This is the worst petsmart in the city. We wanted to buy a parakeet and called them before leaving the house and told them about the enclosure that we had at home for the bird.. they told us that we didnt have to bring the enclosure with us and they can give the bird to us in a box. The moment we got there they refused to sell us the bird because according to them the enclosure that we had wasnt big enough. Its ironic that the one that we had was the same size as what they had put the bird in. And when we told them ..all that they had to say was “ well, i cant give the bird to you today unless you buy another cage from us today “. And when we spoke to the manager Samuel ..without even listening to us he said he support whatever his associate told us. We are animal lovers and We dont want to distress the bird either..all that i wanted was them to provide us the same info over the phone as that could have saved us a 30min drive. Also, The funny part is that some of their hamsters had nowhere to hide . And the fishes were kept under direct light. This location is joke !! Im never goong back to this location again.

Also, the grooming store at this location is great, we always love seeing the dogs through the windows!

We went to purchase a lizard for my daughter and me and my husband a d my girl have medical conditions prevent us from wearing masks. The manager came over and asks us to have one, we explained that we have medical condition and he looked at us like all of you!!! Can I see the medical note!! I told he has no right to ask us for that eventhough I have them but there is no obligation says I need to show it! He was skeptical and let us finish what we are there for but to be honest I don't want to step back there because if you can't handle your customers and understand the bylaws don't expect them to come back. Any how we bought our beautiful beard dragon ploto and she is sooo cute. I never expected I would like lizards but she is super sweet

The first time we went to have our dog groomed she came back with a severe rash that required veterinary care. After seeing the vet we went back to petsmart, with our vet bill and told a reluctant manager what had happened. After about two months of unreturned phone calls and unsuccessful visits to recover our expenses they eventually came through. The staff was friendly enough but the manager was very evasive. We found a good groomer but unfortunately lost her after a while and decided to try petsmart again. She came back again with another rash, that has now turned into a fungal infection that we have not been able to cure since December. Again petsmart having been given the vet bills is not responding.

I took my dog into the Beacon Hill location for her grooming appointment today and encountered the worst customer service ever. After several years of taking my dogs here and buying all my pet supplies here I won’t be back! I drove from Airdrie to Calgary and got delayed at the railway crossing in Balzac for 15 min. I arrived late for my appointment and was told I would have to rebook!!!!!!!! I explained what happened but they still refused. The girl I booked the appointment with was still finishing another dog so was not even ready for my dog! This is the last straw in a list of booking issues I have encountered here, including having the dogs nicked on several occasions! Don’t take your dog here!!

terrible service today. Bought some worms for my beardie (I normally order them online) The girl that was the reptile area was less than impressed that I wanted worms before she could put them out on display. "well, I just go them in ..." ... and I want 10 thanks, I'll wait. then proceeded to take them out of the container they were in and put them in a bag of air like they were gold fish. weird. I'll order from the wormlady from now on. cheaper, and you get a container with worms and some food for them.

We took our pet for beginner's training with Gayle. Our experience with Gayle has been very positive. Each and every class, she takes her time to discuss with all pet owners to ensure all questions are answered. I love how Gayle always has a great suggestion to address and explain certain unwanted behaviours. Overall, I am very satisfied with the training we have received and will definitely recommend the training to any pet owners who need some help with training his or her pet.

Taylor was absolutely wonderful, willing to help me as soon as I walked in the door. However, he asked a simple question to Sylvia to help me find something, who responded back in quite an undermining way that I did not appreciate- If she's a manager or somebody in charge of training I would be concerned, fellow employees should feel comfortable asking questions to someone in a higher position without the fear of being made to look silly for asking a simple question.

Crazy guy, I want to buy some goldfish, he asked a lot of questions, that took me 20 minutes, I feed my fish long time. They are alive. I know how to feed them. And I also tell him. At last, he didn’t sell fish to me. You know he ask me that question like policeman ask some bad guy. That make me uncomfortable. I won’t go here to buy anything. That waste my time. It seems like I persuade him selling fish to me. I wish you can get your fish if that guy was happy.

Wife and I have been going here for years for our dogs food. Went in the other day and they were out (first time ever) but they did have the smaller bag. Price per pound on those is substantially more. Brad was awesome, heard us talking and offered to give us the smaller bag at the bigger bag price per pound. He didn't have to do that but Brad did. The service we received was exceptional. Thanks Brad! We will NEVER shop elsewhere. After that, why would we?

