I have a policy with this office for some years and occasionally I contact the office to make changes and I have always received a very good service. A few days ago I contacted to add a car for my daughter and the first reaction of the agent is to scare me with the price that was going to increase my policy because my daughter is a new driver, I truly get frustrated for his reaction. (like he is who's going to pay for it) during the call the agent did nothing but show dissatisfaction to help me even with his tone of voice and when he has to respond to my questions, but the worst thing is the little respect for his customers, when I finally decided to confront his attitude he just made fun of me, he definitely leaves a very bad image to a company with years of reputation on the field . My only recommendation is that if you call this office and Steve Cheesman takes the call, do yourself a favor and do not establish any type of service that comes from this So-called insurance agent, he is arrogant and extremely condescending, I recommend you not to give him your money and business especially when there are professional people with better work ethics to serve their clients. (for the office I recommend to listen the conversation and find the type of “agent” you have Monday , June 28 around 1:00 to 2:00pm)

Horrible customer service. I'd advise not working with Steve Stam in particular. Towards the end of our years with him when he realised our auto insurance would skyrocket if we stayed (because of new postal code) he became very rude and condescending to my wife and i. Took money out of my account twice after cancellation and rufused to do anything about it. Was dishonest about premiums in the past saying i paid x-amount when in fact it was lower (i keep all paperwork from previous years), but my insurance went up last year, even though i have immaculate driving record and zero claims. He said "well insurance prices went up" even though my wife's and everyone else i know on Allstate didn't? Also dishonest regarding DriveSafe program. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Allstate.

I wish there were 0 stars! Absolutely terrible service, my mother purchased a vehicle yesterday and immediately after purchasing it we went to Allstate where she currently has her insurance policy and the lady there; Leanne was an absolute disaster. She was rude, impolite, made my mother cry and completely ruined our day after all our joy for buying the new vehicle. I 100% was very upset and disgusted with the service she needs to lose her job, she clearly is not meant to be working in customer service I wish that no one ever has to deal with her. Terrible terrible terrible service absolute disaster, stay clear of Leanne!!!!

Allstate agent Erich Rother looked after me when I walked into the Upper James office at 4.30......he was very thorough and knowledgeable and reaffirmed my feelings about Allstate......he reminds me of Louis Tsai who was a fabulous agent back in the 80's who convinced me to change to Allstate back then.....I see in this young man the same traits which brought me to the company back then......Allstate is very lucky to have this guy as I was getting very disheartened with the service from another location......after all is said and done, it's always about the people and Erich is 5 stars in my humble opinion.

Dishonest, horrible customer service, incompetent, careless of loyal customers. They literally steal peoples money! Taking money for a car that is not being used knowing that we are expecting a baby in September because they couldn't get a hold of me; still tried to work around it and sent a cancellation letter only to receive an email telling me I cannot cancel until September. Mind you I am also selling my car since it not a suitable car for a newborn baby before September, it is just sitting on display not being used and yet I am being charged for it. Also FIRE LEANNE!!!

AJ helped me get my insurance for my car. He was so helpful and informative! He made it so easy for me and broke down all the details for me. This is my first time ever purchasing some kind of insurance and he really made me feel comfortable during the time we talked. He was real and to the point. No pushing of additional add ons and such. I told him what I wanted and he worked with me and made sure I understood the premise of everything I was paying for. 1234567/10 recommend him and Allstate for their awesome prices too. Other places were quoting me $150-$200 more!

SOOOO GRATEFUL FOR DONALD AND SAMANTHA AT ALLSTATE HAMILTON!!! I’ve been with RBC insurance for over 10 years and I never really questioned anything until one day I was shopping for quotes and happen to get a call back from Samantha. She was so professional and so friendly. She immediately connected me with Donald who was so thorough with the whole process and made it so easy for me to change over my insurance that same week! Thank you so much guys, I highly recommend Donald and Samantha to anyone who wants this type of exceptional customer service!!!!!

Donald at All State Upper James has been my Home and Auto insurance agent for 6 years. He is very professional, experienced, caring, compassionate, and always makes the best efforts to meet our needs. He replies almost every single email or call. When he is really busy, he will ask his assistant, Samantha to reply or call me back promptly. His assistant Samantha is also very polite, patient and willing to help. I've been having very good experience with them! Will definitely recommend Donald and Samantha to my friends and whoever has similar needs!

