Ive been a loyal customer shopping at this store for the past 5 years, first for our mini aussie and now for our new german shepherd puppy. Although theres plenty of other local mom and pop shop businesses around where I could buy my dogs food I choose to come here because of the service. We spend around $200/month here on 2 dogs. Today all that has changed and im not so sure we will ever return. The owners wife who ive met before must have had one hell of a bad day to choose to let it out on me, cart in hand as im shopping. As usual im comparing the non-essentials (toys!) on amazon to decide what makes sense to buy from here and what to buy from Amazon. The conversation turns to the differences in sizes for the chuck it throwers. Cool, cool. All good. She gives some advice and i decide to buy it online. I then proceed to buy other items like treats, toys etc. She returns and notices the chuck it isnt in my cart. Asks if i found a better price and I explain that I did when she continues in the most aghast and annoyed voice ever "people come here for advice and then buy on amazon" "everything is ALWAYS cheaper on Amazon" then walks away like I just wasted her time and air. So shes basically alluding to why am i even in here wasting her time. She returns and I correct her and explain some items are cheaper through her store and give off a few examples which dont seem to change her sour face or attitude as she walks away. The lovely store associate at the cash register actually helps me and provides kind advice and assistance, rings up my $200 purchase and walks to my car to help load my items. I explained to her that i was very close to leaving everything and never coming back, im sure my business would be better appreciated at Bone and Biscuit across the street. I still havnt decided if ill return here but whether she was having a bad day or not this woman should not be public facing regardless if her husband owns the business. In the future I hope you learn from your mistake and do better and treat people more kindly and with basic human respect not just like their human cash registers. Update. Im ammending my review based on finding comments from this person fabricating lies about the incident saying i bought "some things " and then spent 40 minutes talking to me?!?! 5 minutes if that.

We were prepping for our new puppy and needed to stock up on EVERYTHING! Lauren, from the Rhymal branch in Stoney Creek, was SUCH A GREAT HELP to me, that I have to share how her professional and friendly manner made all the difference in my experience, also, this ENTIRE conversation was COMPLETELY OVER THE PHONE, and it did not compromise the experience at all! I have never felt so accommodated and welcomed with such SUPPORTIVE and PATIENT SERVICE! She took the time to really listen to my concerns and gave informative feedback to help me in choosing between products. When I was stuck in making a decision, she sent me pictures of the products to give me a visual- which was greatly appreciated especially since there are SO MANY PUPPY TOYS!!! For me, I DREDD the shopping experience as I find the the hassles of it can be frustrating in reading descriptions, ingredients and materials (and yes... I am the type of person that actually does in fact read the labels), she made the whole experience so pleasant, I literally felt that I had her undivided attention. When I told her about things that I was looking for, she was so up to date w what products were ‘top sellers’ as well as multiple other options- In the end, I purchased a good amount of products that prepared us well for our new puppy to arrive! In this day and age I appreciate the efforts of the knowledgeable staff in a business establishment for their assistance and knowledge based services. Thank You to Lauren who made my experience so positive! I will be enquiring to them again if I need anything else- I would HIGHLY recommend them!

I went in to pick up treats and a scratcher for my cat to tide her over while we are layed over for our move as well as something to help her with being scared of all the new sounds of downtown apartment living, and Jackie went above and beyond with a recommendation to help my little girl settle in our temporary home which has helped keep her from hiding all day and night and from every sound she's not use to. I would highly recommend the staff at this location, they are honest, knowledgeable, friendly and they have your pets best interests in mind when selling or recommending a product. Thank you Jackie for helping me get my little girl back to as normal as she can in this strange time for her!

Great service, we recently adopted a rescue dog, I went into your store looking for advice on a good quality dog food. The sales gentleman spent a lot of time with me helping me make an informed decision on which brand to buy. As it turns out the Rescue Agency and our vet were both happy with the brand that I decided on. Thanks for taking the time. I did not get that kind of knowledge or attention at Pet Smart and I have since bought all our “new dog” needs from Global. Including a Shedrow dog coat which has been amazingly warm for him. I wish I got the name of my salesperson to acknowledge him but I will next time :)

This is an amazing store staffed by amazing people!! I’ve shopped here for two generations of “the girls” for more than a decade and they’ve helped me choose the right foods, the right treats and even the right toys lol. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I’ve come to know most of the staff and they know me...and what’s good for the dogs and their sometimes finicky stomachs. And there’s never any worries about “out of stock” on the stuff you buy regularly because the staff will maintain standing special orders if you ask. Best customer service ever, thanks Mel, Graham, Lauren and everyone!!!

