, suddenly the movie started up again without warning. By the time we got back to our seats we had missed part of the movie because it restarted a few minutes ago without us knowing. They should have made announcements over the PA speaker system to keep us informed about what was happening. Then a few minutes later the screen froze for like 10 minutes with no explanation before resuming. See photo.
Went into Regal to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the concessions line was really long and they ran out of Cheetos popcorn which was something I was looking forward to after seeing the family in front of me get one. The theater itself wasn't that bad the chairs doesn't exactly recline but they lean back, there's a small arm rest but if you're sharing popcorn and you got butter it might leak. There was a group of people behind me and they were insanely rowdy, making comments before the movie and even during the movie. Also a bunch of teenagers were I'm assuming "movie hopping" which I don't mind but they were loud coming into the theater, and even when they left to "catch another movie." The. bathroom was clean but I've seen cleaner Regal restrooms. Overall, employees were nice, just the people there made the experience a bit worse than expected.
I took my family to a night out to the movies at this location on Saturday, June 17, 2023. This place has a lot of potential, but it is not taken care of properly. Hate to say it , but it was dirty. The steps and platform leading into the theater was filled with dark stains, the glass showcase where the candies were kept was filled with fingerprints, the floors were so sticky that our sneakers were actually sticking to the floors. I’ve never experienced anything like that. To top it off no food was available. We went to this venue for 720p movie. This is prime movie time , food should of been ready to go. All they were serving at that time was candies, soda and popcorn. Good points were, the ladies bathroom was clean. The chairs were outdated, but comfy. This was my first time and last time going to this theater. We enjoyed the movie though!
I love going to the movies. I and my husband had to see The Exorcist. It was a good to watch while eating popcorn with a cold Pepsi, and trust me, i was a little cold with the ac and lots of ice in my drink but it's cool I just went to the bathroom and threw out the ice and did not think to much about the actual as I had a sweater and light jacket and being focus on a legendary movie I was ok on walking out I made a mental note if am going to the movies in the fall tell them no ice. That being said, the workers are SUPER kind and patient. The theater and bathroom were clean, comfortable soft seats and lots of things for kids to do while waiting for or leaving after a movie. There is lots of parking covered and uncovered. The B44 bus is also close by. I will be back soon.
Just got kicked out of here because we caught a manager flirting with a subordinate. The female worker appeared to be uncomfortable. Once I called that manager out, he called Security Officer Travis and his manager Patricia and the other manager Sillhuete that is fine with the situation. This all happened because we bought a 1030pm ticket and was not allowed in. We came 10 minutes early and was told they’re cleaning. Which is fine. I came back 1030 and the supposedly manager was still flirting and not cleaning with the female worker and we wanted to get to our seats. I clapped my watch as it is time for us to sit down and he called security and the police. It appears that managers in regal are fine with managers taking advantage with their female staff.
I came to see you here movie ,,end of Halloween,, because my girl likes scary movie it’s so cool very clean so big polite workers I spend just $37 for 2 ticket one of adult one of child, but They don’t have so much food, they have a lot of drink popcorn but they menu has hot dog when I ask for hotdog she told me it would be take 45 min so we’re not doing, after that we just took popcorn chips for $27 which is easier, with enjoy the movie they have a lot of big parking lot is free, in the night time people will be more, Everybody bringing the child, there is also a lot of player for kids! Soon is Blak Adms coming we will go to it!
Movie theater has gone down the drain. This used to be a great theater! I want to chalk it up to it being on a day where the tickets were $4, but the entire place has become beyond ghetto. The theater we were in smelled like somebody had peed on the floor. Kids were running in and out the entire time. Somebody was throwing popcorn kernels throughout the entire movie. The only pleasant part was the young lady who took our food order. All the kids/teens running wild in the theater are rude as hell. This is one of the only theaters on this side of Brooklyn and it sucks that it’s gone to trash.
This was my first time here since the linden multi movie Theater is closed down. I f8nd that the seats weren't comfortable at all. I was waiting in line to get popcorn and drinks for over 25 mins. They only had two cashiers, and they were basically fetching the food and preparing the drink. It was outrageous. Then, midway during my popcorn, I found the reminder of the container to be a bit stale. As if they mixed or gave me was stale. I mean, it's the closest theater to me right now, which makes it convenient, but it's definitely will not be my first choice. But it
Nice theater that’s relatively clean. Cleaner then most. Our viewing theater had popcorn on the floor in our row and trash in the arm chairs our last visit. But the time before that it was really clean. Hallways and bathrooms have been really clean every visit. The staffs been nice , and friendly when we visited as well. Concessions were fresh and good despite the prices being the new normal. It’s a great theater with free parking too! Definitely go and support!
The worst theater I’ve ever been to. The seats were WET. We moved seats thinking maybe someone spilled their drinks or were really sweaty. No, all the seats we moved to were wet. It felt so gross. The speakers were blown out. We tried to get comped but the ticket boy said to wait until the movie started then see. Apparently this is a common problem. It was much less noticeable so we decided to sit through it. I will never come back. Disgusting.
Place smelled likestale urine. There was no ac in the movie theater it was very hot. Told a worker that it was very hot but they didn’t nothing. A lot of other people were also complaining that the ac wasn’t on. Place has become outdated. Needs updated seating, the theater should be clean properly. Also prices of tickets should be lower due to the poor service and experience compared to other movie theaters. Wish I could make it no stars.
