The newly constructed apartment had just been occupied by my niece when the torrential storm hit and flooded the kitchen. I called Denise’s office and enquired my about coverage. The e plantation was most helpful. That same day, the adjuster called me back. I was impressed! The adjuster explained the options available to me and requested photos and a description of the damage. Once the required photos and documents were provided, the adjuster contacted me again and things moved quickly - impressed again! A 3rd call from the adjuster confirmed that all requirements were met and rather than draw things out, the claim was settled. Done!! The funds were deposited to my account and the contractors are well on their way to restoring the unit to its previous new condition. I have had various insurance claims in the past and the service was so/so but the Desjardins experience was non to compare. I was treated with respect and the expediency was notable! Denise provided me a quote for critical illness insurance a couple years ago, and I put it on the backburner. At the time we discussed that as a small business owner, its hard to show loss of income due to illness, which is why Denise recommended the critical illness insurance even though I already had disability insurance. As you all know, recently I have been undergoing cancer treatment so I put in a claim under my disability insurance policy – I received $350! Denise was rude and unprofessional :) In response to Denise's reply: Denise was rude because she refused to provide a quote although I told her I understand I won't be able to get the auto policy through her. She said she was too busy although she asked for all the details. I, unintentionally, mentioned in the middle of my conversation with her, after she received from me all the details needed to provide the quote, that I have my home insured by another agent and I said that agent was a desjardins agent actually when she suddenly refused to even give me a quote and said she is too busy and it will be a waste of time when I told her I still want to know the number even if I didn't get the policy through her office...Denise is disrespectful and rude :)