It's been about a year and they still haven't changed their service? What a shame. Don't bring your business here. If there's a choice for no stars I would've chosen no stars. Not only did the lady at the desk have attitude (as another reviewer mentioned) but the other three I've encountered as well. One guy was yawning while instructing me to go to the front, another worker was walking slouched dragging his feet on the ground like he didn't want to work and the other was in the back not willing to help with service.

first if ur in an accident never send them pictures. this saves them money. they can determine if ur car is a write off just from the pics. make sure they send an estimator to see the vehicle. second, the rental coverage they say it can pay you up to 900 dollars. what they dont tell u if ur cars a write off its just a week once they give u an amount for the damaged car. these people have no soul!!!! horrid agency to deal with. stay away!!! hope this helps someone. karma will get them in the end.

SCAM!!!!! They will quote you a low price. 6 months later they will try to charge you double the price due to new rules... when I denied extra payments because I already signed for one year at a price they quoted they terminated my account and kept one month payments. Total scam and unethical. Don't trust this company. Kareem was so unhelpful and only offered to help me by changing me more instead of having the company cover the difference since the problem was due to agent. SCAM!!!!

I recently dealt with agent Leanne L regarding a request for information related to our mortgage. She was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and very pleasant to work with! My request was time sensitive and she followed up with me more than once to check in and make sure everything had been properly taken care of. It's hard to find this level of customer service these days and it's very much appreciated. Thanks again Leanne!

Eric(Erich Rother) handled my case. He is super friendly, knowledgeable and he always replied my emails very promptly. Initially I was told by the car dealer the delivery date of my new car should be around 08/10 and Eric created the policy for me very quickly. Later on the delivery date was postponed by the dealer and Eric re-created my policy again to accommodate the change. I'm very happy about the service. Kudos to Eric!

I have been dealing with a claim for a month and the girl on the phone *Jennifer* has a nasty attitude that needs to be dealt with immediately They offer no help and next to no information on how to go about moving things forward. Because of this. I am actively moving all of my insurance including my business insurance to a company that talks to people with respect.

Horrific customer service. I had to spend over 4 hours over the course of several phone calls, fighting an $50 NSF fee because TWO different agents entered my payment details incorrectly on two separate occasions. I will actively do my best to dissuade friends and family from choosing Allstate, and look forward to cancelling my policy and moving on to literally any other insurance company.

Personally is the best agency to go with, AJ my agent helped me out substantially and actually saved my behind by getting a fee waved because I didn’t have enough this man is a gem! If you do go with Allstate which I would highly recommend! Go with AJ he’s always there no matter the time he’s always answered and helped me out. Only reason I am rating 3 stars is because a nice lady, Cathy Medwid restored my faith by getting me the information I needed promptly and effectively. My first interaction with an agent by the name of Jennifer did not go so well. She failed to get back to me at all regarding my inquiry. I would give a 1 star rating if it weren't for Cathy who deserves 5 stars for her efforts.

I am disappointed that l cannot speak to anyone at the branch. Have called the branch number many times and have been directed to a call centre to desk with my enquires. There have been issues with my policies and no one can give me a straight answer. Allstate treats some policyholders as if they are potential fraudsters. I have changed insurance companies

Worst customer support ever. They wouldn’t assist me at all. Send me multiple emails within minutes when they want money from me. When I need something answered I have been waiting 2 weeks now after sending multiple emails day after day after day and not a word back still. You’ll find more professional behavior at McDonald’s than here.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service from Steve. Very condescending, patronizing and unhelpful. I have recommended him before but in the past couple of years, he’s been difficult to deal with and he makes you feel how unwilling he is to help. Definitely taking my business somewhere else.

Late mailing important papers, not helpful at all when I got in an accident. Told me to call in to get everything taken care of, and then was told they can't take care of me. Next call I got was work being shut down. Thanks for the closest fight to suicide I've ever had, Allstate.

Perfessioanlism and attentive service by AJ Al Johani helped me save $1200 a year when I combined my home and auto. I would highly reccommend Allstate Insurance but more so I would reccommend having AJ Al Johani as your agent. Best insurance service I have ever had!

Polite enough on the phone, but calling office results in being transferred to an agent outside of the area. Unable to offer better prices. My rate went up 60$/monthly, with 0 accidents or 0 tickets, simply because "environmental factors" Left Allstate.