Pretty spacious. People kept movie hopping and coming in and walking in front of the screen and no one did anything. Be weary that people here are annoying and no one does anything or doesn’t check cameras. The food is regular movie theater popcorn and soda. The cinemas all appear to be on the ground floor but you do need to take stairs to all the way up. I watched Priscilla here and had an ok time.
I've loved this theater since the 90's. Everyone has to play their part in its upkeep. Including patrons. If you drop popcorn or cheese sauce in the seats, be accountable and clean up or tell a staff member when you're leaving. This theater has consistently continued to upgrade and modernize their layout. It's actually Top-Notch status. KUDOS to Regal UA Sheepshead Bay! Keep doing what you do!
I mean, I enjoy going to the movies it's just that nowadays, movies don't have that surround sound anymore it's like you have to buy tickets for the rpx to get that feeling. The only thing I didn't like was the wait for my food it's a long wait. Other than that, I enjoy my timing there . Turn up the volume a little bit more so we can feel the sounds.
That movie theater needs to be under new management, floors were sticky, food was stale after a long wait of receiving it, it was in the evening with no crowd, what was the excuse, staff does not look happy to be there, not one staff member had a smile on their face, smh, I don't recommend that theater, that GOD I got my refund
Seating arrangement is nice, but as soon as the door opened it smelled sour, like sweat and urine. The arm rest was damp and the seats smelled which was unfortunate since the smell wafted up whenever you tried to let someone pass. Def giving my clothes and body a thorough wash. Tried it once and that was more than enough
As per usual the theater was nice. Clean. We went on a Tuesday and popcorn and the movie tickets were half price. Yay. We went to the Spiderman spider verse and it was excellent. We were worried that too many kids would be there and talk during the movie but again everything went great. An overall awesome day. …
The theater was nice enough. It was clean. Had to sit thru 15 mins of ads and then another 15 mins of previews. It was my first time there, I didn't know if the concessions offered combos on their snacks because my friend was charged for individually for popcorn, candy and drinks.
Wow, sounds or freedom was such an awesome movie. And at 12:00 noon it was the best time to go. The theater was clean, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. But I think they need to change that carpet because it smells horrible. Other than that keep up the great job.
"ZERO STARS"- I have been coming here for over 20 years and this theater went down the drain. My wife and I and a group of friends went to a 10PM showing and the experience sucked. It was hot, smelly and very filthy. Disgusted from this place. Will not be back!!
Very big movie theatre ,pretty clean , tons of parking available . Across the street is tgif, coldstone ice cream , and a nice Italian restaurant . It is also right off the highway and the corner has a deli and down the block is gas , great location .
Bathrooms were dirty and seats in theater were dirty. Just had a dirty feeling all around. I got up and left halfway through the movie I was anticipating to see months before :/ Also they were out of the icee/slushie drink at 12pm in the afternoon???
I HATE IT HERE! This is place is good & all for a movie theater. I've been coming here for longer than I can remember, so I was here before they added more screen rooms..... It's just really expensive! I can't stand how much the prices
Been there when the theater opened up in the Mid 80's Theaters are clean comfortable atmosphere is friendly a nice complex there's also parking the concessions are good a little pricey but are worth it a very nice place to see a movie
I will never go to that movie theater again. The place is nice and the manager is kind but I got bit by bed bugs a month ago. I was so afraid of bringing that back to my house. They need to shut this place down to clean out the bugs.
used to be my favorite theater but now it’s gross and i think the seats have bed bugs . it’s the reason i’m closing my regal unlimited account and am going to start to going to a cleaner AMC way out in the city
I used to love this thearter 25 years ago. Now its dirty and alot of trash walking around. Over priced tickets, only to not enjoy the movie. People screaming, sitting in flith and it smells like pot.
went here for the barbie movie, it was great! everyone was dressed in pink! the theaters are very clean and well air conditioned as well, so bring a sweatshirt with you as you might get cold!
Went to see a movie here in early August, 2023. It was absolutely filthy. The concourse that led to the theaters smelled of urine and the seats and arm rests were grimy. Will never go back.
Nice place to go to watch a movie with a love one or a friend bathrooms are very neat and clean games for you and the kids to play come and take a picture in the photo booth …
Friendly staff, tasty popcorn. Good quality screen picture and sound. Can improve a little on cleanliness ( but the customers were making a lot of mess). Overall, we had a good time!
Nice theater however only one person in the mornings to purchase tickets, much too slow for so many people. So it's a long wait. Purchase tickets ahead of time. Much better.
I don’t even want to give one star. This is the worst theater ever. Employees are rude and whole place smells like urine. It was so disgusting. I will never go there again.
Last weekend, our family went to see a movie together, and the staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. It's rare to encounter such good service in this city sometimes.
The only thing is that the elevator has been out of service for over 5mths. Difficult going up stairs. No elevators. Love the space in the theater.
Went fishing. 1 fish court during the whole day. The captain of the boat court was a beautiful strip bass. The sites we past were beautiful.
Always a blast visiting my favorite childhood theater. Go during off peak times! We saw They Live! via Fathom Events, such a good time:)
Went to see super Mario with my grandson there. Place is clean with many theaters room. The seat was not comfortable at all. To narrow.
Not very clean but if you wanna watch a movie and you don't mind spilled popcorn on the floor then this theater will do just fine.
I want to say thank you to a wonderful manager Ashley ❤️ she is very nice, helpful and easy to talk to. Thank you Ashley
Great theatre, clean, superb sound and good selection of food. Food stand is well staffed do the wait isn't long either.
Haven't been in a long while and I must say I Can't Complain.. Keep up the great work
Just great. Amazing experience. I will go to this theatre today too.
