"When one phone the police, you expect compassion, understanding and for the officers to have a basic right understanding of the law? Unfortunately the officers that attended to assist, admitted they primarily dealt with roadside vehicle offences"
"The police officer's comprehension was poor, im rly tired about the police asking the same kind of questions every time, completely dont know the my real situation"
"Our police deserve far more appreciation and recognition for everything they do to keep us safe! Totally agree with what Geoffrey said below"
"What a disgusting display of lack of understanding, having the audacity to tell me to "next time call Caulfield before Moorabbin as they're closer" - calling to report a domestic, and a young female constable found it more appropriate to tell me off for calling them than making a priority of the task at hand"
"OMG! I swear I should be employed to offer help, feedback and to notify them that if i was able to speak out"
When one phone the police, you expect compassion, understanding and for the officers to have a basic right understanding of the law? Unfortunately the officers that attended to assist, admitted they primarily dealt with roadside vehicle offences. This shouldn’t be an excuse for them to make poor decisions, without proper knowledge! I appreciate that low educational standards are acceptable to join the police force, but ignorance isn’t as excuse for not providing correct support! I appreciate this review won’t change matters, nor Be taking seriously, particularly as there is a shortage in police hiring, but something needs to change as currently the criminals have all the power and victims are left to deal with the after effects. Though it would appear that easy offence are taken seriously, such as drivers travelling 2km over the speed limit, as no additional paperwork is required, nor compassion to victims! - I guess that’s why the hidden red light cameras and speed cameras are increasing. Less Police required on the streets to be available for the general public, its easy revenue for the state and private corporations, and no paperwork required!
The police officer's comprehension was poor, im rly tired about the police asking the same kind of questions every time, completely dont know the my real situation. Every time tell me some information repeated that anyone with eyes would know, and then had to terminate the investigation, when in fact he had never conducted an investigation from beginning to end, and had not even read the documents. The police department kicks the can down the road in all sorts of ways, and I have lost count of how many departments I have given the different polices to tell what happened, several documents and information that I need to repeat over and over again. Extremely inefficient and impotent.
Our police deserve far more appreciation and recognition for everything they do to keep us safe! Totally agree with what Geoffrey said below. It's a stressful and high-risk job. Those of us who aren't working in this field have no idea of what it's truly like - all the crazy work hours & traumatic experiences they must deal with on the daily. I have never had a bad experience with the police at Moorabbin Police Station before. If anything, from what I've seen, they're incredibly understanding, kind, brave, helpful and hard-working! Special thanks to the 2 Constable Bens :)
What a disgusting display of lack of understanding, having the audacity to tell me to "next time call Caulfield before Moorabbin as they're closer" - calling to report a domestic, and a young female constable found it more appropriate to tell me off for calling them than making a priority of the task at hand. Time is of the essence if your job is to protect vulnerable people. If the Victorian Police can't work out why they're not taken seriously, they need to take a look at themselves.
OMG! I swear I should be employed to offer help, feedback and to notify them that if i was able to speak out. ..I'd get a permanent position in the firing squad, a class action going to prove 1000 counts of negligence, corruption, fraud deception etc in a huge litigation Case Ms Melinda Riley
Repeatedly report shoplifters at my place of work, complete with descriptions, footage, everything we can get. Can't even get these folks to send anyone. Never get any feedback or closure on any cases. No faith in you folks.
I dealt with Officer Max today who was very kind and seemed like he really cared and wanted to help. Although we couldn’t get far with the issue he explored all avenues and gave me advice. Thanks Constable Max.
Instead of sitting on the side of Glenhuntly road catching people doing illegal u turns so you can meet your quota for the day. You guys might gain some more respect if you actually did some real police work.
