My suitcase got stolen the night before I was flying. Other than getting a report, which wasn't written properly (no details about the stolen items even though I spent 40 minutes over the phone), no one from this police station bothered to call or check the scene even though I reported the case within 10 min it got occured betweeen Clyde Street and Alfred Place. I understand the cops can have more important matters. However, the way they speak ("you just finished reporting to a police assistance line, why calling the police station?", as if reporting itself is solving the issue). I only called the police to get a proper document to re-issue my passport since it got stolen! I visited this police station in-person. There were cops behind the closed the doors behind the reception. However, no one was at the reception. No one bothered to care. I lost my laptop, camera, wallet, passport, identification, external drive with so much data, gift, new clothes, purse and more. Losing all of that was shocking and unbelievable. Dealing with St Kilda Police Station was even more unbelievable. I wanted to move to St. Kilda. It concerns me about moving here because I know the police here will not help people who need their help. That's been my experience here :'(
I don't know what they are doing, I had one incident today. one guy want money from me,I denied him so, he punch 3 time on my car window. so, I scared and called cop , I wait for 15 miniutes no one come. I called again. I just wait and follow that guys. then one lady called me you leave the place we talked them ..etc. they came but that 2 guys went. so, and police didn't entertain properly. I think they are waiting for happen big incident then they react. they didn't talked that 2 guys so, they are doing again tomorrow. please keep in mind that big incident come from small incident. please help people time to time.
On a Sunday morning my boyfriend was sitting outside our flat and a random person walked past and punched him in the face. We called the police who did not come to us as they said they would and also didn't care to call us and tell us that they would not be attending. Now on 2 more occasions we have required their assistance as we have extremely rowdy neighbours who play loud music and hold parties until 5am on any given day. They take our call but nothing happens. I am going out of my mind as i can not sleep and do not know what else I can do as i can't get past the gate to speak with the neighbours myself.
Was called up to make report of an assault, went there no one was attending people walking in, sat there for around 30 mins and was told about someone taking report shortly after long wait and lady police officer popped with tons of makeup on face and looking like a teen girl going for night out. I told her about incident and after having no idea about which officer called me for taking report. she left saying another officer will help you out. Waited there again for around 15-20 mins and no one showed up and then I left. No dedication and desire to help community at all. Such a bad experience.
Most of the time when I've been here for general enquiries,I've received decent service. Once of course I didn't! I've the upmost respect for the police re the hard job they do & how much "negative publicity" they keep copping(excuse the pun!)but on 1 occasion I felt they must've been having "a bad day" as they didn't seem to understand my question as they were going off track & it was starting to feel as if they were borderline rude> But despite this 1 not-so-good experience all the others have been all good.
These guys are a joke !!! Starting from the condescending tone of the duty officer to whom we where blessed to converse with for the purpose of obtaining monetary funds which had to be returned then discovered they had lost it !! They call us to tell of the funds return to then discover they know nothing about it nor of its whereabouts..... my only conclusion is theft from within.7
An exceptional service provided by their officers. I was very gently placed in cuffs which I'm grateful there was no residual marks. Their transport cars are actually really really comfortable, and really roomy. I had heaps of leg space. Overall, very professional. I will definitely be arrested by them again, for sure.
To Lauren Liberty, I dont for a moment believe your story actually happened. I had a look at your profile and all you seem to do is complain abut everything. Seek some counselling darling the world isnt as horrible a place as you make out. Also, Im a local and St Kilda Police are nothing but professional and helpful.
Great place of work, helpin and protectin the public and a fair challenge while fightin home grown terror at the same time. Its a bugger flyin in from Israel then back but its a job i love. Australia is great. Good onya mates.
Yet again, poor customer service accompanied by rudeness and attitude. Why is it like this ? I really don't think the Police like 'helping'. the situation appears to be 'not in their aisle'
Police in general around Melbourne are appalling. So bad that sometimes it’s better not to call them. I was assulted a couple weeks back, called the police and they didn’t show all day.
Reported a crime on the phone and was treated with respect and efficiently. Also impressed with the current police presence at StKilda beach. Well done for making me feel safe.
Multiple requests have been made to retrieve my belongings under a safety notice and the excuse I get given is "sorry, there aren't any units available" Seriously?!
Reported physical domestic violence with screams and tears - showed up after 50m and several calls. On another occasion didn't show up at all.
Great police station, very helpful staff. Most of the one star reviews are hilarious to read. Someone who got arrested gave it a one star lol
Had a concerning situation that was very well handled over the phone by St Kilda police... proactive and helpful. Much appreciated.
Molto gentili. Sono stati molto pazienti e premurosi nell'aiutarmi. Un'accoglienza che in Italia non mi aspetterei mai
great experience, they got my airpods out the bin. really gross but also really appreciate it 10/10 keep it up
Had a very good experience with a friendly officer to certify some documents at the reception.
Attended an abusive man in carlisle st very promptly and resolved the situation quickly
Total waste of time don’t bother contacting these guys in the case of an emergency.
I did call the police 3 times and thy did not pay attention at all SAD SAD
