Lost my luggage in the boot of one taxi in front of Crown Casino taxi rank. I called both biggest taxi company(13 cabs & silver top taxi) reporting the issue. As I finally ended up travelling with another cab, in stead of travelling with the cab that I left my luggage, so I didn't have any taxi invoice to track the cab. Both the taxi company advised me to report to the nearest police station, which is Southbank Police Station. The police officer who I reported with is Constable Davie, he is not really interested in helping. All I need is trying to contact with Crown Casino to review the footage because there are many cameras in place where it happened, Constable Davie said no since I only lost a luggage?? He just doesn't want to be bothered I recon. I got my luxury brand shoes, dresses, skincare products, make up case, and my home keys, mail box key, car key etc in my Samsonite carry-on luggage. that's all added up to nearly $5000 dollars, and he just told me i lost one thing that is not going to be bothered to help. i don't understand why we the tax payer pay money to government to having the police officer here and they just don't want to do anything. I contacted with the lost and found department of Crown Casino, those staffs are all pretty nice, i can felt that they are all really willing to help me to review the footage because that's not a big deal, it is just so easy to track the rego number of the cab that i lost my luggage in. But the only thing is me myself do not have the right to ask casino to review the footage for privacy purpose. Casino advised me to speak with one of the police officer, and they definitely can look into it for me straight away. While as I mentioned, police office is not willing to help. So I called Southbank Police Station again to beg the officer to give a call to the control room to authorise casino to review the footage. I spent one hour to beg police officer to help me giving a call to Casino!!! Casino found the taxi and got the rego, again, they could only forward the rego number to Southbank Police Station. I called to Southbank Police Station, while they said, "Vanessa, I can't find any info about this cab, I don't know who is the driver and I don't have any contact number of this cab. i think i have done what i can do. " I mean.....we could contact VicRoad to get the contact number of the driver, couldn't we??? How hard it gonna be for them to do their job We, the residents, wouldn't bother you guys MY DEAR BUSY POLICE OFFICER. BUT WHEN WE NEED HELP, WE JUST FEEL ISOLATED AND NOT BEING HELPED. WHAT IS YOUR MISSION TO BE A POLICE? lucky me. I told my colleague, he has a friend who is working as a victoria police in melbourne. His friend asked a few questions and looked into this case, he couldn't even find any report on their system , he advised that the guy who I spoked with (Constable Davie) didn't even log the issue, that's why i don't even have a case number or reference number, while he told me that he had done all he could do for me!! BTW, half of the job is done by myself, i went to Crown Casino to report lost and talked with their lovely staff. Constable Davie is just an agent who forwards the rego number to me! he didn't even look up the rego!! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH SOUTHBANK POLICE STATION! I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY ARE EXIST? FOR DOING NOTHING? WHEN PEOPLE NEED HELP??? ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED!! I WILL JUST PRAY TO THE GOD THAT I WILL NEVER EVER HAVE SOMETHING HAPPEN CUZ POLICE WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Lost my documents patch while trying to ask police about diraction They said we are getting late u take out your adress and stand here till we come back I was strugling to check the adress paper when I see them going I took out my laptop pouch and keep aside to find adress but they went away I ask another passer by at that time I remember near by hotel name they show me path when I start walking I reach around 15meter I have seen police I didn't bother to return to them back and keep walking next day I realise I forget pocket potch there only so rang to police they pass on to another police but he was very rude he first said what is your name when I try to give my surname he said he dont understand come here to complain I said dont hang on me I am repeating he said so many word rudly and before I ask which police station he hang up on me this is 4th incident I rang Victoria Police and they hang up phone on me no 1it was very lonely street 8pm in night that's while I was in penic but they were 5 officers insted of helping they said we don't have time u stop us in middle of going to duty we cant wait for long in penic they will go away I didn't knee what I was doing I try to find adress I forgot my pouch there and they came back behind me place where I was stranding so no one else was there and when I rang to inquire officer hang on me may be I was migrrant that's while I got. Such treatment very disapointing.

Car was stolen And found abandoned Knew the culprit was wanted for numerous other car thefts with an article on his severe hooning in bogan newspaper The bogan only served 9 months out now and and smiling on facebook Im still without a car! Sucks ESPECIALLY after the Melbourne rampager He was nabbed but I never called back for a statement Not sure who's fault the time served is but he waa a repeat offender on the run and felt so Entitled to take my car with no regard to a lady needing a mode of transportation for work and life in general Trashed the car and I'm now feeling very unsafe Only went to Southbank because prahran police ignored my report of a theft from my storage cage even though that loser eas wanted on crimestoppers I still have his mugshot and dates corresponding Wrote to the corruption bureau re that They said it sounded very odd Maybe prahran was busy that day! Then did nothing Calling ASIO now to query who you can call for help as a single women living alone! Cos the police don't help In a nutshell How Pathetic! And we pay them for protection not dismissal on legitimate crimes It Sucks Lucky my uncle is a high court judge ! He'll help me! Was his family getting rorted after all! So stupid I'm now worried and wasting time on a Sunday afternoon

I rang 000 because this guy was following me, staring at me, and I felt threatened. Someone (male) called me from this station telling me that police would not be attending because he didn't think police were required. I do my reporting for bail to this station. I go when I am supposed to and because I do the right thing it makes me an easy target as arresting me is easy because I report for bail. So the police know where I will be and what days. Southbank police station is a temporary structure.......kind of like a portaloo. There is a police station in South Melbourne that is a permanent structure, maybe they should all work there instead.

I rang there about my missing wallet I misplaced on Wednesday and the man on the phone said “no wallet found today” and he said “we’ll contact you if we find it.” And I was like how will you contact me without my name or phone number or any personal information about me??? It’s just that I didn’t feel any sense of security about the fact that if they find it, it will be returned back to me.

So many cars parked all over the area, almost always parked illegally. They have their own parking spots but still take up public parking spaces, or parked illegally in no standing zones. They parked right on the corner of intersections it makes it dangerous to drive around the area. Always scared I’ll hit some one/get hit by some one because when I pull out I can’t see down the road.

I dial this station for over 5 minutes before anyone picked up the call. The fella on the other end (Nick) wasn't particularly helpful and was in a hurry to hang me up when i inquired about losing a bunch of house keys, saying they don't do those.

These folk in particular are doing especially heavy lifting for our beloved Victoria Police. I'm proud to be a resident here in South Melbourne but by goodness I know it's not the most orderly of places, to put it lightly. Carry on righteously!

It takes one police officer to stuff up the rating of this police station. " too busy .. too much work to do to answer your question. " this is not ok mate !

My phone was handed in to this Police Station. Michael was very helpful and polite and we picked up the phone without a problem thanks so much.
