I can't say I would willingly come back. Came here for the first time for an 11PM showing; we were told they were running behind and it would be a bit of a wait for the theater to be cleaned and prepped for our movie, which was fine. So we end up sitting at around 11:15PM. We go ahead and order; not even anything hot, just popcorn, a drink, and the brownie sundae which is discounted on Sundays. Others around us are ordering around the same time as well. Time passes, the movie starts, and we're about 45 minutes in when I notice everyone else has been served except us. I call to ask about our order, and am told by the staff member (who took my card to charge me btw!) that the kitchen closed and they didn't make our order and he just forgot to come tell us. Of course, we're confused as everyone else was served (some served hot food AFTER the time the kitchen supposedly closed!), but by that point I just wanted to leave it and enjoy the rest of the film. I was told my card wasn't charged, and that the staff member would come back with vouchers of some sort for a meal or ticket for the future, and I said fine. No one ever came back. I saw the same staff member as we were leaving the theater, he never said anything and simply looked away and continued his conversation with a co-worker. Well, alright then! I personally won't be back. On top of the bad service experience, the halls to get to the auditoriums smelled bad (like bathrooms that hadn't been cleaned in a few days), the carpets were dirty, and the bathrooms were poorly maintained as well. I guess the COVID regulations for cleanliness aren't enforced so strictly anymore. The young guy at the counter who sold us the tickets and kept us informed about the delay was really nice though! Too bad that he was the only good part (besides the movie itself, which was awesome).

This place gave us Movie Passes a couple of months ago, to compensate for a bad experience. The movie passes, come to find out, are only for older movies, and only if the film company allows passes. So, we did not use the passes. In addition, the bills (bar and food) have a gratuity of 18% automatically added to the bill. This seems to be a customary way of doing business in California, this is a California based company. I would prefer to tip in cash and decide my tip amount for myself, based on service performance. A gratuity should be earned, not entitled, and added gratuitously, not demanded. I normally would tip 25-30% (cash), but didn't in this case. Good service employees will not flourish here. With customer service here, less than satisfactory, it will continue to be so. Ordering tickets online is higher prices as well. We were at the theatre, and thought we would order tickets on the app rather than wait in line. Ticket prices are higher on the app, and a fee is added for processing. In my opinion, this place will be out of business soon. The chairs have malfunctioned each time we went. We have gone twice now. The first time, the chairs did not recline, and the second time our seat cushion fell off when getting up. We will not be back. Ya can't make this stuff up, it's bad.

It looks nice. Very fancy looking. Service is there but not good enough. My brother had ordered some fries and was waiting for them for quite a while. He got his drinks but never the fries. The movie started. Later on, worker came by asking everyone if they needed anything else because the kitchen was closing. So my brother reminded him about his fries that he never got. worker said “ok i’ll check with the kitchen on those.” and he never came back. I had to take a restroom break so when i went to the restroom, i talked to another worker about the situation and he said he could issue him a refund but he just needs a card, so i asked him if we could do the refund after the movie and he said it was fine. After the movie, i go looking for the man and he’s gone. EVERYONE IS GONE. Not a single soul and worker in sight. We tried going around everywhere so my brother could get his $12 expensive fry refund but nope. I had planned to call about it but never got the chance to. I would come again, but probably never order. The worker could’ve at least informed me that no one was going to be working by the time the movie ends. I know it’s a lot, but them workers should probabblllyyyy not steal our money.

Honestly I'm very disappointed in my experience here & won't be returning. I was told as soon as I purchased my tickets about an 18% gratuity that would be added to any food or beverages that I purchase. That was very off-putting to be the first thing I'm told before entering the theater. I got to my seats & the chair is broken, so I couldn't even recline. I ordered popcorn (which is the entire point of going to the movies) & was very upset, it was soggy & had the flavor of canola oil.. how can u mess up popcorn? I mean it's a movie theater. I paid 10$ for a kids portion of chicken & it came with a couple nugget sized pieces of chicken that actually weren't bad & literally less than 10 fries. & they charged me 50 cents for ranch when I literally ordered chicken. I'm sorry but when I order something that is supposed to be dipped into a sauce of some sort I feel I should be provided with at least one dipping sauce free of charge.. especially at that price. This place is honestly less than average & way over price. Just do yourself a favor & wait until the movie u want to see comes out on DVD. or just go to the movie tavern instead.