Just finished speaking with Lauren at Global Pet Foods on Rymal Road in Stoney Creek. Have been trying to find a particular brand of treats as a gift for a puppy. We don’t yet know a lot about dog treats but this brand has been recommended by the veterinarian so wanted to keep things consistent for this little guy. Lauren could not have been more helpful. She has found a way to get the exact brand, in different flavours. Lauren is friendly and very understanding, which is kinda’ exceptional so we wanted to share this. We will go out of our way to stay with Global Pet Foods on Rymal Road!

I’ve been very fortunate to have several pets over the years and have shopped at many local pet food stores in the Hamilton area. I have to say, with 3 cats and 1 dog to shop for, nothing beats the experience and customer service from this GPF location. I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with the store manager Lauren, on many occasions. She is kind and offers a genuine approach on fulfilling my pet needs in a timely manor which really is make or break my pet shopping experience. Thank you for being amazing Lauren and team you guys are owning this! Especially during the pandemic!

Despite their small footprint, the store has a wide variety and selection of everything you would expect to find at your local pet store - but they also carry some specialty products, as well as foods and treats for pets with specific dietary needs/sensitivities. Our dog, Karma, doesn't do well at all on traditional beef, chicken, etc treats - we get wild boar, rabbit, and kangaroo treats here for her as they sit well with her. Very hard to find single or limited ingredient treats made from novel proteins elsewhere! Friendly and helpful staff, thankyou!

This is my go-to shop for all my pets' needs! We have two dogs and a cat and we shop here monthly for anything from our dog and cat food to toys, ointments, beds and anything else our fur babies might need. The owners and staff are super informative and always take the time to go over our many questions. With everything going on with Covid, they have been super diligent to make sure the customers are safe and still able to get all of the items, even offering curb-side pickup! Amazing! I will always continue to shop local :)

The staff at Global Pet Foods Rymal are very knowledgeable about their products and offer the best service I've ever experienced from a pet store. When it comes to supplements, treats and gear for my dog they always have what I need. My dog is allergic to chicken and requires a no chicken raw feeding and they always have my special order ready for when I need it. Love this place....... I was in Stoney Creek doggy sitting and I went here twice. First lovely young lady helped me with some treats and then Malik helped with some toys and yes more treats. Everyone I dealt with here was super accommodating and friendly, upbeat and ready to help. When I'm back in Stoney Creek I'll definitely pass by for more pet related items.

I can’t describe how nice and kind they are… I visited the store today to look about the raw food for my kittens and the worker their was so much friendly, kind, lovely, it is literally the best fit for this job and he loves what he is doing… he helped me a lot and for sure I will visit this store always for my cats food.. thanks a lot for being so nice ☺️

Totally worth shopping here as some items are on buyers programs…buy so many get then next free and the store frequently has discounts and promotions on items. Sure is helpful these days!

Great customer service staff was helpful and friendly. I found the CBD oil in the pawtanical which I was only previously able to find in Toronto. This is a great product which has helped calm my aggressive senior cat. I use it to also help with pain management for my 2 senior cats and it seems to provide relief.

Excellent selection of high quality products. The staff is always lovely, particularly Graham, who blows me away with how genuinely helpful he is. The store is a perfect size for running in quickly and finding exactly what I need, I never knew running errands for a demanding cat could be a pleasant experience!

Just came in to find a new dog food for my pup as he has food allergies. Dee was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and was able to help me out and pick something suitable for my dog very quickly. She definitely made my experience amazing, I have never had an easier time picking out food for my pup!

I love this location! The staff are always super friendly, always have the cat food I need in stock, and the surprise cat treat bags are such a cute idea! They even tailored it to my little kitty's needs, who cannot eat crunchy foods. Highly recommended. :)

The staff at this store are always helpful and happy. It's a pleasure to shop here. They carry a brand of cold smoked bones for dogs that are produced locally and I have not seen in any other pet store I have shopped in.

I've been going to global for a few years now. They're all extremely helpful, and when they don't have what I'm looking for they always special order it in for me. I rarely have to go anywhere else for my pet needs!!

They are very nice in the store and have a good selection, but I found their prices high. I have a lot of animals so even small amounts higher really adds up. I do price shop and they were higher on a few things.