Angie grooms both of my pups and always does a great job. They are always excited to see her and she always takes the time to give them cuddles during check in. My older dog has issues with his skin, Angie always gives him extra care and takes the time to make sure the clippers don’t make contact with his skin. These things make all the difference with him and I really appreciate her trying new things to help him. Angie is the best!

The grooming appointment was cancelled because I was 10 min late. I called to let them know I was running late because of the heavier then usual traffic. They said ok over the phone and rejected us in person. The groomer's name was Nicole. I wish I read the reviews before going there. There are tons of stories like this about Beacon Hill PetSmart. P.S. There is no "10 min rule" in their Terms of Service

Had to return a long crate mat today as our 5m old border Collie puppies had chewed a hold through it. Their warranty allows it to be exchanged for a new one within 2 months. Went in, they found the receipt in their system, I got a new one and they processed the replacement. All good. Gentleman at the cash new exactly what to do and it was a quick in and out with the new matt. Thanks guys.

I love this pet store. They carry Inaba Churu which is like “crack” for cats (and cheaper than Amazon offers it). The staff is helpful, the store is clean and the product range is very good. They were the only store I could find in the city that carried the "Mother/Newborn" cat food I needed. Petsmart offers cat adoptions. I love looking at the fish and reptile sections as well.

All the grooming staff I spoke to was super kind and helpful. They were able to clip my frenchie puppy’s nails super quickly without issues. My frenchie HATES nail trims and is super squirmy and thrashes around when I try at home. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched how easily they were able to get it done with minimal freaking out from her end.

Zero star! I don’t have energy to write again! Don’t use their pet services! The picture speaks for itself! We agreed on the longest hair and she called me to get authorization to go A BIT SHORTER! She looks a different puppy! First experience for her and she lost all hair coat!!! I cannot tell how angry I am! Told her I like her to be fluffy!!

Worst nightmare to try for the first time for grooming and what it turns out?!! Sending to emergency with cut and end up for surgery to cut the toe. Its very traumatic for seeing my daughter cry so bad and seeing my pup with worst haircut ever! I would not recommended 100%. How I wish I could leave reciew without any star! Not even 1star.

Very frustrated with this place. Called last weekend they said the cat groomer is only there on Saturday. Ok I call Saturday they say call Sunday you will get in without an apt so I call & the cat groomer is in.but they say don’t cut nails… on Sunday. None of them are on the same page. So done with Petsmart groomers! If they are not shaving my dogs raw they are clipping their nails to the quick. Brought them in for a pawdicure today and after dinner noticed blood all over the floors and my rugs. Poor guy !! Will never bring my dogs there again. So done. Wish I could post a picture!

Was at this place 2 weeks ago fish staff very rude and sold me sick fish , 50.00 6 tiny fish that died in a week, I should have known by looking at there dirty tanks, I used to trust this place for fish but I will never go back there and it’s so expensive there .. petland it is from now on

Staff are friendly, but the aquarium section could be better kept. Although I'm pretty sure it's mostly due to company policy. Pisces and petland are way better options for your aquarium needs. The only upside is that they usually have bamboo shrimp in stock when others do not

Repeatedly tried to order online from products in stock at this location. On phone, laptop, iMac. Over and over today and in months past I keep getting denied when not one single issue ordering at any other business ever. We order most of our gifts online. Finished trying.

Pet Smart Beacon hills - poor service. Managers are not helpful forget about staff. Paid for the full grooming service for my dog and did not get the worth of it. Got my pet home with no satisfaction. They refused to help when we were there addressing the issue.

Store is clean and doesn't have any odors as you enter the store like many other pet stores(especially the big ones). Staff is truly interested in animals. Fish are well cared for and not just sold to make money. They want to know your tank is ready first.

Brought my dog in for grooming with the vaccine card showing that she had her rabies shot with the date and signature of the veterinarian and it wasn’t accepted. Been to pet boarding and everywhere else you could imagine and everyone else accepts it.

Brought my standard golden doodle here for his first grooming experience. Max is a high energy 11 month old pup who is very cautious and hesitant when it comes to new things. Brooklyn was super caring and gentle to make him feel at ease.