This new theater opened near our home in SW Fort Worth about a year ago or so. We have been there several times. The price per ticket is pretty standard. The theater itself is clean. They offer a small dining area with a bar for folks who would like to have a meal before their movie; though you can eat inside the theater. The staff are friendly, but the servers come off rushed being they only have enough time to get your orders before the show so don't take it personal; they work hard. Food prices to me are high for the same food at a restaurant plus they automatically charge an 18% gratuity. The taste is average. The portions are acceptable; maybe a bit small for the cost. They have a good serving system in place but it takes a very long time to prepare or receive, we ordered appetizers and waited 45 min. By the time it arrived my pretzel bites were cold and my nacho cheese congealed. My hubs had the veggie and hummus which he actually enjoyed, which says a lot for him. Overall, it's convenient, clean, and makes date night simple. We will be attending shows there again.

This theater was rather good. The food was surprisingly great, I did not expect it to be so good. I figured it to be subpar as it's mainly a movie theater. (I've been to a lot of theater/diners.) This was by far the best I've been too. The service wasn't too great, we had to wait til 10 after when it said our movie started to enter the theater our movie was showing in; as well as a great deal of time to get our food (probably 2 hours.) Had we not been watching a 3 hour plus movie, the experience may have been quite different. We were passed up several times despite being one of the first to press our service button. And they automatically add an 18% tip to your ticket. Which I didn't agree on, as the service was not worth perhaps a 5% tip. However that's to be expected when they know they are to receive an amazing tip no matter what. Despite all that, it was a pretty good experience.

Went to a special Galentines event. And this brand new theater was such a pleasure to be at. They have a very pretty bar area full with freakshow wines. Complimentary chardonnay was awesome!! I would definitely try more wine when not driving... There was a plenty of staff, everyone was super nice, helpful and courteous. All the staff wore masks. The reclining seats are pretty large to accommodate you and your bag lol i love to keep bag by my side on seat in a movie theater...the buttons on recliner were pretty quick and swift and the recliner seats were moving smooth... i felt very comfortable.... Theater was very clean especially the floors. And toilets are super clean, no paper towels to dry hands, they have hand dryer.. Ample of parking outside, and located close to nice shops if you plan to shop before and after movie.. Do go and try this theater...

So this is the best experience I’ve ever had The servers they work there butts off to get people there food and my food was delivered fast and efficient loved it and I’m seeing all these other reviews of 1 star of them not being happy with the food or the service well they need to understand that these guys and girls are working there butts off to make our experience the best and when we go on a busy weekend it’s gunna be busy so stop crying about it just have patience and about the 18% I think it’s a great idea it’s a way for the servers to make Money it’s helping them a lot and I’m glad that I’m tipping them extra cause it’s going to a good cause so guys at SMG at Chisholm trail keep up the great work and don’t let these 1 stars reviews keep you down AWESOME WORK

This was extremely disappointing. Brought my kids out to watch a movie with the family for my daughter's birthday. First half the seats actually worked. I had to sit a couple away from my kids because that was the only option when I told me l my server. Then they didn't have everything on the menu for my drink. Then the drink I ended up ordering was horrible. I got a manager and told him everything and he brought me a mudslides on exchange for the nasty one. Not of course that's where it ended. My family still has to sit apart. You spend so much on tickets and everything for your family and you can't even sit together. Some birthday for my daughter. Not a place to bring your family of you want to sit with them. Especially if you have little kids.

Really disappointed in this place went to watch the little mermaid I chose this movie theater specially so we can eat and enjoy our movie however we waited an hour to get our food and had to bug the servers just to get our food and they advertised that the kitchen was back up. If a movie theater who serves food can’t handle serving food in a Matter time they have no business serving food. Also the price of the meals were ridiculously high for chicken tenders and French fries. My drink was served 10 min after wewe ordered and our meal an hour after. The restrooms were disgustingly dirty and customer service was not great horrible experience I will not be returning. And adding gratitude to our check with no customer service is not okay.

