This is a pretty nice open space to get a perfect glimpse of the fireworks with so much seating areas in the park & surroundingthe park to choose from. Some seating areas if you arrive early enough allow you to sit so close to the gate where you can actually see the fireworks shooting out from the cannons. Only thing I do not enjoy is the same off key singer who sings live every year‍♀️although the band is always on point & the flying roaches coming from the grass especially once fireworks begin‍♀️

Nice open park with lots of open area. It houses the world's record Monopoly board printed and cement as per Guinness Book of World Records. There are also some cool statues that you could sit on or pose next to. The negative side to this area is there are a lot of homeless people sleeping in the Guadalupe River embankment area. Kids should definitely stay away from that area as there are a lot of needles and other bad things happening around there.

Part of the Children's Museum. My granddaughter, aged 4, loved it. Children can explore to their hearts' content! There's a big "tree" with walkways and a tree house. How to get out? Take the sliding board!! Next, go play in the pea gravel and sand. Build a sand castle! Explore the paths in the flower garden and look at the beautiful vegetables growing.

Perfect place for a morning or evening stroll. Large open field, and don't forget to visit the animal sculptures and the giant monopoly board. Walk towards to edge of the park where the small footpath crosses the stream. Watch out for airplanes flying overhead, great for photos. Afternoon can get quite hot in the uncovered areas.

This is located in downtown San Jose. The green lawn is used for various summer festivals which happens in San Jose. There is a Monopoly in the park. I have attended San Jose Renaissance Fair which was held in this park. It was an interesting to attend, you can see folks with costumes.

We attended 76th India Independence Day celebration here on 08/12. It was well organized and lots of activities for kids and adults. Dance and singing contestants were pretty good. There were fun activities for kids as well. Overall we enjoyed food and fun activities here.

Went here for the 4th of July fireworks, it is not to be missed especially if you have to make last minute plans. Quaint place in San Jose downtown, well connected by VTA and close to Children's Discovery Museum, Civic center and various local pubs and restaurants.

Just like the Monopoly board which really could use a new layer of painting, the park itself could really use some refreshment. The decoration is pretty old and not in line with the city’s nice and modern look. Also could use some trees and more benches to sit on.

  • Michelle Dungjen

Really disappointing to see a child in a wheelchair whose only option is to watch the other children explore. If only the activities were accessible to children with disabilities. Only a few things are accessible.

This picture is of happier days of course. It's still a very nice area, a beautiful meadow near a river.. very seldom used by anyone though since presently the Children's Discovery Museum remains closed.

This park is huge and WAY under utilized. I am not sure why more fitness related groups are not using this space to practice and have fun. Great place for a jog, picnic, and to walk!

  • Vikram Raghuvanshi

We went there to celebrate India’s Independence Day. The association has organized the event really well! Kudos to the entire team! ✌ …

The new outdoor space at the Children's Discovery Museum is great and the stacking planks are just what a budding builder needs to create big structures. …

  • Diana Pohle

Great downtown park for events. Easy access from light rail. Wouldn't visit without an organized event due to drug use and sketchy characters near Guadalupe.

They have monthly activities and programs for kids, adults also enjoy very much and learn together. During vacations is very crowded but still fun to visit.

  • David Aguirre

Went to the San Jose Ren Faire at this park. Great ren faire in a nice area, although there arent many trees, so it was very hot. Always a nice park though.

Attended the San Jose Renaissance Faire on Sunday afternoon. This park is just the right place to hold such events. Enjoyed my visit.

  • GRR

Nice park. There is a Monopoly game painted on a cement slab and the pieces are available, although I don't know how to get to them.

  • Lily Yee

Seemed desolate and neglected. Not much to do there except what you'd bring yourself. Dry, brown grass crying out for a little TLC.
