When I reported my child endured bodily harm from another child the police officer asked me for evidence in the form of x-ray. He was not even slightly concerned like an assault was just a normal occurrence in Yarra Ranges. (Is it) vulnerable children and mothers should be protected but it is opposite they are being destroyed physically, mentally and emotionally. Police know we are vulnerable but chooses to support criminals! When my house was burgled I had to wait 20min before police arrived. I understand that BPS is only part-time, but as I sat there with my new born who was sick, it was distressing. Once police arrived they were attentive and empathetic. The forensic team then arrived, and were less caring. Overall, an average responce from VicPol.