I've gone here twice. I thought it would be a nice place to take my granddaughter since it's close to her house. The first time, I was shocked to see an 18% mandatory gratuity that I was not told about. I'm used to automatical gratuity on large parties, but I was not expecting this. The food was ok and my granddaughter enjoyed herself so I didn't complain. The second time I saw the gratuity sign which could easily be missed. I ordered dessert and it never came. It was just an ok experience, but I probably won't be back especially because I don't think taking an order and bringing it out with barely any communication deserves 18% automatically.

Great place to chill and watch movies. The seats were nice and service was good. Only bad experience I had was the food. You charged $15 for 5 flats (there aren't even any drums for some reason?) and carrot/celery sticks. I thought a pound of wings would be a lot more than 5 that but wow I felt cheated. I was really looking forward to trying this place out but the fact I paid that much and got so little back. I just recommend you don't get wings here for $15 and just go to wingstop to get 15 wings for $17 if you plan to want to eat wings. Besides that, everything was good. The food and the price just made me feel offsetting and disappointed.

We love their sensory movies!!!! They are so beyond kind to our families and I mean it is great. They loose a star because the food is beyond expensive for what you get. This last time our card got hacked. Our popcorn had butter so my son couldn’t eat it even though we told them no. The food was just a huge let down for 50 dollars . Which last month it was 35 for popcorn and drinks and drinks and attitude . So we are grateful for the sensory showing, even though TMNT we couldn’t hear and voiced it many times , many did. So take into consideration the movie and machines that are there and address volume

This was our first time to this theater. The one we usually use has become dirty and nasty. I had read a ton of reviews of this theater before we went, so I knew of the 18% gratuity before hand and did see the sign before walking into the movie. I agree that is a large "Required" gratuity... I will say the staff was very nice, speedy and clean. The food was okay... I mean they aren't a restaurant but it was clean! Bathrooms were clean, comfortable seating (though my husband would have wanted the seat back to recline more). I enjoyed the movie and especially the cleanliness! I will be back!

Worst experience at a movie theater of my entire life. Overpriced and terrible food and even worse service. Server charged us an outrageous price gave no receipt and then the staff couldn’t locate the server after very rudely questioning the validity of our order. About blew a gasket on these people and I’m usually very patient and cool headed. Then they acted like I was going to be violent and had at least half their staff roaming the halls while I was making my concerns known. Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. I’d be surprised if they last 6 more months.

I moved to Fort Worth, from Carrollton, I was thrilled to find a Studio Movie Grill close by. I was truly impressed by everything. I thought the one in the Colony, though semi new was nice, but the one at Chisholm Trail beats them hands down. The theater, every seat reclines, the service, and the food. Yes, everything was more expensive, but then everywhere is. Yes, life is not perfect, you will have bad experiences, but roll with them. Chisholm Trail SMG is my new movie hangout spot, they're worth it.

Saturday was my sisters bday. So we all decided to go the movies to see Lil Mermaid. Get to our seats pushed the button server comes and I order two small and one large popcorn. THEY HAD NO POPCORN!! Like how does a movie theater not have POPCORN!?!?!? That’s like going to Popeye’s and they out of chicken!!!! Like seriously!!!! Walmart is right around the corner someone could have been sent to get some. First time coming to this location and probably will be my last.

I went there for the 1st and probably only time last weekend for John Wick 4. I ordered popcorn with a small drink, pretty simple considering that the place wasn't packed. I got my drink right away, and that was it. I called for a server since I paid for hot buttered popcorn with extra butter. The server didn't know anything about it but ran to get my order, a bowl of very old, cold stale popcorn. It was a 3hr show with nothing to munch on.

Not sure what the burger was made of. Was not offered a choice, but later learned it could of been beef or turkey. Didn't taste like meat at all. Ordered burger, it came with a side. When I was offered fries or onion rings, he didn't mention extra 3.25 for onion rings. . Quite pricey for a burger of unidentified meat and 5 onion rings. 18.50 total. Also paid 1.00 extra for cheese. Next time we will just eat before going to the show.

About tonight, our greatest experience was with Armando.... Cool bartender excelente drinks and friendly chat while the movie is going to start. VERY BAD THING.... seats! They are not working... we were 4 ppl, and 2 of the seats don't work. I have been here 3 times now, and 2 of the times they never brought me the food and drinks we had ordered. I called the runners back multiple times and each time was told "I will go check the kitchen" and they never returned. This is on top of the food being super expensive. With this service that never brings the food, you get a mandatory gratuity of I believe 18%. Then you can choose to give more.

Seats are very comfortable. Service was very good. The speaker on the left side of the theater near row G was blown which really took away from the experience. The surcharge on all food orders was disappointing to see. Why not increase the already overinflated prices? Maverick got me back into the theater but the overall experience ensures that I will be waiting for the DVD release for future films.

Read a lot of bad reviews before going here. I must say I think they’re listening. My food was good (although I did get sick later, hopefully not food poisoning -got taco salad) and the portion size was great. Person I was with enjoyed their food as well. Delicious funnel cake sticks. No issues with my seat. Theater was a bit small but that didn’t bother me. Staff was courteous and helpful.

If you want a place that has absolutely no pride in their work then come here. No frozen margaritas just mildly chilled ones. Included 18% gratuity because no one would ever tip for the service here. Carrots that are so old and dry you'd think they were left in a food dehydrator. And then they'll hand you an obviously broken straw for your non frozen frozen margarita. Embarrassing

Been coming here since it opened and must say I'm disappointed now. Came to see guardians of the galaxy 3, our seats didn't work, the waiter said that's normal. We tried 5 different areas and out of every 5 seats 2 didn't work till we found 5 good ones together. The theater was hot we brought it up to the waiters attention and he said there's nothing they can do.

My only complaints were they have Pepsis and not Coke, and the seats aren’t as wide, and don’t recline enough. Other than that the theater and bathrooms were very clean, staff was friendly. Also, the food at SMG is still levels above other movie eateries. I recommend the chicken nachos. They automatically add an 18% gratuity so tipping is convenient.

The movie was great, the staff is good, but the theaters really need some updating. All of the chairs have some kind of mechanical issue, there is notable debris on the screens themselves, and the bathrooms were not kept. Our waitress made the joke "better than AMC", but sadly we'd rather GO for the quality. Please fix! We love SMG!

BE CAREFUL WITH CHARGES!!! Used to love going here. Last visit, however, food bill was about $140, including their gratuity plus extra. To my surprise, 2 days later bank account showed charge was about $336!!! Tried a few times to get in touch but received no response. Escalated to my bank who is now taking care of on my behalf.

Theater wasn't ready when we showed up 5 minutes early but not too long of a wait. I am NOT a fan of their billing procedures. Takes to long for accurate charge to post to my accounts and automatic tipping is stupid. All that does is incentivize customers not to tip and robs your employees of their potential.

Was hoping for a great experience in this relatively new theatre, but was disappointed. Theater chairs were broken. We were the first to arrive in the movie theater and order before the show. We waited an hour for our food to arrive and longer for the drinks (2 teas and a water.) We will not go back.

I came in just for some popcorn. Don't Ask me why I didn't just pop some in the microwave... Guess how long it took? If you guessed less than an hour, you are wrong. Then, when I asked for a refund so I could leave, the manager didn't even do it right and I never got the refund.

Not sure why the bad reviews. We went for the first time tonight and had a great experience. The food and drinks came quickly and the popcorn was amazing (extra buttery). The employees were great. My husband and I were very pleased with our experience. We will be back!

Service was not there huge failure. Step up management. They Got our order wrong. Made excuses for why they brought the wrong thing 2 times. Theater was not cleaned until minutes before the show started. The young people working there need adult supervision.

First visit (Tuesday Special). Ordered tickets online. Food was good. However, Movie Tavern is a lot cheaper. On Tuesdays they have specials on tickets and food. No booking fee and no 18% Gratuity. With everything getting so expensive Movie Tavern is better.

Overall experience was great, service & movie/amenities. The food however was dreadful.. sliders were dry & the chili lime chicken was way over cooked & tough. Best thing to eat was the popcorn. We will be eating prior to watching another movie next time.
